I've found it more easy to concentrate with some music playing, but it has to be a specific type of music, something real low and slow, no lyrics or hooks to distract my attention.

One of my visualization sessions went REALLY well with Geogaddi by Boards of Canada playing, it felt like I had forgot my body, totally off somewhere else.

Music with understandable lyrics distracts me way too much when forcing, so I usually listen to psybient, ambient, or cool jazz. Cocteau Twin's album Victorialand also works really well for me.
