NeonKnights April 26, 2013 Author April 26, 2013 We haven't really consciously tried yet, but I think I've almost begun imposing Isis a few times unintentionally. When I'm tired, trying to get to sleep, and cuddling with her, I think being half asleep helps greatly. It's never been anything more than being able to faintly feel warmth radiating from her, but I think with a bit more work, we could get to the earliest stages of visual and maybe even auditory imposition. I guess I've just been waiting until they both get a bit stronger with their voices, to the point where I'm able to hear them even when I'm not focusing directly on them. It would be really nice to impose them, though, now that I think about it... "You've got to believe to achieve." -Hank Hill
cruse April 28, 2013 April 28, 2013 SPOILER ALERT [video=youtube] Once you're done playing Ib (pronounced "Eve") take a look at this. Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
NeonKnights April 28, 2013 Author April 28, 2013 It took me a while, but I think I've finally gotten not-Uni to start pronouncing her new name correctly. I feel kind of bad for correcting her, though, her mispronunciation of it was kind of cute. On top of that, doing the deed made me feel like an ass. And man, I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch that video, at this rate. The game keeps crashing for me at the part with the story about the girl who swallows the key, saying something like, "no such interface exists" or some such crap. I'm bummed out about that, I was having fun up until that point. I'll try re-downloading it, maybe something got corrupted. Neat to see that there's other Ib players around here, though! Edit: Yep, I'm screwed. Re-download did nothing, rolling back to 1.04 did nothing. Starting from the beginning did nothing. This sucks. "You've got to believe to achieve." -Hank Hill
cruse April 28, 2013 April 28, 2013 Make sure you watch it, it's pretty nice. Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
NeonKnights April 28, 2013 Author April 28, 2013 Will do, certainly. First I have to figure out why this game won't let me continue, though. Being stuck because of a glitch/bug is killing me. "You've got to believe to achieve." -Hank Hill
NeonKnights April 29, 2013 Author April 29, 2013 That's what I'm thinking, but since I've downloaded two versions of it three separate times, and nobody else seems to have this problem, it doesn't seem too likely. Update: It took me forever to figure it out, but I found out that by selecting "don't read", the door still unlocks for you. It appears the day is saved, no more crashes and I'm much farther in. As for tulpa matters, I might have another tulpa incoming (I've tried having three a couple times before, but maybe the third time's the charm). I'll reveal more if/when I confirm that she's here to stay. To be safe this time, I'm going to actively involve myself in her development, or at least wait a couple of weeks if development is slow before I declare her an official tulpa. NeonKnights April 29, 2013 Author April 29, 2013 Finally got through the game (though I know there's multiple endings, so I'm not exactly 'done'), and watched that video. That was nice. I had an idea a short while ago regarding this fabled third tulpa: Basically, my friend showed me a picture of a character from a show which he's watched, but I haven't seen a single episode of. I said, "hey, I like her," and asked him to introduce us. Being a fellow tulpamancer, I think he got the same idea and agreed to 'introduce' us later tonight. I see it as an advanced form of the 'greeting stage' of tulpa creation; she's a separate entity that I will meet just like I would meet anybody else a friend is introducing me to. The plan is to make this a complete meeting, including last-minute things beforehand like him telling me about her personality, her interests, and giving me advice for interacting with her, followed by the big reveal, where I meet her in my thoughtspace. If this works right, it should be like push-starting a car with a manual transmission; the sheer momentum and extreme belief in her being a separate entity should allow us to smoothly start right in second gear, and development should move very quickly. This is only in theory, of course. "You've got to believe to achieve." -Hank Hill
cruse April 30, 2013 April 30, 2013 What ending did you get anyway? Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
