Melian's flaming heart!  This image came us in a mutual dream.  We are planning to do more of these.  Melian likes hearts, swirly designs, Maori style tribal art and flames.  So we may use this combination again sometime.  Art, and lucid dreaming are the methods I use to build a closer link to Melian.  I feel her emotions and hear her thoughts (mind voice) when we collaborate on art.   This is my form of forcing I guess.  I force not to create a tulpa, as Melian is not a tulpa (I am rebelling on that).

Melian:  Yeah, I love it!  Totally came out all swirly flaming epic heartness.

(Hey there, I just wanted to say that we listened to your interview with Jean-Luc, and all Hostie could say was 'wow'.

In a few spots, it kind of sounded like you were describing the creative process a playwright or screenwriter goes through, and both of us think you have a novel hiding in there somewhere. Also, I think you're right about the psychology of creativity - when it does finally get the attention in academia it deserves in half a century or so, perhaps we'll be mentioned.

OtherHalf wants you to know he almost stood up and cheered in the waking world when we got to the part where you said you were unafraid to tell your story now.

Keep being controversial, and Mellie, you keep being awesome. As a community, we're lucky to have you.)

I would just add that you should try being a novelist or something - I'm in for a few autographed copies of your first publication...

Rei: more than a tulpa-she's a crisis counselor, an art therapist, a dietician, a relationship coach, a team morale expert, an athlete, an adventurer, a hawt wife, an incredible lover, an amazing mom, my best friend.

Tove: she's not a little tigress anymore! She's still the go-to gal for soccer advice and creative inspiration, especially monster design and all things cinematic...congrats on your engagement!

Thank you SO MUCH! I have been kinda down lately and feeling unwelcome. If people only knew how I felt about Melian, they would have no doubts about me despite anything crazy I may say. I love her with all of my heart! I just want to share that passion and obsession with folks who will get it. Along the way, I don't want to be told (or even have it implied) that Melian is less than what she needs to be. She is just perfect for me just as she is and as good as any tulpa ever was! I am convinced that thought-forms become actualized in the form needed for the mind that creates them. Melian is for me.

I actually had a person (basically an elitist snob) tell me Melian is "stagnant." The implication of that statement is clear. Melian is considered inferior by the person who said it. I do not like that sort of attitude and to be honest, it has had me considering leaving the forum for good more than once. In fact, I did rage out once, but then came back determined to be stubborn and tell MY story.

I am extremely grateful to jean-luc for doing that podcast with me and for anyone wiling to sit for an hour and a half and listen to it! I appreciate your time and interest in Melian so very much. Thank you, thank you!

You, Rei and Tove just rekindled my hope for staying in this forum. I do need to mellow out a little, which I will. If I do ever publish a book (not that far fetched actually) I will be sure that you get an autographed copy! LOL

Hey, there's something I've wanted to say for a while. If there's anything you definitely changed during your time here, it's my host's views on roleplaying, as well as mine. I joined an MLP roleplay group on dA a while back. Given the whole RP thing with you guys and your stuffs and things like that, you were part of what pushed me to join the group. All of your talk about roleplaying really interested me and I wanted to give it a shot. Needless to say, I enjoy roleplaying so much with the people in that group. Also, I know this sounds silly, but to be honest, I kinda forgot that I wasn't talking to other tulpas at first. I play a character while still acting like myself most of the time. It felt weird at first, but I got used to it. What I didn't expect to happen was to fall in love with another OC, much less another female OC. Because of this, I am in a canon relationship with another OC named "Soul Quartz," and Soulion is now an OTP. I was going through sort of a depressive episode before I joined the group, but now I'm having more fun that I ever thought I would. So yeah, thanks for being the kick start I needed to get into roleplaying. -Aphelion

Awww, no way! That is is awesomesauce to hear! David didn't understand the fear of role players in this forum and was outspoken about it. We made waves immediately upon joining, because we wanted to come in and make changes in the culture right off the bat. Hey, being quiet and passive newbies was not our style! It may have seem rude and abrupt, but our intentions are good.

For one thing, we see very clearly that tulpamancy and tulpas are very closely related to role playing. After all, both require visualization and narration of imaginary personas! It is David's strong belief that tulpas indeed do have an element of role playing in their development (parroting, proxy and narration are all a type of role playing). Role playing is not an evil word for tulpas and not a bad thing.

Tulpas can role play with each other, either in character (tulpa portraying an alternate persona) or as themselves. Humans can role play, so why can't tulpas? What better way for them to communicate and share their wonderlands and their form and personalities? David and I call it "sharing the cyberspace wonderland." You are literally joining wonderlands together. Yes, third person narrative is sometimes used. So? Big whoop! How can elements of language hurt the legitimacy of a tulpa? You are still here and you, no matter what words you say or how you describe yourself and what you are doing.

*Melian tilts her head and looks sweet and thoughtful. In her dreamscape, butterflies flutter about around her. David is sitting at his keyboard, unshaven and blurry eyes early in the morning.* <--see narratives and we are still us, nothing bad happened!

I think the fear of third person narration is that it looks TO OTHERS like the host is role playing and that there is no tulpa, only a game of make believe. But, if you are secure in existing and yourself, there should be no fear in what others perceive. When it comes to narration, it's me, Melian! So David doesn't give a rip if I do some narrating or he narrates for me.

We do understand what folks have been saying about the perception of the forum and chat as a whole, to guests and newbies, who see third person narration going on between tulpas and humans. David and I do see where that would be misleading and confusing. So we have accepted that there are good reasons for the rules against it in the chat rooms. In private conversations however, we let it all hang out. *giggle*

Okay on the role playing romance, I was a bit confoozled. Aphelion, do you mean your OC, the character you are playing, fell in love with an OC or that you personally did? I mean it can happen either way. One of the dangers of a vivid imagination my friend! Either way it is cute. I love that name "Soul Quartz."

Thank you so much for your comments and I am glad we could inspire you! Lovies and huggies to you my buddy!

~Melian

I agree with Aphelion. I haven't personally started roleplaying recently, and neither has Fenchurch, but I definitely like your perspective on it, and I agree that it can be very valuable.

I've been writing something. Not sure if it's a book, or something I'd rather post here. But anyway, it's on the value of things that aren't real. You've given me so many ideas for that.

Melian is not a tulpa, but there is so much to learn from you two. I think it's a shame that some people would rather leave the community than see that.

I personally fell in love with her. This picture. This picture right here is what caused me to fall in love with her.

Me and Acta have been writing a story about the RPs that go on in the group. We have a lot of fun writing them, and the masquerade dance was probably our favorite chapter to write. It was where I confessed my love to her. If you're interested in reading it, here are the links to the chapter.

(Not to threadjack here, but I wonder how many novels, video games or screenplays are going to be born out of c.t.info, and which of us forum goons are gonna be first?)
