I'm sure what I'm going to say in this post has already been said before in this thread and others, but this is just my opinion. Usually, trying to get people to understand tulpamancy by telling them about it at face value will get you weird looks at best. It's completely unrelatable to the masses and the only analogy they could draw up to understand it better is schizophrenia or other mental illnesses. It's not generally a good idea. However, if you could establish some points that could set aside these preconceived notions you could get some support, but I doubt that anyone there would give it a second thought, really. You'd be lucky to get even one person to try it out for themselves, I'd think. The time you need to put into the process would put off anyone who doesn't have a genuine interest in the phenomenon. In my honest opinion about all this, I don't think that the masses really need to know about it. Even if the community grew as a result, we could also end up attracting the wrong type of people entirely.
