I'm just wondering if watching the anime again and thinking about the character more helps with visualization over time. I would prefer answers from those who had success with this method? If anyone's wondering, I'm basing my mindfolk off of Tomoe from Kamisama Hajimemashita. Nanami's one of those types I look up to. I'd like to be in her position.

Tomoe is a kitsune (fox youkai), his ears are just missing there because he can't show them at a human school. I wish there was another season of Kamisama... sigh.

I'm also wondering if anyone was trying to make a human version of an anime character and succeeded - if you had any trouble with visualizing them as human, how'd you do it? I would prefer Tomoe to be human.

My lip hurts.

I've made several tulpae based on anime characters, and having lots of reference images and rewatching the show will definitely aid in consistent visualization -- as it will be easy to become intimate with all the details of your character with these resources available.

Also I'm not sure what you mean by the last question (aren't most anime characters human?). Do you mean like a 3D human version of an anime character? If so, someone probably has, but not me.

Well, if by human you refer to something like real life person, you can search for cosplay photos of the character you want, and then choose one as a base form.

Easiest way to convert them is to go have an hour of final fantasy 13 (-2 if you like)

You will see how the game pulled of a 3D, yet anime like character.

Now try it on your tulpa.

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

By human, I mean not looking like a drawn cartoon - not only 3D, but looking like an actual human. Besides, if I ever got really good, and it turned out this was more than a psychological phenomenon, I can't spook people with what looks like an anime character following me around. I can't even say that it's a ghost then. ;)

Oh.. good idea... I hope there's people who actually look like Tomoe cosplaying him.

I've based yami's form from her anime charactor counterpart, she has the same abilities, however i've let her deviate on her own. She still has her anime charactor form but deviates into a human version at times.

The original charactor is in To-LOVE-Ru and goes by either Yami or Golden Darkness in the anime.
