What is your preffered technique? What sort of things do they bring to you experience? Do you feel it has brought you the result you want? How would you describe how the thoughts from your tulpa flow? Do they feel like you? Or do they feel foreign?

Ideally, me having lucid dreams, and recalling experiences with them in some way would be the preferred technique(s). But, image streaming has served me well consistently simply because I have to take a conscious action to not try to seriously comprehend what’s going on in my head; I had to learn to accept raw information as it came visually, and through other senses; psychosomatic, or whatever.

I feel it helps bring the result I want; to realize that said experiences isn’t contingent on my conscious fixation on these experiences being done. It’s really understanding, and coming to terms that my mind always has a canvas for me, and them to level things out, and to test how we can put things into context. Even if it’s some virtual, experiential reality, it’s something I believe can allow me to see how they would react to certain events.

How do you feel your beliefs about things affected what you did or did not do during your companion's development? While the user's view of sentience does play a part' date=' the subject is more about actions of the host, and what exercises the host did based on their idea of how things worked.[/quote']

I think belief affected everything in what I did, especially with image streaming. If I didn’t believe that my mind can render out all sorts of scenarios for them to react to via image streaming, I’d probably have to rely mostly on recalling my dreams. And the latter is definitely something that comes and goes with awareness. Especially when it’s a nightly endeavor where I have to fight with my tendencies to continue sleeping like anyone would vs. taking efforts to get up for a few minutes to jot some notes over the dreams.

If I didn’t want to image stream, I would have to render out some other way to put my beliefs of treating them as sentient into context. It, the activity, just allows me and them to go in and out of seeing how we can put things into context, and we try to spam it until it becomes an industrialized process. Simply because I know that there’s barely any drawbacks in doing it for hours on end, and that it’s something I can get into at any time. The assurance makes wanting to do it easier because the confusion in the initial stages of trying to comprehend the practice has been eliminated.

Ah man, missed your posts. Good to see you again.

My "practices" are just the way we are. My tulpas and I just exist. Occasionally some developmental discussion comes up, just as easily as any other conversation, and we talk about how things are on a certain subject and if we want to change them and what to, and then we passively start making those changes. I've never done "active forcing" for very long, maybe a handful of times since they were created. It's just natural for me, and by extension them, to analyze our own state of being and make adjustments to it. Things always get better just by doing what we do.

Not a very useful "practice" for others, though, hence why I never talk about it. It's just part of who I am, not something you actively try at.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
