Let's Discuss Video Games

Whew, I did it, I have righted my wrong. Went back and no-missed our previous #1 pp song, which we've been trying to do for quite a while. That's honestly the most emotion anything (outside of our system) has gotten out of me, the moment I finished it and saw this.

 

I'll take this moment to make an unrelated, interesting observation. My heart isn't really beating fast at all. Even in the last pause before the end of the song, nerves weren't getting to me. If it had been Lucilyn doing this, we might have had a heart attack. I'm pretty pleased with our progress in switching, we've really managed to make the brain work entirely differently between us. Some day (or, night) we'll be lucid dreaming and not have to worry about any of that, but until then switching is relatively fulfilling for just being ourselves.

 

Also with that out of the way, having hit a thousand performance points and gotten a fairly respectable top ranking song, I think I can stop playing Osu now. We've been on a roll getting progressively better extremely quickly over the last month, so I felt obligated to keep up the practice, but I have better things to do. It starts to bother me if I waste too much time when I could be doing something else, to the point where even games aren't fun anymore. That point was right before yesterday's Numb fiasco.

I played the Gravity Rush 2 demo. It wasn't as smooth as I was hoping it to be, but I still had fun with it.

Clustertruck was released recently, and I'm loving it. The in-air movement is a little weird, but my only complaint so far is that I've been playing it for I think three days and I've almost finished all the official levels. 8/9ths of the way there. Hopefully replayability and community levels make up for it. Anyone else playing clustertruck?

You expected that type of game to last more than a few days? It immediately looks like a "Play for a few days" game to me.

I don't think you're supposed to be able to move very much mid-air. Would make it too easy.

Oh god, I picked it up on the first day and made it to 9/9 after a few hours. Done. Too retarded to beat it, and after about an hour and a half of going at it, my left hand started cramping up. Maybe some day.

 

I've never played a more intensely satisfying and infuriating game before.
