TulpaCouple August 22, 2012 August 22, 2012 I do like the Tolkien theory myself. Most tulpae want their creators to be better more loving people. I don't see anything much wrong with that.
Kiahdaj August 23, 2012 August 23, 2012 Why would He? Tulpaforcing is creating life. He likes life. By creating life, in some people's views, you are playing God. Depending on the religion to which you are referring, God does not like that. Anyway, I am more or less agnostic, so tulpa don't really fit anywhere into my "views". Though as someone else stated, just the fact that tulpa are real, shows that this world is far more amazing than most could ever imagine. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
glitchthe3rd August 23, 2012 August 23, 2012 So for now let's just say that tulpae very much fit in, and their very existence proves that the world is even more awesome than we all thought. 412 August 23, 2012 August 23, 2012 on the orthodox christian view i don't think it's wrong in any way... if i'm not wrong that is. idk i'm not a priest but anyway , no , i can't really see why it would be considered bad. It's not really playing god either since it's just your own head you're messing with.

That's assuming that the psychological view of tulpae is true, and not the metaphysical. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. Nikodemos August 23, 2012 August 23, 2012 If I was still a Jehova's Witness I would have probably said that since creating a tulpa is linked to the Asian monks, and thus shoul be avoided as Satan's work to lure you out of Jehova. Good that I'm not one anymore. Name: Dante Gender: Male Form: Toa Mata Nui, a Bionicle(Amadeus made a sketch of him, kudos!) Stage: Narration, posession Being original since July 2012.

Guest Anonymous August 23, 2012 August 23, 2012 It's difficult to explain my belief system, but the way I say see it, you and I don't really exist. Therefore things like individuality, perception, and even memory are all subjective interpretations of an illusion. From a rational perspective, we're just a complex collection of elements and compounds formed together in the perfect way as to give us the ability to experience the universe. Which means we're not just experiencing the universe, we're subjectively experiencing ourselves. So while a tulpa is simply another illusion, it's consciousness is no less real than yours, or mine.
