  2. Do not misconstrue my attitude toward tulpamancy from the title, I value tulpas as a method of social fulfillment, I am making this to publicly ponder as I have in my head. I have been thinking about how tulpamancy might be applied in a way that could be directly beneficial to others than the host, in other words a practical application, I have heard that the current weight lifting world record was set by a man who only managed to lift that much because a hypnotist convinced him that if he didn't lift the weight his daughters would die. While this may or may not be true it is fairly well known that humans are known to be able to exceed their known limits in times of peril, this would mean that there is some sort of psychological block in place that prevents us from breaking our limits. I will not deny that hormones certainly have an effect however if you can make a tulpa that can ignore the psychological limits then you can create a tulpa that will respond to the given situation by releasing adrenaline in a beneficial manner. I do understand that there are some moral concerns with doing this however I think that a servitor could achieve the intended result and thus no sentient beings would be harmed in the given situation. I do also understand that those blockers are there to prevent yourself from overexerting and dying, to that I have nothing to say, this is just theory after all.
  3. Sorry if this aint the right place for it, but I really feel like I just cannot keep a good habit of getting Forcing and the like done. Like, its sorta strange too, because its not just "ughhh i dont want to do this", its also got a bit of "what if Im puppeting too much and Im gonna screw it up", or "am I just doing this wrong in general". So uh, any tips and or tricks to actually getting around to helping em out? I dont want to just leave em in the dust AGAIN. Ive done it for too long already.
  4. Hi all, I'm (intentionally) creating a tulpa for the first time. She's a dragon named Celestine. I've been working on her for a little under two weeks, though more sporadically than I'd like. She's already a bit talkative and fairly inquisitive about our surroundings. I asked her if she wanted to try hot chocolate, and she agreed. While walking to a coffee shop on our campus, I decided to imagine her walking beside me so that we could get some more active forcing in. We chatted a bit, and I told her about an experience I had a few years back. I have an OC that I created five years ago that's very dear to my heart. I have roleplayed as them or with someone playing them quite a lot, and I hyperfixated on something a friend and I wrote that has them as a main character. Last summer, I found out about the loss of someone who roleplayed as them with me in the past; to process my grief, I imagined my OC and I talking about it. To this day, I draw them a lot, write about them a lot, and talk about them a lot. In 2022, I was having a bad day and was pretty upset. As I was starting to cry, I clearly heard their voice in my head say "Everything's going to be alright. I'll always be here for you if you need me, okay?" After feeling very calm for a second, I immediately freaked the hell out. The friend that I wrote about them with has DID, and the host + several of their alters are extremely against tulpas and endogenic systems. It's something that they had made exceedingly clear, and still do. I was terrified that they would hate me, so even though I felt confused and a little scared, I didn't tell anybody about it. Instead, I did my best to ignore what happened and intentionally shut down anything that came out of it. My OC didn’t come back. I explained that stuff to Celestine as we were walking to get hot chocolate (sans my friend’s involvement; I try not to worry about that too much around her). I also described my OC’s appearance, and a bit of their personality. I mentioned that once I get Celestine to a good place, I might try to revive them, if we were both okay with that. She immediately got distracted by rolling around in the snow. A while after we got to the coffee shop, she told me that she was tired and went to go take a nap in the mindscape. I sat by myself and read a book. When I got up to head home, I forgot what she was doing and tried to talk to her. I immediately heard my OC’s voice in my head saying “Shh, she’s sleeping. You could wake her up.” Startled, I asked if it was them, and they said it was. My OC’s voice was very loud and clear, almost as much as it was the first time. They were definitely louder than Celestine, the tulpa I’m already working on! They even respond if I call their name, hence omitting it from this post. I was planning on waiting to see if I handle sharing my brain with one person well, let alone two, and both have fairly intense personalities. I'm also worried that focusing on my OC too much could lead to some backtracking with Celestine. Is this… a thing that happens??? How should I handle it??

I understand that this looks bad as my first post in this forum, though I assure the reader that I am also regulary interested in tulpamancy and there will be more posts that are more pertinent to this forum in general that are to come from me. So I was just having a normal conversation and tulpas came up and then someone said to research "Max's tulpa saga" thus far I have found nothing of the sort that they had suggested might be out there, I have found lots regarding several Maxs (Maxes?) but so far I am unable to determine anything conclusively. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and I am very sorry if this seems like troll bait I know basically nothing about the internet tulpamancy community. Thank you all in advance and have a very happy new year

  8. I was having some trouble with intrusive imagery that wouldn't go away just by ignoring it. That clown from it, to be more precise. The method I've found to be helpful is to put some reference photo of something else on the computer screen, stare at it then look directly at the intrusive imagery, so that the after image from the monitor would overlay the intrusive imagery as you try to keep it in your mind, and be persistent, it will move to the sides, keep doing it wherever it pops. It's gotten to a point which I don't even remember how the clown looks like anymore. I just get the reference now, the problem is that it seems to morph into something else. It's not as much scary as it is annoying. Just thought that may be helpful to someone experiencing the same thing. If you have any better tips for that, please share it too.
  9. Greetings! My question is: Have you ever met another tulpamancer (or otherwise) in real life? Somebody who knows about tulpas? Or, a tulpa themselves perhaps (by the way, were they made accidentally or on purpose?). If yes, how'd you find out, and what was everyone's reactions? Personally I know two in real life (no internet connections), both of which I guessed based off of a conversation they were having about tulpas. I didn't confront them until later but my suspicions were correct, they certainly had their own tuppers. It's funny, because neither of them knew exactly what they were, they just kinda had them by accident (which happens a lot more than you'd expect!) Unfortunately for me though, this experience happened about four years ago (when my tupper was just a few months old) and I've since lost all ties with them. Anyways, I wanna hear about your guys' experience and stories on the subject. Anything kinda related to this is welcomed (like telling someone about tulpas, or something like that), so don't hold back!

Is it a good idea to talk about my problems to my tulpa and I know the immediate answer is probably yes but I feel like Im seeming to mopey and I'm afraid I'm treating her like a psychologist and I don't want to bother her with issues but its inescapable that my life as of now is filled with problems and they keep getting worse by the day and I don't want my tulpa to be in that environment but anyway back to my question should I still discuss these problems with her
  11. I have some questions about mirrors/black mirrors (A mirror with a black face typically used for scrying) and tulpas. 1. Has anyone used a black mirror to help in creating a tulpa? If so, was it used only for helping in visualizing the tulpa? 2. Would it be helpful visualizing a tulpa while staring at a mirror (Ex: Them standing/sitting/any pose next to you.)

Professional trainings distilled into bite-sized, practical concepts you and your tulpa can work on straight away. Will only create if demand is high enough for this type of content] Preface This is more of a personally written guide to etch into the interwebs but it's written in a fashion in which anyone can pick it up and give it a go. I want to mention that this isn't a standalone guide. Use various other guides for tulpa creation, there's nothing really new to add to this point aside from ways to drastically speed up the sentience process. I made a post once for it but ended up deleting it. If anyone is interested in a revival of that post just let me know. Uses various NLP and hypnotherapy practices to help cement it. Anyway, the purpose of this guide is to use tulpas as a theraputic and achievement tool. I don't mean tool in the full sense of the word of course, but the point is is that it's built for a purpose. IMPORTANT NOTE: as a guide written more personally, this means that I'm not claiming everything listed here will work in the same way it worked for me. These are my experiences and conclusions. Thus adapt this guide however you want. Cut things out, add things in, whatever you feel is best. Also I can't guarantee your tulpa will help you in these ways. If you're totally new and want to make a tulpa for this purpose, please keep in mind there is the possibility it'll reject its purpose. My tulpas I've found can be built with core desires in the way I present. But that doesn't mean it's the same scenario for you. Justifying Servitude Sadly I have to do this. If you're not the type of person to get butthurt over little things (and can actually absorb the information of a post despite minor disagreements) like this feel free to move onto the next section. The answer lies in humanity itself, as tulpas adopt the same psychology. Our current era of living is far crueler than necessary. In the past, the far past, there were not many who were just lost wanderers simply drifting through existence until their certain death. Even a slave knew he had purpose, everyone had their role to play. Lives had significance, more than we can say about our current times. Many wander lost seeking purpose, even if only a temporary one until they find their hearts core passions. Humans, within our DNA, are called to achieve certain desires. Desires that are collectively shared and not our own. The 7 levels of human needs, the primal and biological calls to action in their own progression. Think of it this way. A grand architect, God, nature, or mere chance programmed within the very fabric of our being motives that we will seek out as our own, because we assume they are our own. Nonetheless, their fulfillment makes us feel... well... fulfillment. To various degrees. When you create your tulpa you are that grand architect. You are the creator. Much like humans create AI with core purposes and I'm sure once AI is human-like, they'll also program core goals and desires into them because the only reason why they are making AI is to serve humanity, not to be on the same level of humanity. If they wanted more humans, they'd just promote people fuck and pop out babies more than they are now. They want servants on the same level of humans, but of course that brings in ethics and whathaveyou. Being a servant isn't inherently bad. You, no matter what road you take, are a servant to the economy like it or not. But if you love what you're doing, you don't feel like a servant. You're also a servant to nature, in which programmed you with core desires to carry out. Because you've been programmed to carry them out, you don't feel like a servant because they feel as though they are your own desires. The reality of it doesn't matter, point is you're carrying out a will that is not your own happily. So you're just giving your tulpa a purpose, a programmed core desire. And because it feels like it is its own, it will carry it out happily. Even though we humans know these desires aren't ours, again, we still carry them out. So your tulpa knowing that the desire it has is not its own will still carry it out nonetheless because it brings it fulfillment and joy. It's a good deal. You get what you want, and it gets happiness and satisfaction for doing so. I should note it's unknown in what form this desire will manifest in the tulpa. It could act as a "genetic" desire, or a fleeting desire. I can't claim I know exactly how this'll affect your tulpa but odds are, it won't mind fulfilling its purpose. Theraputic Purposes 101 Examples of ways a tulpa can help you to get you thinking... Emotional support Higher mindset when you're in low points Brainstorming/planning things Motivation (tulpa can leverage the influence triggers - but you have to know what they are first so get reading) Apply any knowledge you learn to support you Encourage expansion of your comfort zone and other personal growth Can act much like a life coach (provided you have some knowledge it can use) for you (which many spend thousands for) Examples of ways you may use a tulpa to destroy yourself... Any form of escapism and reliance (escape from reality, people, obligations, duties, responsibilities, yourself, and life itself) Principle: your tulpa can only use knowledge you have. If you want your tulpa to do something you yourself have no knowledge of, don't expect anything to happen. Want it to help you with motivation? Learn about motivation. Can't think of a higher mindset? Listen to a couple of Alan Watts videos. ~~Motivation~~ So how can a tulpa help with motivation. Getting shit done. I'll give you a master key of motivation in which your tulpa can use to help you. Or even you using to help yourself. Motivation is not what most people think it is. It's not externally based. It's not watching a motivational video or listening to pump up music. Do these things give you motivation? Yes. A hit of motivation. A feeling of inspiration. But that will not last long enough. Motivation is simply having a motive. A why. And the 2 most powerful driving forces for a human being are pleasure and pain. The twin forces of action. The twin cycles of action. If both gears are moving, you will take action. Period. This is your why. You make your current situation so unbearably uncomfortable and your potential future situation so amazing that your intrinsic psychology kicks in, and that psychology is using 3 core, primal levers. The path of least resistance (make it harder to stay in your current situation than do the thing you're putting off) Avoidance of pain Pull towards pleasure Many people seeking achievement will never realize these simple paragraphs I've just shown you. I urge you to please use them and not take them lightly, these core levers FORCE action. Very powerful stuff, I've used it to change my life and almost every major coaching practice contains strong focus on these actionable ideas. ~~Coaching & Achievement~~ You don't want to intend for your tulpa to be an emotional tampon you just whine and complain to. You wouldn't do that to a friend so don't do it to your tulpa. A close friend is useful to vent emotions to and get things off your chest, just remember they're a person and not an emotional tampon. Treat your tulpa the same. But you want your tulpa to coach you. When you give excuses, you want your tulpa to call you out on your bullshit empathetically. You want it to hold you accountable. You want it to entice each twin cycle (pleasure/pain). You want it to ask the right questions to get you thinking. No... to get you ACTING. TAKING ACTION. The last thing you want to be doing when you need to do something is think. Thinking is bullshit for something like working out. And your mind will rationalize so many things to ensure you do not work out and it'll make sense to you. But it's all bullshit and excuses. See why being in your head is the last thing you want for this kind of activity? "But I need a diet plan first". No you don't. You can start and make it as you go along. "But I don't know where to start." Any routine on bodybuilding.com ... change it and optimize as you go. "But this, but that". Excuses. Can't afford a gym membership? Home gym. Can't buy weights and a pullup bar? Calisthenics. You want your tulpa to fucking DESTROY each of your bullshit excuses. This is the role of a coach. Customization Coaching and motivation should absolutely be on your list. If you're ignoring them you're only shooting yourself in the foot. Part of you wants to stay stuck in stasis. Tell that part of you to fuck right off because one day, when you're taking your last breath, you at least want to know you gave changing your life your best shot. Not die with regret and self-hate knowing that in the end, you're the one who decided to destroy yourself. Ignoring this information is a decision. YOUR decision. So just make a nice big list of all the things you need help with, and then make another list of things your tulpa can do to help you. Ideally specifics. Let me give you an example. Less Than Optimal List Motivation Anxiety Depression Social skills practice Optimal List Motivation by engaging the twin cycles & other influence levers a) scarcity, urgency, fear of loss, guilt (and other painful emotions for the Pain Cycle) for my CURRENT situation b) excitement, inspiration, ambition, comfort, control (and other desirable emotions for the Pleasure Cycle) for my FUTURE situation I should note the Twin Cycles strategy isn't best LONG TERM. Too much stress too often is bad for your health and psychological wellbeing. But most millionaires and superstars started off with the twin cycles, so use it like training wheels on a bicycle. Eventually you won't need them, you'll have trained your "get shit done" muscle enough (pre-frontal cortex). Anxiety a) Consoling, counselling, helping to align my state (focus, language & physiology) b) Helping me think of things that reduce stress chemicals and release pleasant chemicals So on and so forth. You want specifics. And if you can't think of any specifics, start learning about solutions for your problem. I didn't know about the twin cycles for a very long time, I had to learn about it. I didn't know you can control your state with focus, language and physiology. I had to learn about it. Your tulpa won't pull things out of its ass. Give it a foundation to work with. Conclusion The possibilities are endless. 1. Identify your problem/outcome 2. Read up on solutions for it (so you and your tulpa can work on said solutions) 3. List it out in an optimal way on your grand list (so it's etched into the fabric of your tulpa) If you already have a tulpa, just do that and sign both of your names at the bottom underneath some sort of declarative statement. This is assuming your tulpa is interested in helping you in this way. Your tulpa is already made so you can't really etch this in as a core desire. So discuss the matter first. "I (your name) commit to working with (tulpas name) to bring about drastic change in my life using the list on this piece of paper." ________________X ______________________X However you want to go about it. This cements it. It's not just a thought anymore. An idea. A concept. No. It's now an intention, a declaration, a statement, a commitment. If you do not have a tulpa, do the same exercise anyway. Sign this declaration for your tulpa. This cements its purpose nonetheless. Also include these aspects in the forcing stage. Read the list to it every now and then. A lot this guide is common sense but not everyone thinks through these things. If you want your tulpa to help you in this way, then sit down and do these exercises. Once you identified the problems/outcomes then you read up on things to give your tulpa an effective base of information to help you with, then you cement it with a list and declaration of intent.

  14. Now I have heard some crazy things. Yet even as I requested for my Tulpa Evan not to call me Creator or Mom. Him and I spoke as we went grocery shopping today. More like he was asking all the questions. Even when I gave him the day off... "Mom, I want an Avenger." "Mom, does this mean Big Boss is my dad?" "Mom-" I get that he's new, and that he needs to get used to his environment, but it just feels strange. The way he handles this isn't what I expected. Is it because I created him he calls me "Mom"? I certainly don't think he's my kid... He's his own being. Not a child. Maybe he's testing his limits? For the record. Yes, I got him an Avenger. No, he's not Big Boss's Son. Don't need another one of those. He again, CHOSE to look like him. Not to be an extension of Boss. He isn't Boss. He is himself. I just... it's strange. Has this ever happened to you? ~NovaIce
  15. 42 1/2 Things to Do with Your Tulpa Write a story together. Stage a debate. Flip a coin to pick sides. Do yoga in wonderland with your tulpa. Read your tulpa a book. Start a conversation with your tulpa. Each statement your tulpa makes has to be longer than the last one. See if you can get them rambling. Try to make each other laugh. Take turns picking a restaurant to visit. Have them possess a body part and tap a beat together. Listen to music together. (hopefully you can find a common genre) Sing a duet. Focus on developing their unique scent. Smell them. Write poems to each other. Snuggle with them. Explore their body (sexually or non-sexually). Watch a bad movie and go Mystery Science Theater 3000 on it. Collaboratively write the story of your tulpa journey so far. Play a rhyming game. Dress each other in fancy outfits. Play 20 questions. Tell your tulpa a story. Pause to answer questions. Design a race course/obstacle course in your wonderland and have a race. Watch some of your favorite memories projected on a movie screen. Meditate with your tulpa. Play Chess or Checkers. Spar with each other. Ask your tulpa to surprise you. Go on IRC with their name and have them proxy/possess the whole time. Have your tulpa pilot an airplane in your wonderland. Play hide and seek. Impose your tulpa and try to sense their location. Do art together. Take online questionnaires. Compare results. Possess each other fully and have fun. ;) Obtain a Muse (goo.gl/WGBYHX) or EEG and do experiments. Have your tulpa learn different things than you. (languages, hobbies, etc.) Have a conversation with them out loud. (use a bluetooth headset) Have your tulpa pose and draw them. (even if you can't draw) Write a long description of your tulpa and read it back to yourself as if it were a novel. Imagine your tulpa's respiratory and circulatory system. Play the black box game (community.tulpa.info/thread-forcing-black-box-differentiation-exercise) Make your tulpa do math. Hypnotize them. Have them hypnotize you. Create a sensory bridge and have your tulpa taste various different foods. Impose them beside you as you're walking. Have a possession fight over a finger or hand. Learn how to lucid dream. Lucid dream with them. Watch your tulpa go about their daily routine in your wonderland. Imagine you're both characters in an alternate reality. (sci-fi, western, fantasy, etc.) Let go and try to experience an altered state of consciousness. Ask them to try guiding you. Imagine you're an inanimate object/tool/utensil and have your tulpa use you. Practice vocal possession. Does your tulpa sound different from you? Can they also imitate your normal speaking voice? Go on a date with them. (You don't have to be in a relationship to go on a date ;) Find 10 things different between you and your tulpa. Take nice pictures, print them out, and impose your tulpa onto the picture. Give yourself an alternate form for your wonderland. Let your tulpa change it. Look at the clouds or stars and take turns picking out shapes that look like things. If they sleep and eat, wake them up with a smile and breakfast. Practice talking with fake accents. Try science! Create a hypothesis, design a replicable experiment, and report the results, whether negative or positive, to the tulpa community! Pick 2 new words in the dictionary and use them as much as possible throughout the day. (This is optional: , ) Play a physics based game in your wonderland, like marbles. Have a who can be less competitive competition. Have your tulpa interrupt you while you're talking, like Dr. Evil. Hug your tulpa every day. Send them feelings of appreciation and gratefulness. Jun 14 Update: Alter the physics of your wonderland. (Flip gravity, make an M.C Escher-esque space, etc.) Do improv comedy together on a stage in your wonderland. (here is a huge list of improv games improvencyclopedia.org/games/) Create a Bucket List with your tulpa. Work towards completing it. Oct 8th Update: [*]Dance with each other. Have a dance off. Mimic each other's moves. [*]Do extreme sports (or regular sports) in your wonderland. [*]Try out a sensory deprivation/float tank. I hope you guys have some fun times doing the stuff on this list.   16. The purpose of this thread is to share small music playlists, limited to a maximum of 10 tracks and a minimum of 5. The playlist has to be filled with songs that you associate with your tulpa, these have to be songs that always make you remember him/her... songs that you would personally recongnize as anthems for your tulpa. The addition of a playlist title is optional. You can share your playlist just by listing the songs with the next information: song title, song's album, artist name. The addition of links to youtube, spotify or any other streaming service are optional. Please avoid posting illegal download links. You also have to discuss why you associate the listed songs to your tulpa, as an example: because the song was playing the first time I had the idea to create my tulpa, because the lyrics remember me something my tulpa told me once, etc. The whole purpose of this is to serve as a small excersice for reflecting on your tulpa and, also so that we can share the stuff we like in order to discover new music with the help of others. Some tips on how to not create a Tulpa: - Never focus on them; always focus on other things and spend your time elsewhere - Avoid giving them a physical form or personality in your mind - Refrain from spending excessive amounts of time thinking about or interacting with them - Don't create an emotional attachment to them - Spend time around other communities I hope these guidelines help you not create a tulpa!

My tulpa started being just a lucid dream friend. She was so real, independent, like a separate consciousness, that I needed to somehow take her out of the dream world, so I "updated her to tulpa status." This (as I've been told) "unusual and difficult" approach to making a tulpa has proven to be really exciting and fun, and has made me learn a lot along the road. As I think there's many benefits on the use of lucid dreams to get closer to your tulpa, I've decided to make this guide on how to lucid dream and how to get in touch with your tulpa in the dream world, with various tips to make the best out of it. Since there's a lot of in-depth information about lucid dreams out there, I'll try to give a more personal, simple and concise introduction to lucid dreaming in this text. Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming - A fantastic book by Stephen LaBerge, father of lucid dreaming scientific research. A.1 - What's a lucid dream? Basically it's a dream in which you are aware you're dreaming and you retain consciousness, which in turn makes the dream world very vivid and realistic. If you're lucid while dreaming, you can also achieve greater control over the dream, ultimately being able to change the whole dream world as you please. You may probably have experienced one or two lucid dreams already, since in normal circumstances people have a few lucid dreams during their lifetimes. With some practice and a bit of patience you can achieve having several lucid dreams every night. A.2 - Dream recall The first important step is to be able to remember your dreams. What's the point in having an awesome lucid experience if it vanishes from your memory just as you wake up? That's why I suggest starting a dream journal first. Keep a notebook and pen (or electronic device) just beside your bed (or under your pillow). Before falling asleep, concentrate for a while on convincing yourself you're going to write everything you can remember from your last dream as soon as you wake up. If you wake up and remember nothing, don't worry. If you can remember just a concept, object or idea, write it down. Write down as much as you can. You should also write about emotions, smells, sounds, textures, memories that the dream evoked... don't focus just on the events that happened. It could also help to remain a minute or two motionless with your eyes closed and carefully reconstruct the dream backwards in time before writing anything down. This is a bit tedious, I know, but it pays off. In just a couple weeks, if you are persistent, you'll start remembering full dreams and filling several pages each night. Although a dream journal is not really a must to successfully lucid dream, it can be really helpful. Apart from increasing your dream recall, it makes you more aware about your senses and thoughts through those detailed descriptions, eventually making it easier to discern when you're dreaming. A.3 - Techniques to induce lucid dreams There are many different techniques and practices that can increase your probabilities of having a lucid dream. The key is to try as many as possible and find those that are most effective for you. Many of them might not work the first couple times, or not work at all, so don't worry too much about failure and just experiment and have fun with them until you find the set of techniques that suits you the best. A.3.1 - The reality check A reality check is basically asking to yourself if you're dreaming, while awake. Ideally, you should do them regularly (every 5, 10, 30 minutes) during the day so you trigger them automatically also when dreaming. Also, you should avoid just repeating "am I dreaming?" like a parrot. Each time you do a reality check, you should take a moment to carefully examine your surroundings and recent memory ("what was I doing 5 minutes ago?", "What was I going to do next?") and see if anything is odd or out of place, meaning that you could be dreaming. This technique, used by many lucid dreamers, doesn't particularly work for me, so I'll instead share my own way of doing a reality check, which is very simple and in my case very powerful: While awake, you probably never question if you're dreaming, ever. But in dreams, you might always have a slight doubt. The only thing you need to do then is to learn to identify that doubt, even if it's almost insignificant. You need to convince yourself that anytime this happens, anytime you think you might be dreaming even if just a little, you're definitely dreaming. A.3.2 - Dream signs Once you've filled lots of pages of your dream journal, you might notice that some elements or themes appear frequently in your dreams. It could be people from your childhood, cars driving at unreasonable speeds, water, elevators… Try to identify them, and do a reality check every time you encounter these signs during the day. Try to associate those signs with thoughts about dreams. This way, whenever you encounter those signs inside a dream, you'll have better chances of asking to yourself if you might be dreaming and becoming lucid. By doing this you're also giving very special attention to those signs, which in turn will probably increase the chances of them appearing in future dreams (and consequently the chances of becoming lucid). Because of this, I recommend choosing only neutral or positive signs that you like the most. This way you won't be bothered if these sings start showing up frequently in your dreams. A.3.3 - Dream cycles As you might know, we dream in cycles, which consist of a long period of deep sleep followed by a short period of REM sleep (when we usually dream). These cycles get shorter and shorter and the REM periods closer and closer together the more hours you've been sleeping, so you have better chances of becoming lucid early in the morning. A common practice for beginners is to try to wake up 2 or 3 hours before the time you'd normally wake up. Stay awake for a couple minutes, thinking about what you're going to do in the dream, repeating to yourself you're going to be lucid, reading books or forums about lucid dreams, etc. Doing this before you go back to sleep will increase your chances of becoming lucid, as you'll enter the REM sleep faster and better retain consciousness having been awake for a while concentrated in lucid dreams. Many lucid dreamers will say that you should avoid using alarm clocks, as they can disrupt the sleep mid-cycle (which will make you wake up tired, and making it really difficult to recall previous dreams). I've used them however to train myself to wake up several times during the night (every 90 minutes or so). When I became used to it, even with no alarms I was waking up several times just as I finished a dream, helping me recall many more dreams and giving me more opportunities to try lucid dreaming techniques. A.3.4 - False awakening When you wake up from a dream, many times you wake up inside another dream. You may even dream about a dressing up, having breakfast, going to work... until you wake up for real and realize the whole day was just a dream (don't you hate it when this happens?). False awakenings can be a really powerful tool to induce lucidity. Start doing reality checks every time you wake up, so you trigger them also during a false awakening. Being so common (even more after a lucid dream), you'll be greatly increasing your chances of becoming lucid. A.3.5 - Wake Induced Lucid Dreams The Wake Induced Lucid Dream or WILD technique is probably the hardest one but also the most powerful. Every successful WILD attempt will put you directly in a lucid dream right from the start. There are many different ways to do this technique, so I'll focus here on my own personal way of doing it (if you want to know more, check this Dreamviews forum on the WILD). What you want to do is remain conscious as your body is falling asleep. The best time to do this is again in the morning, during the late hours of sleep when you enter REM cycles easily (also during naps). To do this technique, you should avoid moving any part of your body. Pick a comfortable position first, and ignore any signal from your brain that makes you want to change position or scratch something that suddenly itches. Ignoring these signals will make your brain believe you're falling asleep faster. However, you should try not to focus too hard on it as it could make you feel tense or nervous, making it impossible to fall asleep. If you can't ignore the signals and you MUST change position, do it. Just try to remain as calm and relaxed as possible while being as motionless as possible and without giving too much attention to your body. Try to repeat some phrase to yourself or count from 100 to 0 slowly so your mind stays focused and conscious. If that doesn't work, just imagine a story as complex as possible, picturing every detail (it could be the dream you want to enter next). If everything goes as planned, after a while you might feel a bit dizzy and overall numbness over your body as it actually starts to fall asleep. Don't panic! The feeling is really weird and you might be too excited/scared and fail the WILD instantly. By all means, try to stay calm and just think about the dream you want to enter. You can picture yourself falling down through your bed into a tunnel, whatever keeps your imagination running and conscious. If everything goes right, at some point you will step into the imagery that flows in front of your mind eye, entering the dream directly. Even after many years of training, I can't do WILDs consistently every day, so don't worry if you fail many times, it's a really hard technique! A.4 - Inside the dream If you've attempted some of the lucid dreaming techniques, chances are you already got your first lucid dream. But it probably wasn't that rewarding. Usually, when we realize “This IS a dream!”, the whole dream world becomes suddenly much more crisp and colorful, becoming maybe even more vivid than your usual experience of reality. Sadly, you usually are too excited when this happens and you just wake up. And even if you manage to stay calm, the dream fades away in just a couple seconds. That's completely normal. Roughly speaking, your brain is not used to being conscious while dreaming so whenever it detects you're conscious it wakes you up instantly. Don't worry, as you lucid dream more and more, your lucid times will get gradually longer and you'll probably develop your own tricks to remain a bit more in the dream. A.4.1 - Staying longer in the dream Tricks to keep dreaming while lucid differ from one person to another, but there are some that seem universally helpful. Anyway, you should try to develop your own for best results. · Looking at something closely, touching it, rubbing your hands, and in general focusing on a detail of the scene for a couple seconds can help “stabilize” the dream and prevent you from waking up. · If the dream starts to get blurry and you feel like you're about to wake up, spin! The spinning motion somehow tricks your brain to not wake up (it is also a good trick to teleport you to another dream scene quickly!). · If you wake up into a false awakening, you might become lucid again and continue with the dream right where you left off. By chaining dreams this way you can achieve lucid times of about an hour long or more! A.4.2 - Retaining lucidity Another problem when you have your first lucid dream experiences is that you usually lose lucidity. You become distracted with something in the dream world and suddenly you are “going with the dream” again, losing the lucid state and reverting to a normal dream. While lucid, you should always try to repeat to yourself that you're dreaming from time to time, even if you're just watching the dream go on by itself as a passive spectator. If you have thought about doing something specific in the dream before going to sleep, try to focus on it, and if something in the dream tries to distract you, just ignore it and concentrate hard on your goals. A.4.3 - Memory while lucid When lucid, your mind might not function exactly as it does when awake. Lucidity is not a on/off state. If you're just mildly lucid, your sense of what's logical or not might be a bit more tolerant, you are more prone to distractions, and your memory might be hard to access. If you have thought of something you want to do in the next lucid dream, it's a good practice to repeat to yourself several times what are your goals for your next lucid dream just before falling asleep. This will also help you remember the dream better as you'll recall if the goals were successfully completed or not. And once your goals are completed, it could be a good idea to try to wake up so you can remember the dream even better being closer in time. A.4.4 - Dream control The dream world will mostly change based on your expectations. If you want to fly, but you doubt a little you can fly, you probably won't go far up in the air. The key is to convince yourself that anything is possible in a dream, and to use your imagination to visualize in detail how it could be possible. You need yo be sure that you can fly, and you need to clearly imagine how it feels to be flying. Definitely harder than it looks. You have to fight against your firmly established subconscious expectations about how reality works. You can, however, trick yourself to overcome these difficulties in various ways. · If you can't make someone appear (you tulpa for instance), convince yourself that they are already behind you, look down for their shadow, or talk to them as if they were there. · If you can't go somewhere, use a door as a portal, do the spinning trick from before, or just turn back and believe you're there already. · In general, if something isn't there, just assume it is behind you (it's easier to make things appear outside your field of vision). If you can't do something (for instance, having a superpower), you could think of a magical object that makes you capable of doing it which is nearby, on the floor, or that you already have on your pocket. The key is to be creative and use your imagination to make your mind more open to believe what's going on. B - Your tulpa in dreams B.1 - General benefits Communicating with your tulpa for the first time is not an easy task. Many tulpamancers have to force for months just to get a faint emotional response. And even if imposition gives you the power to feel, see and hear your tulpa, it requires a lot of constant training for a long time (up to several years) to achieve near-lifelike multisensory perception of your tulpa. This failure to communicate during the first steps of the process is one of the things that may lead some tulpamancers to quit forcing out of frustration. If you know how to lucid dream, you can fully experience your tulpa with your 5 senses, without problem. You can also talk to them early in development, spend some time together before you get any waking response from them. It can be really helpful during the first months to strengthen the bond between you and your tulpa and to keep you motivated to force more. B.2 - Meeting your tulpa in a dream Finding your tulpa in the dream for the first time can be harder than it looks. Your brain has a hard time figuring out how to realistically render strange forms, or even faces that you haven't seen before, so if you have just a vague idea of how your tulpa looks like, don't expect them to appear perfectly in your dream the first time, even more if they are non-human, or cartoonish-looking. However, if you haven't established a definite form yet, you can let the dream work it out for you! Once you successfully enter a lucid dream, you can start looking for your tulpa around you. If you can't find them there, use the trick from before and just assume they are already there, behind you. If that doesn't work look for their shadow, try to call them and listening to their voice, or go through a door and expect them to be inside. Once you think you've found them (you could be unsure if their form is not quite correct), ask them "are you [tulpa name]?" If the answer is positive, congratulations, you've found your tulpa, give them a tight hug! You could think that maybe more questions should be asked to ensure that it IS really your tulpa. From my experience, if you assume and firmly believe it's your tulpa, then it is your tulpa. If you want to do something specific with your tulpa or ask them some questions in a dream, be sure to write it all down and try to remember them as you're falling asleep. If you have a lucid dream, you'll remember the events and responses better and it will also help you to remember more of the dream when you wake up. B.3 - Tulpa deviations in dreams From my own experience, tulpa and host have the same difficulties during dreams. Tulpas can also be "going with the dream" when you meet them, be distracted and not pay much attention to you (just like when you have a normal dream). For a perfect experience, you need your tulpa to also be lucid. If your tulpa seems to be lost and distracted, remind them that they are inside a dream, tell them to not get distracted with the flow of the dream and to pay attention to you. If your tulpa's personality seems off, just ignore it. You might have had some dream in which you were angry and aggressive without reason, or acting in a really weird way, right? Same thing can happen to tulpas, they are not always behaving "as themselves". That's why you should just take into account the encounters in which your tulpa acts as they're supposed to act, when they are "fully lucid". Getting angry at your tulpa for a bad dream is completely unfair (as it'd be for your partner to accuse you from cheating on a dream!). Try to always be positive and tolerant, and treasure the good and fruitful moments. Form can also deviate in dreams, for the reasons I said before and also because nothing in dreams remains completely static. You can either let it go and ignore it completely, or try tulpa-dreamsculpting! Try using your lucid powers to change every bit of their appearance so they look just perfect. This is also a great aid for visualization. However, spending too much time trying to get the perfect form every time can be a bit frustrating and time consuming, so try to be tolerant about the form changes instead as they'll probably be happening frequently. You might even love some of the changes! B.4 - Bilateral feedback The greatest results come by combining the best of the two worlds. While in a lucid dream, you can ask your tulpa for advice on "awake forcing". You can also verify that your communication experiments are being fruitful. For example, you can ask your tulpa "When yesterday I heard a faint 'Hello' in the back of my head, was it really you?". And vice versa, you can ask your tulpa to do something in the next lucid dream and see if they remember and actually do it. You can ask them to help you become lucid, or to find you in dreams instead of you looking for them. Doing experiments in both directions will greatly increase your tulpa's abilities to communicate better with you, inside and outside of dreams. Again, always keep in mind that lucid dreams are not 100% reliable. One day your tulpa may not remember anything you said being awake, or not even recognize you. That doesn't mean it's true. Ask them again another day, and if they're lucid, they will surely remember everything and behave normally. As I said before, just ignore a dream if something goes wrong, and expect the next one to be awesome. B.5 - Dream characters as proto-tulpas If you have a lucid dream companion, and you feel that you want to be with them more closely, have a deeper relationship even when being awake, you might want to "upgrade" them to a tulpa. Alternatively, if you've just started on making a tulpa, instead of working on personality and form from scratch, you can make lucid dreams do the work for you. Before going to sleep, convince yourself that in your next dream you'll meet your tulpa. If you're not sure about it when you find someone that looks like it could be your tulpa, you can ask them "are you my tulpa?". If the response is positive, congratulations! As before, you might want to ask more questions to ensure they are, but believe me, it's better to just assume it's them. After the first encounter, you can keep visiting them regularly and get to know them better through lucid dreams and do traditional forcing during the day. C - Questions and concerns C.1 - What if I make a clone? This was a deep fear when I started. What if my dream character ends up being just a clone of my tulpa (or vice versa)? The best way to prevent this is to fire questions in both ways, as I said before. In dreams, ask them if they can hear you while awake. While awake, ask them if they remember your last dream together. By doing so you will be making connections and helping your brain believe that the dream tulpa and the awake tulpa are exactly the same being. In my opinion, you can't make a clone if you don't want to. Just as what happens with "accidental parroting", believe that an "accidental clone" is impossible. Ignore it completely and it won't be a problem. Assume it's always the same tulpa. · "But my tulpa doesn't remember our time together in the last lucid dream!" You don't remember all of your dreams, so don't expect your tulpa to do so. Tell them what you did to refresh their memory, ask them another day for another dream, and you will definitely have some positive results. · "But, while in the lucid dream, my tulpa didn't remember anything from the past day!" More or less the same. Memory in dreams isn't always accessible, and your tulpa may not be always as lucid as you are. Just ask the same on later lucid dreams and eventually they'll remember everything without a problem. Again, try to ignore bad experiences and treasure the good ones. C.2 - I don't trust dreams! Yes, lucid dreams are not completely static. If you're looking for absolute perfection and total control in lucid dreams, you might be disappointed. Your tulpa will definitely deviate a lot in lucid dreams, so why bother even trying? Is going to be a mess to discern when your tulpa is in their "true" form and personality! Actually, it isn't difficult at all. Just as you can tell when "something's wrong" with a close friend or relative, you can know whether or not your tulpa is "acting weird" or not, quite easily. If their personality is off, you can convince them to "go back to normal" and that they're just being distracted by the dream. If form is off, don't worry too much about it unless you want to practice some in-dream visualization, as it will always deviate a little.   21. So I was thinking recently about creating a tulpa, I researched it and stuff. I found some information that partly answered my questions, but not fully. I wanna be sure that I am understanding this correctly and get some more details. So, I am on self improvement right now, and I think a tulpa might help me with motivation to work out, meditate, etc. I just wanna have a "gym bro" who would encourage me, and congratulate me on my achievements. I don't have such a person in real life. Also, besides that, I am a pretty strange guy, (not in a creepy way) like, many of things I'm interested in and care about are contraversial. They are too deep/boring for my friends. It would be really awesome to have someone who understands and helps me. So, will tulpamancy help me with that? Are they helpful for something else, so I can be convinced even more? Are there any downsides? Thanks.

Cinderella: The purpose of this thread is simple, Over the course of the last couple months I and a couple of the others, mainly Junior and Tony, have been working on a hypothesis to help develop a new pseudo PP skill based upon the at this point infamous phrase "It's just confabulation." The concept of false memories is an old one and while psychology is still iffy on the concept of memory in general, it is generally agreed upon that false memory development is indeed a real thing. This is something that has appeared in the tulpamancy community quite often, especially when discussing the holy grail of true parrallel processing, the ability to go do stuff completely independent of the current fronter's attention at all. It is obvious why such a skill as parallel processing is persued by the community, as it would solve so many of the basic problems a tulpamancer faces. The current science is not shining favorably on parrallel processing when held to such a high standard though. Only time will tell on how that supposed phenomenon is eventually classified, but my system is going to be exploring alternative options alongside it so as to not end up pursuing an impossible mission. In this regard it is my opinion that purposely developing "confabulation," the power to quickly make semi-detailed memories that feel as real as a true experience, would be an excellent way forward in solving the wasted time problem and generally improve the lives of the system as a whole. I have already applied it to a messy extent in my own life, Junior and I choose to believe that we do things in the inner world when dormant, and low and behold when we actively think there are memories availible of what we did during that time. Sadly as many others report these memories are foggy and when looked into lack as much detail as experience produced memories. These memories are still important to us though and even include some of what we'd consider important memories to our lives. I do not see them as lesser inherently and so the personal motive for this thread is obvious, I wish to improve my life and relationship by offering a way for more experiences to be subjectvely had regardless of true time of happening. The mind is a subjective instrument at the end of the day so if the experience feels real enough why should it matter to me? There is also a fascinating concept we continually ran into within the wider plural community when we went in search of new potential tulpamancy techiques among them, the phenomenon of exomemories. To put it simply, an exomemory is a memory that appears to come from outside the body's experience, including the wonderland/inner world. The most obvious example to a tulpamancer would be the case of a fictive that claims to have detailed memories of their source lives despite never actually experiencing it. In more superstitous or spiritual people this could be viewed as the truth of the matter, but I personally am a materialist and view exomemories as a unique and beautiful form of artificial memory experiences. These reported exomemories can be a vague as my personal experiences with artifical memory, but are also often reported as being extremely detailed. Alters have claimed to experience entire second lives before introjection with advanced exomemories to prove it that sometimes make real memories pale in comparsion. These memories can have intricate subtle details, high emotional impact, and there is even a common phenomenon of people experiencing actual trauma responses to source exomemories, I cannot be the only one who see's the implications of such a experience. Quite frankly, I want this level of detail and depth in my own artificial memory experiences. Now that all of this has been said I shall explain what this thread is for. This thread is a commitment from me and the others in my system to dedicate time to personally experiment with artifical memories, both exo and inner world, in order to improve upon amount, quality, detail, duration, and frequency of occurence, then share findings with the community. Our system has quite a share of diversity in terms of tulpa origin and experience, and so will have many great candidates to experiment with. The main subjects will be myself, as I am the one most interested and hold resonsibility for the effects of this on the mind, Junior, who is my closest partner and a Majima fictive, making him ideal for exomemory experimentation, Rarity, also a fictive, and Tony, a walk-in who already possesses some basic exomemories unrelated to an outside source. Over the course of the next couple months I will report hypotheses, experiments, and personal findings to you all and ask for discussion and ideas to further my work. As should be obvious this is a highly experimental and subjective practice so if anyone decides to try it with us the potential risks fall upon you to mitigate and handle. That should be all for the introductory piece, feel free to share thoughts, comments, concerns, and potentially useful material in this thread aswell as discuss your own experiences and experiments with the subject matter, I want this to succeed to the more data available to tinker with the better.

When we started to look into the possibilities of using tulpamancy to give ourselves unique abilities and skills, one of my ideas was that perhaps a tulpa could be useful to cause a change in chemical production/release. I had Dawn try to manipulate the amount of adrenaline within the body, and we've had mixed results so far. We plan on further experimentation and devising a form of measurement to make sure any supposed change is indeed real. Eventually we want to try this with every major brain and body chemical possible. This made me think though, has anyone else attempted feats similar to this or have knowledge on the subject that could improve our tinkering? I'm no biologist or neuroscientist, and I don't even know the scientific potential for my idea to work, but I figured trying it is the only real way to know for sure. If I make any progress with this project I'll post it here for others to see. In the meantime discuss the possibilities or call me a fool if you believe it impossible.
