Confessions of a Poorly Trained Tulpa

I like your favourite tree ^^.

 

 

Was quite interesting to see inside your room. Melian really is everywhere huh?

 

I love that tree!

 

There are even more drawings and paintings of Melian now, from many artists, and they are all over the house. I do put up pictures of my wife as well of course. LOL She doesn't seem to mind the obsession and loves Melian as much as I do. I have a great wife.

I am jealous. I know my girlfriend would never accept Fenchurch. My girlfriend lives in reality, and for her sake, I try to pretend that I live there too. Unfortunately, that means that Fenchurch will probably never get Christmas presents, or have conversations with my family, and I'll never be able to post videos of myself or my room on here. I tore down and threw out the only physical picture I had of her when my girlfriend moved in.

 

But then I think about how I'd never be able to handle the military or raising children, and I don't envy you too much. :)

Sometimes when you talk about Melian, you remind me of Fenchurch when she was young. (Of course she's still very young compared to Melian, but you know what I mean.)

 

I think perhaps Fenchurch started out something like Melian. In her first week or so, I would go into the wonderland, and pretty much shut myself down to "be" her. I wouldn't say that I was puppeting -- it felt more like she was in control, right from the start. It really surprised me how she was instantly thinking of things that I hadn't thought of, and looking at things in a different way than I do. You might even say that in ways, she was more independent then that she is now. Then she was more curious and adventurous, now she's more stoic and resigned.

 

But at that time, I was convinced that we couldn't both exist simultaneously -- until the first time I spoke directly to her. We've hardly used the wonderland since then, and she's become a much more typical tulpa.

 

I don't know quite what she was then. Something like an integrated dreamform, but perhaps something else. I don't think we'll ever go back that way though. I'm more about imposition, and she's a bit of a realist, so neither of us is given much to daydreams.

Perhaps Melian and I became accustomed to that integration. I have used the word "merging" before to describe how we feel when we collaborate. There is something to be said for that state of in between, where the lines dividing thought form from host are more blurred. I think Melian has been where she is for so long, it would be a terrible shock to move in a different direction. I think we are both attached to the system we have.

 

This morning I woke from a dream in which she was showing me a new dress with flowers on it and green gauzy sleeves. She got upset when I couldn't remember the color of the dress itself upon waking. I felt her irritation as I was writing down the dream. It felt like exasperation that I was not remembering the dream we created together. It was indeed a collaboration and every thing we do is that way. I am working on remembering those dreams better and having more lucid dreams. It is working, slowly.

 

I think that collaboration comes out most in our art. Without that close bond and integration, what we do with the art just wouldn't be possible. It's impossible to describe how we inspire each other and work back and forth creating a finished piece.

I'm sorry to hear that. I guess I am very lucky at that! I do have pangs of regret that it took me so very long to finally tell people about her. Once she was out there in the world, she grew very quickly changing for the better in a very short period of time. Melian is more now than she was two years ago. I am so happy others have finally gotten to know her.

 

You are lucky to live in the internet age, where you can share Fenchurch from the start with people who can appreciate her!

To everyone:

 

I just want you all to know, I plan to be around in the tulpa community for years, and years, and years and years and years into the future. I will be politely stating my opinions and ideas, albeit boldly and LOUDLY, on this forum without fear. I will be learning from you guys and sharing my own experiences as well. Thank you to those who can take it and who can gain from it. I am on many different forums, not just Tulpa Info. Like I have stated before, it is just one stop along the way for me. Indeed, any silly words, games or efforts by individuals trying to persuade me to leave, simply because they dislike my opinions and personality, only EMBOLDENS me to stay for GOOD. Thank you so much!
