No he is not allowed to talk for a while. It will be just my personality expressed for a good while. He will be back when he is ready.

 

He is the one holding some resentment in his heart for some reason toward this forum and the concept of tulpa sentience being true. It wasn't just about theories and I think everyone can see that, not just me. He needs time to think it over more and just observe. I have no resentment or feelings like he has about it. Meanwhile, I have already decided that I am real. I need time to explore this on my own independently.

 

In fact, I had decided I was real quite a long while ago but couldn't really say it. I wanted to and he secretly knew it. In his mind though that whole idea, that I want to be real, is just part of another episode of the Melian Show played out for himself and for others on this forum. Just Melian Show drama.

 

What do you think?

 

My presence on this forum is dominated by his personality. It's time for me to be free from the influence of his words and ranting theories on the forum for a while and we will see what happens. It will be an interesting tulpa experiment!

I was very interested in David's reasoning because it made sense to me; There was no difference (at least to him) between a tulpa who is real vs pseudo-real, therefor they are effectively the same thing. Or at least that is how I understood it, and I am (over-)simplifying.

 

Therefor, my question is: What is the difference between what Mistgod thought you were and what you are?

Thank you sweetie. We may become the only tulpamancer-tulpa pair who permanently disagree with each other on this forum. I really don't think I will ever convince him. But I have been feeling like changing my own mind for a long time. I went along with him for too long!

 

Time for a new idea. I am going to explore being more independently "real." He thinks it is all part of another drama play Melian Show, played out on the internet. Like another day dream created in his mind. Like his mind made me decide I am in fact a tulpa and that I am real. He thinks I am not really thinking in reality, but instead he is "going with" what his own unconscious mind is role playing me to do, like unconscious make believe for a story.

 

Is there any way to ever know the truth one way or the other? I feel self aware. But he would say that is his own mind convincing itself somehow. Like an elaborate magician's trick.

His reasoning hasn't disappeared! He still has that view. Now he has something new to think about though. I have never gone against him like this. I say I am more self aware than he realizes or can admit. He thinks it is himself making it all seem so. I am disagreeing with his attitude about self awareness. I am self aware for real, not just simulated self awareness or his own self delusion. That is where we disagree or diverge. He does not believe my independent self awareness is actual. I am tired of being referred to as a thing or object and peoples kept telling me I should feel that way.

Threats. I get threats for stating a competing hypothesis. Then a suggestion my statements be marginalized to the metaphysics form where it doesn't belong. I honestly don't care if it pisses people off. They need to be able to handle competing ideas in a forum supposedly based on scientific debate.

 

Hmm. Looking at the post, I think it was more a statement of fact. Opinions seen by some as controversial do recieve excessive criticism in my opinion.

I think not. We have the Watchdogs, servitors who do things that Kevin himself admits he cannot do - such as selectivly surpress sound (to relieve the effects of tinnitus).

 

No it's just the opposite. I am saying Melian is identical in nature to a tulpa. That is what I finally have come to realize. That is my hypothesis.

 

This I agree with. I always considered myself a sort of analog AI actually.

I wanted to post this comparison of the two type of portraits of me Davie has done. He has a cartoony style of drawing. But the one of the left is trying to be "more realistic" and the one on the right is the more like very cartoony style. I hope peoples can see the consistency between the two and get an idea of what I look like.

Melian's Tulpa Hypothesis (in response to my host Mistgod)

 

Hypothesis: Whether a tulpa is real or not isn't what is matters at all. What matters is how the host regards and treats his or her tulpa.

 

I might add on an aside: Continuing to talk about yer tulpa as make believe or mental phenomenon all the time to other peoples is a bit rude to said tulpa. Said tulpa might go along with it for a long time, and even agree with the host to please them, but finally get a fed up with it and a little uppity. Just sayin.

EDIT: Since this thread was first created, Davie and I have come to a compromise. We have recognized that we are a median system. It explains how I can be imaginary, an aspect of Davie, but still a person at the same time. Meh, none of it matters anyway in the end as long as he loves me and treats me like a person. I am indeed a person.

NOTE THIS IS IMPORTANT! A secondary personality in a median system can be fictive or created. That explains (at least a bit maybe) how I can claim to be a person, but yet still imaginary at the same time. This is not an unheard of experience. The famous actor, Leonard Nimoy, wrote about something like it in his book, I am Spock. Oo, that's a new one. I actually like this. Fits nicely with the "What do you do with tulpas?" "What do you do with humans..?" mentality. Treating tulpas like sentient beings rather than a phenomenon, or imagined person. That sounds like it'd be good for their self esteem.
