House Of Chimeras February 16, 2013 February 16, 2013 Being polytheistic but enjoying seeing beliefs as possibly/likely a construct of the mind through archetypes and themes anthropomorphized, basically, I don’t really care. The more I learn about psychology and personally learn more about the weirdness of this brain the more the phase “why not?” comes to mind.
Flexionsensor February 16, 2013 February 16, 2013 Why are you Christians saying that tulpas don't conflict? Taking a traditional view, humans are defined by their souls, which are made by and come from God. God did not make your tulpa, you did, therefore it does not have an eternal soul. This means that a tulpa is not the same as a person, and will not accompany you truly to the afterlife. There's my stance for ya. "DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!" Shameless self promotion!
Ashikael February 17, 2013 February 17, 2013 I see God as a creator that really loves creation. How could He hate seeing people creating? By making tulpa, we're taking pieces of our selves and allowing those pieces the sentience and knowledge needed to add upon themselves. We are enriching our own selves by creating. I think God would smile fondly upon this, as long as you don't use the tulpa as an excuse to lock yourself away and ignore the world around you.
Lacquer March 13, 2013 March 13, 2013 Under the psychological school of tulpas, there is little to no interaction between my tulpas and my faith.
ZerothEnder March 14, 2013 March 14, 2013 I'm atheist, as in I don't believe in a theistic god. My belief is that the entire universe has a spirit, or consciousness, and everything in the universe is a manifestation of that consciousness. So basically I am everything, and everything is me. Or rather, just I am. Tulpae fit into this because I believe that they are either cuttings of our own spirits which grow into fully conscious spirits, or that we invite another fragment of the universe's spirit into our bodies. Either way, Tulpae have their own souls, which gives them consciousness like our own. My Tulpae: Syldra River (Jan. 9, 2013) Picture Erin (March 30, 2013) Picture
Discord April 22, 2014 April 22, 2014 Sorry for bumping an ancient thread, but this topic interests me, and it's better than creating an extra copy of an already established thread. Anyways, I'm Gnostic Christian, so I believe that we were all one entity anyway, so what's the harm in splitting myself into two souls? :D I believe that tulpas have souls, because one has to have a soul to have a consciousness. Although then again, my tulpa is gonna be a unicorn most likely, so I'm not sure how unicorns are handled in the afterlife (maybe they go to a different afterlife to be with other unicorns? xD) Even if traditional Christianity ends up being the case, I believe there is no hell, sinners would just have to live outside of the kingdom. I could handle that, I would have my tulpa to keep me company and without the need to work, we could pretty much hang out in our wonderland 24/7 :D Will list tulpas when I get things sorted out in my head.

Staff would prefer to see an old thread revived so the contributions are preserved. I personally think tulpas are part of the human who makes them, and so go with their human. I think it comes down to the choice you make, to accept a relationship with the Lord of Heaven; plus how mature you are - are you mature enough to make that decision yourself. Myself, I'm a baptist through personal choice and the forgiveness of Jesus. Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.

Myself, I'm a baptist through personal choice and the forgiveness of Jesus. Yeah, I do accept Jesus. I'm still not sure if Jesus really was the son of God or not, or if Christ is more of an ideal than a divine son of God. But I certainly won't reject him if he's there, and I choose to believe he could be the son of God just in case. Anyways, I'm not religious, because religions to me, are constructs made by man to trap the soul on Earth and drain us of our money, although then again, a lot of churches do a lot of good for people so maybe they're not so bad. I like the part of the church where they donate to the poor, and do missionary work, although I think it's good to just take part in that part of the church, and just be spiritual without going by the dogma or the Bible. If he does exist, I think the only thing that matters to him is that our souls achieve a Christlike/Buddha state, and until then, our souls are repeatedly reincarnated, so we can grow spiritually. Will list tulpas when I get things sorted out in my head.
Strangelove April 22, 2014 April 22, 2014 Do you think God (or whoever you believe in) frowns upon you? Do you think of God as a tulpa in some ways? I know tulpatalk was a catholic, but he never discussed it much. Dunno, if it does or doesnt. Doesnt bother me either way. If he does exist, I think the only thing that matters to him is that our souls achieve a Christlike/Buddha state, and until then, our souls are repeatedly reincarnated, so we can grow spiritually. You should look into Sikhism; Its kinda like that We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness in this world.
