KarlYoshimura September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 @Solune: Methinks it would be insulting to call this incessant yawping "philosophical", much in the same way it is to defile lawful process with a kangaroo-court. @Tewi: I don't believe you. Unless it's supposed to be a joke, to call one's self edified and capable of teaching or influencing others whilst maintaining a paucity of empathy as well as a casual disregard for other individuals is almost blasphemous to me. This life of games and diligent trust, it's the things we do and the things we must. I'm now tired of being cussed, so go sleep forever, end to dust. -Crystal Castles, VANISHED
Tewi September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 I have no idea what you just said. Who said I lack empathy and don't care about others? Aside from you. I don't know what you have against me "teaching or influencing" people, especially on a relatively informal internet forum. Unless you just don't think anyone here is well qualified to speak to each other at all, I assume that means you just don't have a very high opinion of me. Sorry. I can't please everyone I guess. Almost nobody but you seems to have a problem with me... writing here? If my doing so isn't an immediate affront to you, I say we leave it at that. Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others. All I want is a simple, peaceful life. With my family. Our Ask thread: https://community.tulpa.info/thread-ask-lumi-s-tulpas
Guest Anonymous September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 Glad to know that you psycho babble bull game is still strong mist. Stay beautiful Mel-chan! It never ends ThreeSevens! However, I think this thread drips with the absolute worst of Mistgod-Melian contrary cynicism and negativity. I read back through and we really do come across like major assholes like out of Spaceballs. There is a lot of it in our Living Imagination thread as well. We need to tone it down around here quite a bit. It has been escalating over the past six months. We need to let tulpamancers be tulpamancers and just love them for what they are. People probably have a totally false impression of me from my writing on this forum. I am not nearly such a jerk in person. It is the subject matter and context I think that has brought me to this. I really don't like myself like this and I really, really don't like turning Melian into my little sassy toadie. She is a sweetheart and I am influencing her to become more like myself. I had trouble getting to sleep last night thinking about what has been happening and the effect it is having on me emotionally (no internet forum should effect you in a negative way emotionally or you should leave it). I thought especially about the effect it is having on Melian. I have never seen her like this. She gets bitchier and meaner (for Melly) every day and she is starting to turn it on me. So a lot of tulpamancers feel compelled to talk about how special they are. OH MY GODS it is not like Melly and I don't! We make tulpamancers look humble beyond words. Tulpas are special sure, just like Melian said, tulpas are good at what they are supposed to be good at. They have a right to be proud of it I suppose, especially in their home turf.
ThreeSevens September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 Well, as they say, recognizing your own faults and owning up to them is the first step towards redemption. Not that im qualified to give advice though. Lol, you know me and my own spiral of self hate. I think im negatively influencing Thyme as well in a manor not much unlike your own. (But it feels more like shes pissed with me than she is just cynical and in general bitchy) Like a flower beneath the concrete Pushing up under the weight Put a crack in the back of the pavement And break through into the light of day
Guest Anonymous September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 Yep, talk about "emotional bleed." LOL It goes both ways! In our case we also have mixed thoughts, so Melian picks up a lot of Mistgod talk, especially when I am feeling particularly ornery. I hope Thyme can pull you out of the habit of self loathing. It is good to have a partner like that.
Linkzelda September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 None of Mistgod-Melian discussions in any thread of any kind are futile. They are always profound descents into irreverent madness that insight powerful righteous anger. Righteous anger stirs tulpa emotions and inspires tulpas to possess their hosts and do something about it all. I know this from a good source. We are doing our part for the greater good. I must admit though we expected more from our bit about comparing tulpamancers to Star Trek Vulcan's the other day. All we got were people agreeing with it. Wait, hold on. When I talked about non-starter discussions, I meant the OP. Not what you created beforehand, or in the future. You're not the target is what I'm getting at here. Guest Anonymous September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 Oh well then. All is well. Still what I said is true. Nothing Mistgod-Melian writes is futile or pointless. It is all deeply moving, profound and life changing.
Linkzelda September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 That may vary in disposition, but okay. Same would go for anyone. 7 Hours of Active Forcing 8 Hours & 29 Minutes of Active Forcing 10 Hours of Active Forcing
Guest Anonymous September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 You challenge people, grab them by the shoulders and shake them up... and then act as if you expect thanks for it. Why does it matter to you whether people are enlightened or not? Why not let them have their elitism? Can't you see that your sense of justice is just as arbitrary? I should listen to you more often Solune. I didn't mean YOU brought hate, i mostly meant the way you communicate, this "raw", harsh way of saying things, isn't always understood by people (reading you, it looks like they never do :() I got your point, but how you deliver it makes it hard to get for someone who involved their feelings into the discussion. You say people should ignore your posts, but I think they shouldn't. You usually make some good points, imho, but how you say it is so "brutal" it messes the message completely. People just have to read between the lines (does that exist in English?). nad sometimes emotions just make it impossible. And I should listen to Floh as well. I would like to say that I went through this thread AGAIN and read everything. All of my points, and Melian's points, are spot on and factual as I see them. It was a good discussion and I am glad I got some things off of my chest. @Solune: Methinks it would be insulting to call this incessant yawping "philosophical", much in the same way it is to defile lawful process with a kangaroo-court. KarlYoshimura, if you haven't noticed, no one cares what you think about the discussion, the supposed decay of the forum, and certain personalities. In fact, you really don't matter much to me at all. No one cares who you think is worthy of notice or who should be ignored. No one cares what you think is valuable writing or not. Instead of criticizing our writing, perhaps you should make some of your own threads that contribute in some way. Right now all I see is pretty much you whining about the low quality of the discourse. I disagree that it was low quality or of no value anyway. Maybe you just can't comprehend it?
Linkzelda September 1, 2016 September 1, 2016 It's one thing to have others find a suitable way of writing that reaches out to a general audience, but it's another when the individual requesting it doesn't give a criterion for others to follow. When asked for this criterion, them shrugging it off, or making the person have to guess it out is where clarification comes in. In other words, the criterion is actually going through clarification, and even taking great pains to reach an understanding of the other person. Because when one person doesn't understand, they think of an imaginary populace, and go with the notion, 'everyone' thinks this way about you, and really feel that imaginary populace is real. It's bit of a distraction from the real problem, which is basically a one-to-one clarification pursuit vs. 'oh, everyone thinks this way; go fix it, but we're not going to give you a standard on how to do so even though we have our 7-staged patented level of communication with others.' Jeez. I think this (clarification and expounding) is better than criticizing certain styles of writing, I guess. Note, this isn't referring to Mistgod, but just to anyone that likes to criticize without owning up with something constructive. Maybe that's why people feel half of the guides should be cancelled, because sometimes people want a follow-up on them. Like to see if the person still holds those beliefs and methods they made as true to them, and what a person can do if the mentality learned in said guide is replaced, or updated with something new. I've seen people make guides, and look at them, and wondered what they were thinking. But, it's just progress, and the amazement of how much they changed, and how it's hard to recollect all of the learning they cultivated at the given time.
