Or was it just a companion/friend i needed? (°_° ) cliché>

Not that cheesy a cliché, sir: having someone so close that truly understands you probably does wonders to mental stability.

Oh, i forgot to mention, this experience has let me find out that 1) i'm more prone to daydreaming/hallucinating than the norm 2) i have an easier time than most letting other personalities take control of (parts of) my body, since i succeeded at the first attempt - which wasn't even serious to begin with. So i now wonder if i was more fucked up than i thought.

Thanks for the input, guys. I have dyslexia, not diagnosed but it's pretty obvious when I can't write a paragraph without writing at least one or two words backwards, and still to this day cannot tell you which direction is right or left if I'm not given time to think about it. I don't think it's affected my decision to make a tulpa at all though. Maybe I'm just not aware of its affects...

I'm surprised by what some of you have to deal with, especially those of you who have OCD/ADHD/ADD (omg so many letters XD). Heck, I don't have those and I still can't sit still and force for longer than 10 minutes at a time.

Dang. If mental conditions were gumballs, you'd be the gumball machine. Sorry to hear you have to deal with all that. I hope your tulpa can indeed help you! Actually, it would be very interesting if a tulpa could help "treat" various mental conditions in some way, even if it just makes them more bearable by providing company.

@Loli

Naaaah, that doesn't indicate you're messed up. Maybe you just found it easier because you have different mental wiring than you may have known.

Funny you should mention that, Luna's main goal in life is apparently to help me manage my autistic symptoms so that I can lead a semi-normal life.

And also to have lots of sex before she dies

My progress report

I've had my bouts of hypochondria, but other than being an introvert, I'm probably perfectly normal.

Speaking of which, April has an extroverted personality, and I've noticed I've become more outgoing since making her, if only a little.

I actually thought this was going to be a bigger problem than it actually was. I have the inattentive type which often makes me incredibly absent-minded. However, what most people don't think about with ADD is hyperfocus. I'm not sure if it is universal for ADD, but is definitely prevalent. It means that if I am enjoying something, I can focus incredibly well on it. For example, I've accidentally read a book or gamed all day forgetting to eat or do anything else. When I'm reading I'm practically deaf, to the point where when I was in grade school, if I started reading a book, the teacher would literally have to shake me to snap attention. It was just a matter of making forcing enjoyable.

Although they don't affect tulpa making I have minor narcolepsy.

Witty signatures are hard to think of.

On a side note.

I don't suffer from insanity.

I enjoy every minute of it.

:>

I need a side replacement...

I started a tulpa because I was extremely depressed and majorly retracting from society, so a tulpa was a means of coping. Even though she's not nearly as sentient and vocal as I hoped by now, the process actually helped me out of depression mostly be giving me something to look forward to in life.

ohlawd

I have ADHD diagnosed by a doc, and I wish i was still taking the meds for it. Addy's as much as they make me shake, they keep me focused. In normalcy I cannot clear my mind at all.

it hinders forcing but I have found ways around it, by listening to music or caffienating xD

I has teh A.D.D and I can force with music

My opinions are all subject to change.

Social anxiety and seasonal affective disorder here, both self-diagnosed. Unfortunately I lack the courage to speak up and get treatment, but Sariah has helped a ton in overcoming them.
