Guest July 30, 2015 July 30, 2015 I've always kind of wondered what I would be like drunk, but I'm too much of a straight-edge/square to actually find out. Same thing with weed - which is legal now in Oregon. I've wanted to visit Germany for a few years now. I've tried on-and-off to learn German. Also, university is free there, which would be nice.
Guest August 1, 2015 August 1, 2015 I'm not sure there's any country in particular I'd like to visit. Maybe France would be nice? It'd definitely be a sites > activities thing, so if I were to actually take a trip, I guess I'd just try to go for the most scenic cities. Not looking for landmarks, just beautiful architecture, and interesting atmosphere, I think. Ugh, I think I'm experiencing growing pains. I haven't in a long while, but this is the feeling I recall. I'm fine with being six feet tall, body, really. You don't have to do this, I can't sleep :'l Yeah, not fun. For a while I was thinking I was just finally going into atrophy for my inactivity, but after a few hours of actually doing stuff, and nothing happening to the pain, I remembered growing pains. Felt pretty silly. Of course, atrophy will come to me some day, assuming I can't find a job. Sigh. On a kinda somber note, I was staring at my ceiling, earlier. Lights on, couldn't sleep, just staring at the marks, bumps, the texture. I used to be able to make out tons of shapes, or relate the textures to things I've seen, but I couldn't manage to see anything. Not even when I was looking for it. I haven't tried in a year or two, but still, kinda disappointing. I think I'm becoming too cynical, or something, losing touch with any imagination I used to have. Or maybe I'm psyching myself out. Idunno. It's late (Or uh, early I guess), and I'm getting the crazies. These pains are keeping me from sleeping, so it's probably time for my daily dose of painkillers. Tulpa week is a thing now, yeah? Maybe the talking thing will inspire some of them to be more active in general. We don't have many in this thread, huh.

sushi August 9, 2015 August 9, 2015 Or, bring swift, and cruel judgement upon all who oppose you and eventually usurp the admins, as well as Pleeb. Make .info bend to your will I assure you, Kiahdaj, I have no intentions of usurping. My recent attacks on the concepts of long necks, spots, and being silhouetted in front of a moonlit sky have nothing at all to do with you. They merely reflect my animosity toward greyhounds, dalmatians, and wolves, respectively. Somebody needs to keep an eye on those troublesome canines. Guest August 13, 2015 August 13, 2015 Ugh I've been watching a bunch of Gundam lately and it's making me wanna spend excess amounts of money on the toys and models. But they're so expensive, so I can't see it happening. But at the same time, many of them are limited, discontinued, or only made once every so often, so I need to find a way to get my hands on as many as possible ;-; Just finished up Gundam 00, so I'm looking at, at the very least, probably for my birthday next month, a small dual-pack that comes with Arios and GN Archer toys, just as something to look at. Then, eventually, some High-grade models. Probably actually of those two, as they're my favorites right now. Ugh, the GN Archer one I'm looking at right now is like, $60 in HG though. Or $90+ depending on the seller. Damn these consumer urges. Damn the Japanese toy and model market being so relentless as to make me feel like I have to buy these things. Why is plastic so expensive ;-; Anyone else like Gundam at all? Or at least models and such? I've had a couple small Gundam models in my time, which I mistreated as toys and wound up breaking. Won't make that mistake again..
Dracky August 14, 2015 August 14, 2015 Not as into Gundam as I used to be, although I do have an RX-78-2 figure. I collect Transformers, though, so I can sympathize with the price of plastic. Some of the Masterpiece figures and third-party stuff are insane. I also broke a $90 transforming Macross model because of my tendency to fidget with my figures, so I can sympathize there, too. Luckily main-line Transformers are relatively cheap, so I can fidget with Evasion Mode Optimus Prime to my heart's content (but not my Japanese Exclusive Rusty Version) I wanna see movies of my dreams.
Guest August 14, 2015 August 14, 2015 Niiice. I actually haven't seen Macross, but I do own the complete Robotech series, ahaha. Think of me what you will from that, I'll understand. I guess that the first saga is essential Macross with some other stuff sprinkled in? My end-all goal for a Gunpla is 100%, without a doubt, the Gundam Astray with a red frame from Gundam Seed. It's the kinda model that takes up to ten weeks of consistent work to get looking good. My brother was living in Colorado last year and actually came across a Strike Rouge some dude that worked at a model shop had on display. He said it was the most beautiful model he'd ever seen, as the guy claimed to have spent nine weeks on it, going all-out on details. As far as I'm concerned, it's the ultimate test of patience. In the realm of tangibility, anyway. These things come with an ungodly number of pieces, all requiring the same tlc to have them looking smooth and beautiful. Of course, I'm wanting to start out with Arios and GN Archer, which are only High-Grade as opposed the the ridiculous Perfect-Grade you see on Astray and Rouge up there. So we're looking at a few days of building and general detail-work at max, but it's a starting-point. They're $25 and $59 on Amazon respectively, oddly enough given that Archer is much smaller, and apparently much more finicky than Arios. Supply and demand, I guess? Either way, they combine, so I need the set. Will run the numbers with tha birthday funds to see what I can manage. But yeah man, some day I'll buy and build that Astray. Nnnnggg I get all hot and bothered just looking at it. For now, probably just all of the High-Grades from the 00 series, just so I can have a matching set. Model-building is an expensive hobby..
sushi August 14, 2015 August 14, 2015 You can get a plaster cast kit and make a mold of your sprues, then mix some acetone with styrofoam and pour it into the mold and close it up. You'll have a very inexpensive clone of your sprues. Not sure how well that would work actually. Polystyrene plastic is cheap to make, but I've never tried to get it to hold details, and I'm not sure how strong small pieces would be. But then this model was made with it, so it might work pretty well. And of course that would give you a model you can screw around and be careless with, and the actual valuable model is still safe in the original box.
