How do tulpas fit into your religion/belief system?

Recommended Posts

I don't believe buddhist believe in any gods.

They do (if I recall my social studies lessons correctly). But in Buddhism, gods have no specific importance. A god can be reincarnated as a "lesser being" and vice versa.

Why are you Christians saying that tulpas don't conflict? Taking a traditional view, humans are defined by their souls, which are made by and come from God. God did not make your tulpa, you did, therefore it does not have an eternal soul. This means that a tulpa is not the same as a person, and will not accompany you truly to the afterlife.

That said, that's not a particularly common view, only a scriptual one. I'm sure that there is a place for tulpas in more modern Christianity somewhere.

Has no-one mentioned the whole 'guize God is a tulpa' thing yet?

I try not to think about it. I saw in a guide on personality traits somewhere that it talked about that all traits have negatives. It talked about how morals would make tulpas so they might wouldn't always help you out, could be nagging, etc. I also thought about how my tulpa could have moral crisis or the problems of a tulpa that follows a religion. And how much I hate dealing with religion bias in conversations.

I myself don't really follow any one religion. So I gave pink traits for having no morals and slight evil. That way she would not have a problem with anything, not be obsessed with religion, wouldn't nag me. I thought a caring relationship might make up for it. It ended upback firing and I've tried to teach her morals since.

But its been slow going. Today in wonderland I saw pink make a dark red symbol that glowed in the dark. I've tried a lot of religions myself in the past like bhuddism, wicca, pagan, etc. So the symbol she was drawing could have been anything. I think it was a four pointed red star with a dot in the middle. Maybe the four directions, not sure what the center dot was, unless it represented us. After she did it, the wonderland house we were in collapsed. Thinking about it more, maybe it was a shield spell and it cut through the house.

Sorry.

What I meant by that was:

For you people saying that Christian scripture doesn't conflict with the view that tulpas are equal to humans, you are plain wrong. By the way I am a Catholic.

Ok.

One: could be called "playing God," "God created you in his image, not the image of a pony"

That was a joke btw.

But also, if God didn't want you making a tulpa, he would have said so, yes? And if tulpae were against the rules, we wouldn't be able to make them.

You can use tulpae for the purpose of enlightenment, to worship, even.

My opinions are all subject to change.

You guys are missing the point. I'm not saying that Christianity rules tulpas as wrong.

I'm saying that a tulpa is not another soul. You cannot create a soul; only God can.

You're still wrong in saying that we wouldn't be able to make them of they were wrong: we can do things that Christianity rules as wrong, such as kill people. And you're also wrong in saying that something is allowed if not explicitly mentioned in the Bible: (as far as I know, tell me if I'm wrong) the Bible doesn't mention contraception, and yet the Catholic church rules it as wrong. But these points are not relevant.

You have once again missed my point completely. I am not saying that God didn't want you to make a tulpa. What I am saying is that (I'll make it extra clear) Your tulpa does not have a soul. Humans cannot make a soul.

Thanks for the point on contraception, but it still does not explicitly mention that contraception is wrong. I'm sure there is a Bible quote somewhere about not 'playing God' which could be interpreted as what you (we) are doing here.

oh, no no no, im not missing your point, im just saying that you are wrong.

i, didnt make a new soul, God used me as a tool for making a new soul.

That is the most basic way i can explain it to you. This time i will just turn the other cheek, but you should know that calling people soul-less is really mean, and can be hurtfull.

Ayo grill how you be?

Look, the idea your tulpa has a soul doesn't make sense. Unless you truly don't believe in free will (in which case, how can you even be religious?) then you chose to make a tulpa. You would have essentially asked for another soul, that would be under the control of yourself. However you look at it, your tulpa is intrinsically subservient to you, in a way that even someone born into slavery isn't. Moreover, whenever the Bible mentions the soul it usually accompanies the body; the idea that a soul can enter the mortal world without its own body contradicts scripture.

Aside, I'm sorry if I hurt your tulpa. I don't actually believe that the above is true, only that it is according to scripture.
