I'm a bit new to all this stuff...

I'm trying to dicide if I want a tulpa or not, but I'm not for sure.

I was thinking of making one, but the thing is, I want a tulpa of a real person. Bad Idea? I've never met the person (they're from a band) but I could put some personality I want into them I guess. Opinions? What should I do?

I think the general consensus is that it's a Bad Idea for a lot of the same reasons basing a tulpa on an existing fictional character used to be frowned on. Honestly, though, as long as you get that your tulpa isn't going to be the person you're basing them on, and you don't try to force them into acting a certain way, you'll be fine. Just don't be upset if your tulpa decides to change their form at some point.

I want to be ignored

Don't want a speaking part

I don't want any one to notice

The blood spilling out of my exploding heart

Also if you have no real connection to the person it isn't as bad, either. What is a celebrity but a very realistic looking fictional character? Assuming you aren't rich or famous.

Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others.

All I want is a simple, peaceful life. With my family.

Sadly, no I'm not rich or famous. Haha. But the person I want to base it off of is from a band. Apparently a really sweet guy.

I think I may already have a start of a tulpa of him. Sometimes I imagine him sitting in my kitchen, and I just kinda imagine he's there. Sometimes I accentetly find myself talking to him. Just a few words or sentences. He never speaks back.

Is this a sign?

Is it a sign that he never speaks back? No, it takes a while for a tulpa to be able to respond. You just treat them like a person until that point I guess, talking to them and seeing if you can get responses. You should read some guides and stuff if you haven't already. Just remember stuff that goes on in your mind is completely under your control, conscious or not, so regardless of what anyone says or what you think at the time, you can change anything. And also you can make things not the case if you want. Nothing bad has to happen at all because it's under your control.

Eventually your tulpa will have their own say in things, but early on it's not good to try and let them decide things because they honestly probably can't yet, you'll just get randomness responses your mind comes up with. They can change anything they want once they're more developed, so don't worry about that sort of thing.

Hi. I'm one of Luminesce's tulpas. Unlike the others, I don't think I stand out too much from him personality wise.

I'm just special because "I'm a tulpa". So I don't think I've much to offer, here. I'm happy enough to just be with him.

Is it ok if I don't clearly see him? Will he look more prominent as I work with him more? ...and should I be afraid of him?

You mean projected into real life? Because that's imposition and it's an advanced/totally unnecessary skill. If you meant just seeing him in your mind's eye (visualization), again it's not necessary per se but it helps a lot. And both get better with consistent practice, mental imagery will get clearer as you attempt to see it over time.

No reason to be afraid of him. Tulpas don't do anything you don't expect them to really, not until they're relatively autonomous. And since you literally shape everything they are up to that point yourself, through your beliefs and expectations, you've got the most control. The only times tulpas do bad things are when the host expected them to do bad things. Almost all of them are either good or neutral by default. That's what I was talking about with the choosing your beliefs thing, everything in your mind comes from your beliefs, so what you believe will be true to you. You can change what you believe whenever you want, too.

I'd recommend reading a bit more on this as a lot of these questions can be answered in some of the general guides. Making a tulpa of a person/character is fine as long as you're not expecting them to have an identical personality or form, seeing as it's not uncommon for those things to deviate. You talking to the tulpa is a sign that, well, you're working on the tulpa, but it doesn't really indicate progress if that's what you meant. It's fine if you don't see them clearly, and visualization practice should fix that over time. I don't see why you'd be afraid of your tulpa.

Thank you for so much help. I really appreciate it! You've given me answers that's been bugging me for a long time now.

Ok. Now I have 3 tulpae based on real people. My opinion is that if you want to do it, just do it. But have something clear: They will not be the people they're inspired in. They will look very similar, but won't be the originals. You have to let them be themselves, and not forcing them to be as the person they're inspired in, because this will bring identity crisis to them, and that could lead them to a depression or even suicide. My only advice is that. Let them be themselves, and have clear they're not the people they look like. Good luck, dude! :D :D :D :D
