Where are we going?

Not only does it continue to map out the personality of the tulpa, in the same way one might type out the personality traits on a trait sheet, or narrate said traits to the tulpa, alternatively a tulpamancer can "roleplay" as their tulpa. Now, I haven't done this personally, but a few have claimed that it can lead to an *independent tulpa.

 

Maybe we have a different definition of what roleplaying is, but I seriousle doubt that the roleplayers who say "hay guise I just found out about tulpas yesterday and I made fifty of them and we can do full posession and we have full imposition working and oh wait there was a war in my wonderland now only twenty are left here I'll send fifteen of them away so it's not overwhelming oh hey mu tulpas had a baby and the baby multiplied yadda yadda yadda" are really helping to "map out" a tulpa's personality. It's just lying to get some internet cred in this tiny community, which is essentially worthless. Also, what with people being on their toes about roleplaying, it can backfire and have a negative effect of being outcasted.

When the admin who actually is here now does nothing to prevent blatant roleplaying in case omg they are telling the truth, don't think anything will ever happen to stop unprofessional shit and roleplaying, as the admin is working against you 9 times out of ten.

You're right, but what I more or less want to do is make it so that they don't get and cred for such an act. If its possible, at least.

I think that this community shouldn't become forgotten or become too massive, but it needs good people not these trolls or those who just mess around, its not like all the newcomers are like this because like me and my friends we joined because we were intrigued and we wanted to create a tulpa for life.One of my friends asked me if you can make the tulpa go away after he is done and that seriously made me angry, its like he doesn't care about them at all like plain test subjects (rats).In the end not all the new members have bad intentions but most of them just mess around.

This, This is why it's such a problem, people come here for serious info, not some bullshit stories or inflated egos.

Don't worry, I can't say that people automatically hate new people. They (and myself) hate those who are ridiculous, old or new. Once the old, sensible people leave, it's up to the new people to try to fight for uh. I dunno, science? Professionalism? The torch will be passed on and stuff, if enough care about the future of tulpa.info then maybe this place will be saved. Not looking very good though and I guess if you want to get involved, you're basically taking on an impossible task. Maybe in a way we gotta blame ourselves for not fixing it before, so sorry about that and stuff because you gotta live in the filth we let others smear all over this place. Maybe a new place for tuppers would be better than trying to wash all the shit off the walls, the stink will never go away.

 

There's more newcomers than oldfags. New people learn from other newbies, who usually are hyperactive and ridiculous. It's a loop that will never end. The good and sensible advice is buried under bullshit drama and when someone says something against that, they're muted. People will learn that drama and attentionwhoring is the way to go and that you can silence everyone who says something against you. That's bad and even the mods and admins let that happen. In fact, they're the ones doing the silencing. I guess we'll see if even this post gets through.

Indeed, i agree with you completely sands but why do the old sensible people have to leave or get banned? Just because of their opinions which are more sane? Thing is the old sensible people can help the newcomers so much more due to their experiences. As for newcomers learning from other newbies, i'd say people under the age of 18 would do that because, come on everyone both logical and creative people wouldn't be so foolish to follow guides like "i made 30 tulpas in 5 minutes". Then again that is just my opinion and lots of people see it differently but i am sure people are not so gullible.

The old members leave because the forums have gone in a direction they don't like. It's not for science anymore, it's not even trying to be professional and be taken seriously. Hell, some even start doubting their own tuppers because of the shit others claim, thinking they must've made all of the shit up themselves when the rest of the community passes all kind of ridiculous shit as tuppers and legit. They don't want to be a part of it. Maybe some have tried stopping it, not all care enough to do so, but the end result is this. Nothing has happened, it has only gotten worse. So they leave the sinking ship, can't blame them. Those who do something and enough to get a reaction out of someone will hurt someone's feelings and as you know, on the internet, hurting someone's feelings is serious business. So you're not seen as the helper from a mod's point of view, you're the criminal ruining everything because super special unique snowflake cried. And you get in trouble yourself, so why bother? I guess some choose to sink with the ship, but that shouldn't be expected out of everyone. That's stupid, this place doesn't even mean that much to some. Or maybe it means too much and seeing it in a state like this is too much, so they rather leave with the good memories they got.

 

Don't think that the people around you are all good and smart. I've thought that in the past. Been proven wrong so many times it's crazy. People are gullible or just want to believe. They want to be a part of something. They want to be one of the cool kids, no matter what. If the cool kids do stupid shit, so must they. If the cool kids say thing x happened, it obviously did. Or they at least want to believe it did, because these people are cool and thing x is cool, too.

If some of us were to migrate over somewhere else, what exactly would that solve?

We'd either have to have some kind of screening process for each new member, or the moderation team would have to be set up to be dictator-like; deleting all posts/members that they think are, or will become the kind of people that we don't like here. And not only is that not the way a community should run, but it would no doubt lead to mods abusing their powers, like some already do here.

The problem is not necessarily this specific community. You can see that based on the fact that every day we get new roleplayers.

If another tulpa community were to be made, it would have the same problem.

The tulpa phenomenon simply attracts people like this.
