glitchthe3rd June 4, 2012 June 4, 2012 On that note, but posed in a less accusatory manner, I do actually have something I want to ask you about this--straight up, without being unnecessarily confrontational. Why do you believe Luna and S became "corrupted?" Do you think it's something that happened on its own or something you did? I know you've already mentioned you believe it was the hate that corrupted them, but why should your negative emotions be so dramatically corrupting on their own? I mean, hate is a negative thing, but just the mere presence of it doesn't generally make people go insane, alter who and what they are on a core level (as with going "rogue" or having a "corrupted appearance"), exhibit murder-suicide objectives in trying to attack their creator, or just generally turn them into some kind of insane shadowbeast or whatever. A person with a well rounded personality should be able to sometimes feel negative emotions and have negative opinions without becoming the Prince of Hell's Seventh Legion as a direct result. I guess my question is, do you think it was hate that corrupted them, or did you create a false binary for their existence in which they had to be either "pure" or "corrupt" and your (I'll say arbitrary, but that's my opinion) rules were the actual cause of what happened? EDIT: Darn, I just read that and it sounded more judgmental than I'd intended. I guess I should mention that the reason I'm asking isn't to try and make you feel bad or anything. It's because the distinction could actually be important for the community to know, and either way it does factor into "Things to Avoid." It's hard to say. On one hand I created S out of spite, though on the other there's some truth to what you said, and it indeed could be the case that the "corruption" was just a false binary. A wise man once said, "Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." So maybe by showing one of my tulpas some love I was able to break the vicious cycle that I'd created. Sock June 4, 2012 June 4, 2012 I always keep a computer handy when forcing. I use it for tones and music, and then for taking notes when I'm finished. It's just a matter of not letting yourself get distracted by other things (i.e. porn). This is exactly why I started turning off my computer when I go to work on my tulpa. It's a huge distraction, especially with the internet on. I always end up putting off tulpa forcing, and everything else for that matter, off when I netsurf. Sock Cottonwell's Sketchbook, Journal, and Ask thread. Peace

G|d30n June 5, 2012 June 5, 2012 >Making excuses for not forcing. You could be forcing as you sit there reading this sentence. Very true. You'd be amazed what you can get done if you just actually commit 3 hours a day to forcing, without missing a day. I work and have other responsibilities and waste time on the Internet too, but there are 24 hours in a day and I've gotten on average 2-4 hours of forcing in every day since I started. I just hit 43 hours. I've been doing this for 15 days. My point isn't to show off--my point is, there are no excuses. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.

How much would you remember from a class? Depends on the individual. How much do you remember of content created by your mind daily, noted, frequently worked with and reviewed as a daily part of your routine? No reason it shouldn't all stick. I've had no trouble with recalling anything, myself. I should note though that these are stretched out into hour sessions, morning, mid-day, and then late night, with plenty of time to review and think about things in between. So it's not really a matter of sitting in biology all day. It's, how much do you remember from a school day where you only had three classes, which should be everything, more or less.
