Why did you bring that up, Lacquer?

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

The dislike am seeing for escapism is annoying.

There's reasons why people try to achieve escapism, some of

these people may not be "healthy" and gotten to a point where

they want to avoid something in life.

most tulpas would try to help people like these, if escapism

have to be part of that healing process, so be it. One day

these people may be interested in giving the physical world

a second shot, whether that be one week or ten years.

I understand that some people may personally dislike it, it's okay to not like the act of escapism.

but I believe it's wrong to dislike people because they practice this, these are good people

who's trying to achieve a goal, for whatever reasons they deem necessary.

weather or not that goal/motivation is consider valid by others is irrelevant.

I just really don't like how we talk about escapism partial or absolute as if it is a horrible thing for everyone.

only the person who is doing it can judge if it's right/wrong for his/her personal situation.

and yet again, some people are just curious. And I think they

have the right to experience something new if they are willing to put

the work/effort/time into it.

escapism is part of a goal and/or contact between the host and his/her tulpas, let's please not pretend we understand this subject well enough to judge these people or the act itself. Even My input on this is just my own personal opinion,

And let's please just stop the hate, am sensing too much of it.

Koomer.

From earlier, the discussion about escapism.

That link is only relevant if you really believe that people only practice escapism to avoid social interaction, which I thought I already pointed out that that is not the case.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

You said, "Oh boy." I don't think that qualifies as properly pointing it out. Please, explain.

I figured you'd get it.

Anyway, yes, some people practice escapism as a way to avoid social interaction, but those people are just pathetic. Those who do it to avoid social interaction in general, that is; and not just because they need some time to themselves on occasion.

There are many reasons one might "escape", depending on how you define it.

Even mere meditation can be escapism. It's not so that you don't have to deal with people. When you "escape" within yourself, it can be a method of enlightenment; of true calm, and to help better understand yourself.

Switching qualifies as that, as your wonderland can be tied in with your subconscious. It would provide a calm, quiet place for you to think, or find yourself. Whatever you want.

It helps you find happiness within yourself, rather than through material possessions, or any kind of social status.

After all, inner happiness is the most important kind of happiness.

If you hate the world, why do you think you have the right to make another thing to live in that world and live your life for you while keeping both of you alive? Do you even think they know what they're getting themselves into if they agree? What if the tupper is only agreeing to make you happy? What if they don't really like it either? It's hard work and they will never be able to be themselves, because they're forced to live with your history and handle all the responsibilities on their own, alone.

By running away from all of that, you're learning nothing. Hiding from your problems isn't the way to go, you will never make yourself better and you will never learn. It's sad and pathetic. If you don't like the real world, why don't you try finding ways to appreciate it and deal with it like people do instead of running away like a big, disgusting baby. Do you think we all were born loving the world despite it kicking it us in the balls repeatedly, never thinking it's bad? Well, lemme tell you, that's not how it goes. Everyone hates the world sometimes. The difference is that we can understand what good it does to us and our growth, without it we would be nothing. We end up being better, stronger people, because we survived, adapted and learned. Like some weird survival of the fittest kind of deal. You can't deal with it, do yourself a favor and just get some helium. It's fast, it's cheap and it's easy to get, the best way to off yourself. You'd make it easier for your tupper, too.

Now, if you don't like the world while a tupper would like to try it out, why settle for something permanent? Go ahead and switch and mix it up a little, some days you'll take care of the responsibilites and sometimes the tupper will, stick a nice balance so it's not pure escapism or slavery but instead teamwork. You'll learn a lot more that way than you ever would by escaping into a world where nothing ever goes wrong and you never have to work hard to get something. Start handling the problems you got instead of dreaming you could just get forever avoid them, you lazy mooches.

All of my this times 100000000

I couldn't possibly have said it better myself.

You people (stereotyping a bit here) just aren't realistic enough. You think about something, it sounds good, and so you try it. You don't think hard enough about the consequences, or the implications, you just do it. That's a good explanation as to why lots of you have tulpas in the first place.

All of this is a serious thing. And a lot of you have a lot of growing up to do. You should have grown up before even starting this, but that ship has sailed.

You need to think things through. Seriously. I don't mean you sit down one afternoon and think about whether or not you should switch. It should be something you think about, and talk seriously with your tulpa about for even weeks before you decide to do it permanently. It's childish to make such a decision over an hour of thought.

I guarantee most of you never considered the possibility of what Sands said in the first paragraph.

Not to mention switching permanently because you "hate the world", or because it's unfair, or because your situation isn't desirable, is so fucking pathetic I can't even begin to express it in words.

You deal with it.

You just fucking deal with it like everyone else does. And I mean everyone. You might think you have it bad, or that you're unhappy, but you don't even know what the meaning of unhappy is.

This is the world you were born into, whether you like it or not. And like Sands said, isn't it a little selfish to force another being into this "horrible" world, just to make you feel better? Not to mention forcing all the responsibilities of this world onto your tulpa, when they probably, again, have no idea what they're getting themselves into.

This world isn't here for you to be happy all the time, and for bad things to never happen. Bad things do happen. They always have, and they always will. And it's up to you, whether you take the bad things that life throws at you like a little bitch, or if you grow, mature, and learn from them. That's why there is suffering in the first place. So that you might learn, and better yourself.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
