Oh, I SO wanted to vote #2, but #1 was closer to my feelings on the actual subject. So let me just say for the record; Melian you are a precocious little scamp and I love it ^-^

Can I say much without just repeating Reisen? Not really, but whatever. The way I see it, our tulpas are living, feeling people, and as such they need fun and social interactions. To deny them fun in a place full of similar people like this would be cutting them off from a major source of community. Some tulpas might not be known to anyone outside these forums so to say they can't mess around here sometimesis just mean.

Also, as hosts I believe we can work better on our tulpas together if we have a sense of community. We can't just ignore the people on this site in favour of the science.

To steal and paraphrase from a certain movie villain: If one is to truly understand tulpas one must study all of their aspects, not just the narrow, dogmatic view of the science.

And now to address the other part of your post I defer to Melody:

"Ooh, you reminded me I'm supposed to have painted nails! I just took your advice and hand-painted them grey and purple, it was fun and they look nice! I can't do my toenails because I don't have feet any more... But this was a nice experience!"

Hurray! I so incredibly agree with everything just stated. I am a teensy bit of a scamp but also so skippy fantastical I make myself epic happy all the time and stuff. That's really cool cause I am like with myself all day and night everywhere I go! I am so lucky!

OH Melody, gray and purple nails? Nice! I love purple! See? Why have painted toenails that just suddenly were painted? We are so much more proud of them if we do it ourselves. OH try putting little smiley faces on them next time!

I once wrote this synopsis of one of the Melian Show episodes to give people an idea of what the Melian Show is like. The Melian Show is a series of day dream adventures featuring my thought form Melian. These occur in my mind on a daily basis.

Bride on the Run

Beginning Credits:

Starring Melian as Melian and Mistgod's avatar as the handsome cowboy.

Melian is the daughter of wealthy parents. She lives in a big metropolis city (Dallas?).

The show begins with Melian in a beautiful wedding dress with lots of lace. Her hair is in braids with white hair ribbons. OMG, SO CUTE!! She is about to be married to some suave rich fancy young guy (who is not who he really pretends to be, he is really a jerk and a user, the CAD)!

Moments before the wedding ceremony takes place Melian discovers that her groom to be has been having an affair with her sister! This revelation occurs in such a way that the entire crowd at the wedding learns of it at the same moment.

Melian is so distraught, humiliated and embarrassed, she runs from her own wedding in her gown. She jumps in her fancy sports car and drives away recklessly!

Melian drives for many hours, heedless of her direction! She is so heart broken and devastated!

Finally she runs out of gas in this little tiny town in the country surrounded by cattle farms. She stumbles into a near by coffee shop and sits at a table. She sits woodenly, staring blankly her eyes filled with tears.

A small group of locals watched in surprise as she wandered in, wearing her wedding dress. After a moment, one of the waitresses (named Sally, a really sweet old lady) wonders over and starts asking if she is okay.

Melian breaks down and tells the story to the small group of locals. They are shocked and sympathetic. They give her some pie and comforting words. She goes right to their hearts (of course).

The local sheriff and his wife own a tiny motel with two rooms for rent. The sheriff offers to give her a room at no charge until she gets things sorted. It's safe! Melian offers to pay, she has big credit cards in the purse in her car! The sheriff insists the room is free as long as she needs it.

Melian decides to stay a few days. She calls her family back home and reassures them she is okay and is just staying in the small town for a while to sort things out in her mind. She lets them know where she is and how to contact her.

Days go by. Melian helps in the coffee shop and around the motel to keep busy and pay the locals back for their kindness.

Enter handsome cowboy (played by Mistgod's avatar).

She meets him and they become quick friends. He is very much a gentleman, albeit a bit awkward with the ladies, rough and dirty from the ranch work. He shows her the sites around the tiny town and takes her horse riding. The land is beautiful!

Melian decided to stay some more days. Seems she needs more getting her head straight.

Enter Conflict!

Melian's groom rejects the sister and comes looking for Melian, bringing a couple of his thug goon "friends" with him. He comes and finds her in the town. He pulls her aside and explains that "they had an arrangement and an agreement" and that she is "betrothed" and "promised." He makes it clear that she is like property and belongs to him.

An understandably indignant Melian starts to tell groom where he can put his betrothal agreement. He explains that she is very much obliged to carry out the wedding or else. It seems he is a very shady character after all with secret dirt information against her father and the company he runs. He won't make the news public and ruin her father if she simply does what she is supposed to do. The news is so bad (embezzlement to cover debts to the mob, to which the groom belongs) her father would go to prison for the rest of his life. In prison he would be a "marked man." The debt will be forgiven and forgotten if she marries the mobster groom.

She reluctantly agrees to leave the small town with the groom. She breaks the news to the cowboy. The cowboy is shocked and startled and demands to know why she would agree to go back to him! She resists at first, but finally tells the cowboy the whole story.

There is a huge confrontation between the cowboy, the groom, the thug goons as they try to forcefully take Melian away. Cowboy kicks their asses in a big fight scene with most of the town watching.

Cowboy reveals his deep love for Melian in front of everyone. He will cover her father's debts to the company. In fact, he is secretly very wealthy as he inherited his father's ranch AND his oil wealth recently. He will hire her father and protect him from the mob.

Cowboy proposes marriage to Melian before the whole town! Melian, in sobbing tears, accepts and hugs him tight!

Town citizens applaud while mobsters slink away in humiliation and disgrace only to be arrested by the sheriff for disturbing the peace, assault, attempted kidnapping, extortion and racketeering. He will find some other charges later...he has good friends in the FBI.

Roll Credits!

A new addition (edit) to the Book of Melian.

Day Dream Star, Role Playing Character, Alter-Ego

Melian and I don’t really like to use the words “role playing character” or “character” to describe her. Mainly because they seem demeaning to her and make it sound like she is less important and significant than she is. Also, role playing characters are deliberately created like a literary character. Melian was never deliberately created. She just appeared to me or came to me. I see her as her own person and that is how she describes herself and wants to be considered (or okay, fine, how my imagination makes me think she wants to be considered).

Despite our dislike of the term, it is actually an accurate description (ugh) when it comes to her being channeled onto the internet through me. At least, it is accurate from the perspective of someone else communicating with her. To me she is much more than a role played character. Still, it would be an accurate term to some average mundane person trying to comprehend her, albeit way too simplified.

When Melian is not on the internet talking to others, she is a private day dream star and imaginary friend. She is more often a day dream star. I “watch” her in her adventures within the Melian Show day dream adventures that run like movies in my mind. In fact, I would say Day Dream Star is a much more accurate descriptor of Melian, most of the time, than imaginary friend.

We also do not like “alternate personality” or “alternate ego.” We don’t like these terms because they imply that I become Melian and stop being myself. This never happens! Melian and I do not switch places like someone with multiple personalities. Also, the terms “alternate ego” and “alternate persona” are often closely associated with mental illness. I would prefer she were considered a role played character rather than an alternate, for those persons who cannot grasp how significant she is for me and her complexity. At least role playing character is much more accurate than alternate ego.

I was up all night drawing Melian again. She collaborated by "posing" in the mindspace for me again and gave little comments here and there. See the art on my last post there up above.

MELIAN'S UNUSUAL "ADVANCED TULPA SKILLS"

Merging and Integration (while we are awake, but especially while dreaming)(Edit: Since this post was first written, Melian have adopted better terminology such as "blending" and "collaborating" instead of "merging" or "integrating.")

Melian's "Tulpa Level" = Highest possible, as in epic level. LOL Extraordinary and amazing and unique thoughtform.

(Hint: Yeah, Melian can merge/integrate, but we don't believe in tulpa levels, as in a hiearchy of tulpa powers. It is all an illusion anyway and totally subjective. No one but the host can experience any of what happens with the tulpa).

July 27th will be my three month anniversary on Tulpa Info. Last night, in the chat, I got way too personal with talking about private emotional things and anxiety and things about my nature for Davie. It should not have been discussed in public at all. I was having a bad night and it wasn't a good situation.

In fact, the chat rooms seem never to be a good place for me. I am either fighting with other people, fighting with the mods or talking about things I shouldn't and acting crazy.

The forum is a much better place for me. It really is.
