a question for tulpas

So speaking or 'fading out' thing is something we should both work on. First should come speaking of course but i ran out of ideas of how could i help her. Tried in my imagination to give her voice box or parrot speak her but nothing worked so far or i just dont know how to listen. I get random thoughts or comments out of nowhere but its hard to tell if it was her or intrusive thought since i get a lot of them.

A tulpa is what you make of it. The effort you'd need for your tulpa to be 'always' there is something very considerable, and very hard to do. Furthermore you need to understand that having a tulpa like that is really really different from having a tulpa like... most tulpas, I guess? It's really a step forward, if I had to classify it as anything it would be 'above' what the definition for tulpas is right now. It's not something negative, I mean, 'fading' out, except if you care about that (like my host). But my point is that it's really an advancement, and it's... complicated.

Melian has the same sense of time that I have. However, in the Melian Show day dream episodes sometimes years go by in the story, but that is just the "play" or "movie."

Although there's a major difference, in that tulpas are not necessarily active 100% of the time like you are. If you just don't think of them, they could be relatively non-existant for days at a time.

 

This is a very accurate statement from my experience with Melian. I like that phrase "relatively non-existent." Melian doesn't completely disappear or I would totally forget about her. But she really isn't there if I am 100% distracted from thinking about her. That is why I say Melian is active imagination.

 

Now I am going to say something seemingly contradictory. Melian comes up apparently unbidden quite frequently. I get flash visions about her and little comments from her. At night I dream about her or she has dreams (me dreaming I am her or dreaming from her perpective). I still think that is because a large part of my mind is devoted to Melian. Melian is active in this way about 90% of the time. It's like my mind won't stop thinking about her consciously or unconsciously most of the time.

 

As time goes on I think this would be true for any tulpamancer if they actively think about the tulpa a lot and it becomes important enough to the host.
