Hello Tulpaforums, this is Seix_Seix again, with another doubt this time :(.

At this moment, I'm at the part of making the physical appearance of my Tulpa, and everything is going smoothly... Too smoothly ¬¬

The thing is, I could perfectly visualize my Tulpa in half of the time that the guide said, even though I focused on every single detail...

Also, I've got the feeling that I've seen the face of my Tulpa before (with some modifications of course) but I just don't know where!

I think that I am subconsciously basing my Tulpa on a character of some TV show or videogame, and I am worried if this will lead to the double-personality syndrome, because even if I don't remember it, my subconscious does, and since my Tulpa will share my memories...

Well, anyway, what do you think people? Should I try some new looks for my Tulpa? Will it cause troubles? Post your own conclusions here.

Don't bother with counting hours, it's counter-productive. If you got it in half the time then you got it in half the time.

It's said that the subconscious mind can't create it's own faces. Everybody you see in a dream, for example, is suppose to be somebody you have seen before. Even if you just walked past them once and never saw them again. Your tulpa may take after somebody you've seen once, and you just don't remember.

You're tulpa won't suffer from Dissociative Identity Disorder because of that. Also, as long as you understand that the tulpa is not the character, and let your tulpa know that as well, then they won't suffer from identity crisis either. It's only if you believe or want them to be the character that they will suffer from identity crisis because they can't live up to your expectations. There will always be deviation from a preexisting character.

You can stay with the form you have, it shouldn't be a problem.

Also, you should stop using the term double-personality syndrome. Assuming you do mean DID, that's going to lead into a false belief that people with DID can only have 2 personalities. There are some with as many as 15.

Yes, a tulpa can be based off one or more characters, looks or personality wise. The important thing to remember here, is that your tulpa isn't that character, and it never will be. Sounds simple and obvious, but it is very crucial to realize.

Name: Philip

Age: (7 June, 2012)

Form: Male teenage human, light brown hair, green eyes, jeans & hoodie

Name: Amalia

Age: (15 Dec, 2012)

Form: Female teenage fairy, black hair, blue eyes, white dress

Don't bother with counting hours, it's counter-productive. If you got it in half the time then you got it in half the time.

Since it pertains to this question, I'll go ahead and ask this, that I've always wondered...

As for how well you are supposed to see your tulpa in your head in the end; are you supposed to be able to eventually see them almost as vividly as you could with your eyes, before you're done?

With me for instance, I know exactly what my tulpa looks like, pretty much down to the last detail, but I can't see him, or anything vividly in my mind.

Am I supposed to keep at it until I can see him perfectly?

I wish I could actually contribute to the thread, but Phi and Knapp covered it pretty well..

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
