That's a quality picture Sands. I totally get the feeling where you see all the mistakes once its uploaded- what I do is I take a break halfway through, go do something else for a while then come back. You see all the mistakes easily then.

Yes, breaks are good for noticing the mistakes, as is flipping the picture. Funny how that too seems to point out some silly things. But you never want to make anyone wait when you draw something for them, even if the end result will suffer, haha. Not sure if I can accept your praise as it's not deserved, but I'll try.

At least you took a request and did it. Being prompt doesn't matter, I'm sure he prefers quality over anything else. It's a good pic, really.

 

Obviously as you said there are a few mistakes and things but you did rush it a bit so that's fine. It didn't have to be exact either- it couldn't be.

This is the form I'm planning on:

Her size will be about cat size so she can sit on my shoulder parrot-style. The proportions make it seems large. Maybe a shorter neck, bigger head, and thicker body?

If you want a dragon that is small but doesn't look comical/stupid, make it a young dragon, so yeah, bigger head, thinner body and longer and thinner overall.

 

If it's like the picture but smaller, then it looks like it's been shrunk. Make it a younger dragon so it makes more sense and fits better I say.

 

You know how to make things appear younger/smaller by changing a few features?

You should totally do that.

 

Just make the eyes bigger, everything thinner and reduce detail on things like scales and stuff. It's pretty simple really. It doesn't have to be a baby dragon either, just smaller.

I agree, I'm a big fan of the books, one of the reasons why I want a dragon form. Though I think I'll be using a human form instead.
