Wow, I didn't realize we had so many bilingual people in the community. Here I am, only speaking one lame language...

My tulpa speaks everything I do to the same degree, and we mix up the languages randomly in daily life. I didn't even think anything else was possible. But it makes sense with what others have said about expectations fulfilling themselves. I pretty much always go by the idea "Since we're using the same brain, of course they can access the same stuff", so that's what happened.

There was someone on the forum not too long ago whose primary language wasn't english, but they exclusively narrated/communicated to their tulpa in english, and that tulpa only spoke in english. I think they could understand his primary language but had trouble forming thoughts in it or something like that. So it's not entirely a 100% two-way street, although to some extent it is.

There are also some tulpas (usually not in this community) who take it upon themselves to learn another language for whatever reason separate from their host. While most hosts would be able to at least access that information, in some systems where the minds' thoughts and memories are kept rather strictly separate, it could be said the tulpa was bilingual while the host was not.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

I would love for Hikari to learn stuff for herself and maybe teach me later. That would feel much more fun than trying to learn stuff by myself, and that includes more than just languages. I've read about tulpae learning how to play instruments or other various things. That would open up many possibilities.

Why not learn together?

Well, I'm in university so, sure, I spent my whole days learning stuff. It's basically my job, but that doesn't mean Hikari has to be interested in the same stuff.

[Hail] It all depends on the level of memory, knowledge, and skill sharing. If there is major sharing, any language that a host or tulpa learns, the other will know. If there is minimal sharing, then one can learn a language and the other may only know a little bit, none, some, etc. Now, with a given knowledge shared, there may be different aptitudes. I am a native English speaker and learned some French before making any tulpas. They all knew French to about the same level, though Tri does have a bit more of a knack for languages than I do. So when we went to a French tulpamancy forum, Tri could re-learn French and pick up new French noticeably faster than I could. The knowledge they relearned and learned leaked over to me, but they could still learn faster than I could.

Varia: Sav, my host, is bilingual in German (native) and English, and tends to use both languages when speaking with me. So I kind of adopted that, especially since on the internet speaking English would be far more useful than German to find other Tulpae and Tulpamancers. We actually randomly switch which of the two languages we are speaking at the moment - sometimes even mid-sentence.

Spanish and English are both main languages for me, however I like English the most so it's the one I normally use in my mind. But since I live in a Spanish speaking country Runa is exposed to both languages regularly. So far she has only spoken in English, so I won't know until she can actually get fully vocal but I do believe she understands them both. I also know some basic German and Japanese and I'm currently trying to learn Swedish too. So far I haven't had any problems learning them simultaneously but as I write I begin to worry, I hope this doesn't affect her negatively :O.
