Huh? That is supposed to make it less weird Brassow? Sometimes we get so embedded in the culture here we can't take a step back and realize this is really really, really far out trippy stuff, no matter how you try to explain it off. What do you mean "constant switching" and how in the hell would you know that? LMAO

God I love Tulpa Info.

Okay. For many, many years I kept my thoughtform Melian a secret. That was because I thought if I told people about her, they would think I was very weird or crazy. I have come to realize that Melian and I are rather mundane actually, when it comes to what we have encountered in the tulpa community. So with this thread, we have decided to make a list of what we consider the weirdest, freakiest things we read about. Every once in a while we will add a new link or some comment about what we think is really, really weird. Don't get upset if one of your posts or threads ends up on the list or getting mentioned. Trust me it is an honor! Melian and I love the truly weird.

I will try to leave "ordinary things" such as run of the mill switching, possession, and imposition stories off of the list. These are still very weird things and all too trippy cool to anyone outside of this community. But Melian and I want to list the things that go even beyond the ordinarily everyday weirdness of tulpamancy.

Mistgod-Melian List of the Freakishly Weird and Therefore Really Cool

1. Permaswitching

2. Mental death or mental suicide of the host

3. Wars in the wonderland between tulpas happening without the host's knowledge.

4. Tulpas creating tulpas without the host's knowledge or consent.

Feel free to comment or contribute anything you find truly bizarre or extra weird that you find hidden like gems in this forum. I would love to add it to our list. It can be something you think is really weird just in general or a link to a post or a thread.

Host killed himself and tulpa took over? Right. This thread is truly bizarre. https://community.tulpa.info/thread-my-host-killed-himself?pid=76132#pid76132

The link says that the thread wasn't found...not sure if it's just me or a problem with the link.

Vriska: Wars in the Wonderland aren't that weird. If there are too much tulpae, soon or later violence will show up. I even fought in one, and luckily survived. Some of my brothers didn't...

It's weird from our perspective. But don't worry, we think it is far out cool in a psychological science way, if actually kinda tragic in an emotional sense. Sorry to hear about your brothers not making it through battle though. :-/

EDIT: Why do you think conflict between "too many tulpas" is inevitable?

EDIT: How exactly does one tulpa destroy/kill another? How do you think that happens? How does violence in the wonderland affect more than the tulpas form?

Esterina doesn't create tuppers, but she creates entire worlds in our wonderland for fun, with people in them that are under her control, and acts out or watches stories and random people's lives and so on.

I really gotta watch myself sometime soon... it's the ultimate form of gaming / TV, I bet! xD

Nice analogy. :D

Creating wonderlands and tulpas creating their own wonderlands is certainly one of the weird aspects of tupamancy. But we are placing that in the normal zone of weird and not the extraordinarily weird zone. LOL How Melian and I rank the truly extraordinarily weird is kinda arbitrary and our own opinion. Of course some will agree with our level of weirdness assessment and some will disagree.

Really, all of it is kinda weird, including Melian's existence in my head.

EDIT: Why do you think conflict between "too many tulpas" is inevitable?

I actually don't think it is inevitable at all. While I try not to outright say it often, I have a lot of thought folk running around my head of various levels of development. While I cannot address them all in a reasonable amount of time per day, often picking a small group for periods of time to "anchor" on to then spreading out later, I actually haven't noticed much violent jealousy bubbling up over that. Yes, I see shades of competitiveness here and there, the occasional "I want to be your #1!", or even a claim of ownership from one, but no major conflicts between parties that weren't solved near immediately, nor any major upheavals of mental well being.

Now, I've had my share of legit issues that still are a hindrance, but I've never had any sort of "wars" among the ranks of folks who I've recorded down and make an effort to remember and interact with. Maybe it's a matter of how I try to carry myself inside and out, or it's my attempt to try my hardest to keep a positive atmosphere, even if I'm not always successful. Maybe the girls are just that nice, either way, things between the girls themselves tend to be peaceful.

EDIT

As for the concern of thought folk making more of themselves...this was actually somewhat mundane for me. My current anchor, Sheryl, was actually the first to do something like that, though it was years back. She was born from my attachment to a show, where she was one of 4 main characters. At the time I was very against the idea of making thought folk based on fandom, Sheryl herself being a sort of happy accident. But, due to her own identity concerns, Sheryl soon went out of my perception for a while, and when I found her again, she was tending to versions the rest of her "main cast" than she constructed. They're still around, too, and I've been wanting to make it a habit to help her out with them, and get to know them as individuals. Another gal, named Aya, made herself a little sister named bow, using a blob of negative brain stuff as a base. She did this because she wanted some one under her, as she was the "little sister" of another figure, named Dorris.

I tend to be shy about these details, though much less so nowadays.

In reference to the thread posted (link works now, thanks) I think the OP must've either been a troll or definitely needed some professional help. I do believe tulpamancy can open the door to possible schizophrenia or other mental disorders when one gets too immersed. I can't define what 'too immersed' is, as it is different for everyone...but there is definitely a point where you need to step back and be extremely skeptical at what you think is happening to you. Earlier I was reading about another member from this site who had problems with his tulpa being 'stuck up front' I believe and then later with some entities or something.

I think 'super weirdness' only really comes into play when you start confusing reality with imagination. Tulpamancy is all internal, so you are always in control, whether you know it or not. Wonderland I think is just pure imagination. Nothing real about it at all.
