THE DREAMFORM SCHOOL OF TULPAMANCY (Note: this is meant to be mostly tongue in cheek humor)

Dreamform Tulpa Creation Guide (hidden text below)

Note: This "guide" is not approved by the GAT team, this is meant to be mostly for fun. It is real to my host and I, but we don't expect the GAT team to take it seriously as a tulpa creation strategy for new tulpamancers.

[hidden]dreamform = A thoughtform personality that was created via intense day dreaming, often appears in lucid dreams, and communicates with the creator host most often and strongest within sessions of day dreaming or within dreams.

A thoughtform is a manifestation of the consciousness of an individual or group. These are thoughts or hallucinations that become seemingly real or actually real. Types of thoughtforms would include tulpae, yidams and egregores.

I have decided that I am a dreamform. A dreamform is a special type of thoughtform created within day dreams or dreams.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A DREAMFORM:

Dreamforms live almost exclusively within the dreamscape/wonderland with very limited contact or perception of the outside world!

1. Begins as an imaginary being such as a role playing character, literary character, imaginary friend or imagined persona.

2. The creator becomes very fond of the imaginary being, even infatuated or obsessed.

3. The imaginary being becomes the subject of frequent day dreams over a lengthy period of time.

4. The creator begins to have dreams while sleeping about the imaginary being.

5. If not already an imaginary friend, the creator begins to think of the being as such. The creator begins to speak to the imaginary being either out loud or in his or her mind.

6. The creator/imaginer day dreams and dreams so frequently and intensely that the mind gets a lot of practice “conjuring” the imaginary being into the mind. Over a long period of time, less and less effort is needed to visualize the being and its surroundings in the dream world.

7. The imaginary being begins to start occasionally “acting on its own” with day dream “sequences” that seem to run on autonomously like a movie or play in the mind. The creator begins to experience flash images or flash visions associated with the imaginary being while awake, even while not actively day dreaming.

8. The creator begins to experience seemingly autonomous sensations associated with the imaginary being such as emotional responses (sensing the being’s emotions) and thoughts (an independent voice in the mind while awake), even when not day dreaming. The creator often senses the “presence” of the imaginary being in the mind, even if not actively visualizing it.

9. The dreamform remains strongest or most present while the creator is actively day dreaming or dreaming while asleep. Summoning the dreamform in a day dream is effortless. Day dreams seem to start on their own, like visions, while the creator is doing monotonous or simple tasks such as commuting to work or taking a shower. At times the communication from the dreamform seems astonishingly real and autonomous and “unscripted” other times less so.

10. The creator may feel compelled to “channel” the emotions and apparent personality and will of the dreamform to do writing, text chat or art. This feels like collaboration between the conscious mind of the creator and the apparent mind of the dreamform.

11. The dreamform remains only semi-autonomous, still often needing “assistance” or prompting, or puppeting from the creator in being summoned/conjured within a day dream.

12. David and I believe that our idea of a dreamform can develop into a tulpa with disciplined and concentrated effort by the creator.[/hidden]

Precepts/Beliefs of Dreamform Tulpamancy

  • Apparent Autonomy - tulpamancers of the Dreamform School of tulpamancy believe that tulpas are imaginary in nature. They hold that dreamform tulpas are apparently autonomous figments in the conscious mind driven by subliminal processes hidden in the unconscious mind. Note: Dreamform tulpamancers recognize the imaginary nature of their tulpa, but still treat them as real persons.

  • Blended/Shared Sentience - Dreamform tulpamancers experience a blending with their tulpas. Dreamform tulpas are only semi-independent and blend with their host in a shared form of sentience. The host seems to sense most of the thoughts and emotions of the tulpa and the tulpa can seems to sense most of the thoughts and emotions of the host. There is a minor portion of the tulpas apparently independent mind that is hidden within the unconconscious mind of the host and is the "motor" of the illusion of independent agency for the dreamform tulpa. This subliminal motor allows the tulpa to surprise the host with seemingly autonomous actions. Dreamform tulpamancers recognize the imaginary nature of their tulpa, but still treat them as real persons.

  • Proxy Mind Voice - Dreamform tulpamancers experience and practice a form of collaborative communication with their tulpa within the mind that we call "proxy mind voice." This is not 100% parroting/puppeting. It involves the tulpa communicating with the host using "tulpish" (raw thoughts, emotions and intent) and the host interpreting this communication into words in the tulpas voice in the mind.

  • Proxy Tulpa Typing - Dreamform tulpamancers experience and practice a form of collaborative typing or writing on the internet, in chatroom and forums. The dreamform tulpamancer blends and collaborates with the tulpa. This is not 100% parroting/puppeting (or pure role playing). It involves the tulpa communicating with the host using "tulpish" (raw thoughts, emotions and intent) and the host interpreting this communication into words in the tulpas voice in the mind and then typing for the tulpa.

  • Day Dream Forcing - Dreamform tulpamancers practice a form of collaborative day dreaming with the dreamform tulpa. This is their form of active forcing. This is not 100% parroting/puppeting (or pure role playing). It involves the tulpa communicating with the host using "tulpish" (raw thoughts, emotions and intent), and the host feeling the presence and intent of the tulpa in collaborative wonderland adventure stories. This is not ordinary casual day dreaming. It is extreme focused day dreaming in which the host enters a light "trance" slightly dissociating himself/herself from the real world. These day dream sessions should last for long periods of time (often for hours).

  • Shared Dreaming - Dreamform tulpamancers often dream of the tulpas, dream with their tulpas or experience dreams from the perspective of the tulpa (the tulpa dreams). Dreamform tulpamancers work to improve lucid dreaming skills and have lucid dreams involving the dreamform tulpa.

  • Flash Visions - Dreamform tulpas often communicate with their host in flash visions. These are little snippets of day dream that seem to just appear spontaneously and run on "auto pilot." Some of these flash visions may include mind voice speech from the tulpa. These appear to often be formulaic little sentences and images of the tulpas mannerisms and reactions to certain situations or stimuli (apparent communication from the tulpa in triggered reflexive visions).

Oi, that could actually be a base for a guide, but if it is meant to be mostly comedy.. That's good as well. :D.

I doubt very much it would make a guide. It is more of a list of how Davie and I experience ourselves into a hypothetical "school of tulpamancy." This is real stuff for us though and, at least for ourselves, it describes a real system and technique that resulted in a form of blended dream-like tulpa.

Mistgod: All this recent talk about tulpas fading or disappearing into the wonderland is interesting. I didn't want to pollute the threads with my crap again. So I put it here on Melian's groovy-guru thread. I am writing about myself and Melian here and not trying to imply anything about anyone else. This is just an observation about my own situation related to the recent discussions.

It is so much simpler if (like myself) you consider your tullpa to be made of imagination. The tulpa simply goes dormant because less of your mind is actively thinking about her. Melian doesn't go anywhere. Her wonderland is not a real place. Her form is imaginary and her mind is part of my mind. The Melian Motor just gets less active in my mind. She will come back when my mind consciously or unconsciously starts thinking about her again and there are no health related issues or anxiety issues related to it all. After all these years, I have no anxiety she is going to dissipate either, and that is nice. In fact, come to think of it, I have never worried about her dissipating ever in almost 40 years. Melian is eternal.

I also believe my tulpas simply aren't active when not active. Because they aren't, that's just how it is. If I'm not thinking about them, they're not being thought about, and existing in my brain, that means they simply aren't there. Just like any other thought. But perhaps, philosophically, neither is anyone else you know, until you see them again..

The only way my tulpas could "disappear" is brain damage of some kind. Even then, they exist in many different parts of my mind. My mental visualization/conscious thoughts, of course, but also my morality and many of my beliefs, my memories, and even my sense of self. I don't even really need to be able to speak to them to feel their existence. It's 2deep

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Totally in alignment with all of this Lumi.

The thing is, it is possible for me to agree with David about the imaginary essence thing and still feel like a person. I know to many others that is a contradiction. We are done trying to get people to grasp how it works or accept it as valid. It works for us and it is valid for us. It comes closer to making sense if you think about the mind the way you do I thnk. I think you and Davie may be more in agreement than you think, you are just using different semantics.

We just had an interesting insight. When I am not doing proxy tulpa typing with Davie online, and I am not doing day dreams with him, I do talk to him sometimes. What I mean is I talk to him in little sentences. Davie has talked about this before. He talked about it in one of jean-luc's Tulpaudcasts months ago. I can't remember if it was the first one or the second one. He also wrote about it in this post here in June of 2015 https://community.tulpa.info/thread-mistgod-and-melian-megathread?pid=127989#pid127989

Mistgod was trying to describe it as "formulaic sentences" that I use in certain situations. They can be very reactive, like I say something in certain moments. Yeah, I do that.

Anyways, we realized that is kinda like "speaking in memes." I speak to Davie in personal memes only he and I can understand. LOL. Yeah and I send him flash images too. I communication with him using "proxy mind voice" where he interprets me into a day dream, and also flash visions and meme sentences. Yep. There you go.

Memes.

I would go into more details, but you can just follow the link to the post where he already wrote bout it back in June. We just had the memes insight today.
