seriously thought about getting it several times and decided yesterday that it's just a little too boring and unfair, but if you like that type of game it seems really good + it's actually being updated

Dark Souls 3 is great. Not particularly hard unless you consider a death or two to particularly strong enemies or bosses hard. I'm level 50 and at no point have I been frustrated for more than a few moments. And otherwise, it's actually been a lot of fun. Lot of ways to play. Armor means nothing as long as you're wearing at least something in every slot to avoid a penalty (or if you've got some serious knight's armor on, or high status resists), so you're free to wear whatever looks good to you. Except nothing at all. Don't do that, not even the gloves or head slot. Wear the Pyromancer Crown from Cornyx if you don't want to hide your face, like me.

Anyways, it's on sale along with everything else on Steam for $15 instead of $60 for the next couple days, so I'm recommending it now. Worth $60 if you're one of those people that's willing to pay that much for a game, but $15 is some serious value for its playtime and quality.

Just got back into Pokken, and it's exactly as great as I remember it being. The last time I played it, it was literally a different game on a different console. Didn't even have to re-unlock my main, this time Mewtwo is included in the roster by default (as well as his shadow counterpart).

That game has way more characters than I thought it did. Like three times as many.

Our brother wanted it, but it's $60, and we've already bought five switch games so far. So unless he's able to buy it (and he's probably not), gonna have to pass.

I intend to play the video games, The Witness and Cuphead, perhaps sometime during the current summer. In the future, I would also like to fully complete games such as Braid and L.A. Noire. What embarrasses me to some extent is that I have purchased The Witness and Cuphead during a sale on the Steam Store in December last year. Perhaps I have just yet to appreciate the wonders of playing games.

well I played pokken tournament, I guess it's good as a fighting game but it got pretty dang old after 80 matches (which was only three sessions for us) against our brother, who split the cost with us. ain't got nothing to do, there's zero replayability IMO but I probably just don't like fighting games, also brother is doing singleplayer which will probably be equivalent to the 80 matches we played anyways

At the moment, I'm replaying through my favorite game of all time, Breath of Fire 3.  I almost beat it as a kid, but I had all of my saves on a Gameshark that our new boxer puppy chewed up and ruined beyond access.  I lost heart until I got it on my Vita, and I've got a road trip ahead of me that I plan to devote to tearing through the world as my blue-haired baby boy.

https://www.parsecgaming.com/ This program is amazing. Quick version:

Parsec is a program that allows someone to host something similar to TeamViewer, letting multiple other people connect to them and control whatever you allow them to (Controller input, keyboard, and mouse all individual toggles). Except it's made for playing local co-op only games with people online, and in my experience so far it's done that perfectly.

I played 7 hours of "local co-op" A Hat In Time yesterday and it worked flawlessly. Haven't tested it much with other games but I did try a Gamecube emulator, and a friend whose wifi was really busy had issues with latency/lag connecting or hosting, while two others could see and interact passably. Weirdly, the lagging friend still had perfect input lack-of-latency, so we could screenshare through Discord instead.. Don't do that though. Anyways, seems like it should work better for Gamecube/Wii emulation than attempting netplay. Easier to set up too, IMO, and if someone's lagging the entire game doesn't permanently desync.

Yep, this I can confirm. Parsec is pretty great at what it does. Why is screensharing through discord a bad idea?

Parsec already does screensharing and you can't turn that off, so screensharing through discord at the same time will just slow down the internet of whoever was lagging even more and help nothing. Turns out the friend who was lagging really bad had a bunch of people using their wifi at the time and didn't know.
