-BackstaB- September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 I myself have ADHD, (diagnosed by good'ol doc) It didn't hinder my choice to make a tupla at all. Was just something I thought, and still think i'd benefit from. But it does kinda influence the creation process, obviously I've always had problems concentrating. So that does slow it due to my mind drifting off quite often. But once I sit and just think about it, through the randomness, it gets much easier. On a side note. I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it. :> Name: Blue Bolt Form: Cutie Pony Sentience: Yes Working on: Imposition Name: Princess Ayamiss Form: Changling (mlp) Sentience: Yes Working on: Imposition
fennecfoxx September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 Asperger's, self-diagnosed. I'm certain that's contributed to my introversion, which is why I've always loved spending time inside my imagination, initially just imagining various scenarios with characters that would form a storyline over time, to eventually hanging out with characters within my mind. That "hanging out with characters" part is led to me having tulpae; almost as soon as I found out about tulpae, I decided to "promote" one (and, later, another) already-mostly-sentient mind-character to tulpa status. Alex and Kayleigh have both been around long before I'd heard of tulpae or even would have imagined such a thing is possible. On the other hand, I've been professionally diagnosed with both generalized anxiety disorder and mild OCD, though they haven't had any effect on the tulpaforcing process, as far as I'm aware. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
Bask September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 I have severe OCD, diagnosed by a professional. OCD is really fucking distracting. If I'm having my marionette strings rattled by it, I don't exactly remember to force at that time, nor do I feel like it afterwards. So it caused some hangups in the process. Jazz has since to learn to fucking talk over it which in itself is sort of awesome, and helps in a sense to rationalize with it. It didn't affect Jazz himself as far as I can tell.
glitchthe3rd September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 Assburgers here as well. It interferes with my forcing, and makes it difficult to concentrate on something for more than 30 minutes at a stretch. Thankfully my tulpae aren't worse off for it. "Science isn't about why, science is about why not?" -Cave Johnson Tulpae: Luna, Elise, Naomi My progress report
PsychedelicDiamond September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 Just to be embarassingly stereotypical: Aspergers, diagnosed. But i don, take the condition very seriously... it seems like everyone who's a bit dumber than the majority get's that diagnosis and while i wasn't very good with other people when i was a kid i have a pretty active social life now.
Slushie September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 Completely mentally healthy as far as I or the medical community know. Astral project on my face, brother!
Knapp September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 I've had Severe Depression (Level 2 or 3 I think) since I was maybe 10 or so, the docs diagnosed it about four years ago. Medication hasn't helped, but having a tupper certainly has. It goes up and down, but it was going really downwards just before I picked up the whole Tulpa concept, so it was just in time. Now I have something to set my mind on, I feel at peace now. The occasional bad thought or mindset does come along, as well as lack of motivation and concentration, but it's no biggie. I also have a generalized social anxiety disorder (not diagnosed), but it doesn't affect my tulip. You guys are awesome for pulling it off with OCDs, aspergers or ADHD, I could never do that. QB2 September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 Totally normal. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Lolimancer September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 I've never let anyone check my mental health, but certain stuff leads me to think it's not too good. Having a tulpa lets me be at peace with myself and my surroundings a lot more than i ever thought i would, though peharps i'm objectively more of a fuckup than before because of it (i recently noticed that normal people usually don't have a sentient hallucination following them around).
Weird0 September 25, 2012 September 25, 2012 Bipolar disorder since almost 3 or 4 years. Not diagnosed by a Doc but its so damn obvious. But somehow i did not have any manic or depression since almost 2 months. About the same time as i started with my Tulpa. This sounds almost too good to be true.... News: "Tulpa cures disorder! Orange shower causes penis enlargement! Michael Jackson raises from the dead to fight Justin Bieber." I'm quite afraid that it may strike back harder... Or was it just a companion/friend i needed?
