When I concentrate hard on Matilda, not only do I get head pressures but also my jaw tries to force itself as wide as possible. I can still easily keep my mouth closed but the the sensation of my jaw trying to open remains.

I have tried forcing in different positions to see if it is attributed to something else but my jaw sensation only occurs when concentrating.

Does this type of thing happen to anyone else?

You have to keep your jaw shut. Without you trying, it hangs open. So what's going on is you're not focusing on your jaw, so it's trying to hang open, which is distracting you. Stop it.

What Slime said.

That's just what happens when you relax.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

whenever I meditate I have a light vacuum in my mouth to stop it from hanging open. imagine sucking on a straw, with your mouth closed.

You said the jaw was distracting him but also that he's not focusing on it... he already cleared up he keeps it closed just fine but he's trying to concentrate on his tulpa, not his jaw.

My lip hurts.

If I remember correctly, and this is what I do, in meditation the tongue usually lightly touches the top of the mouth or back of the teeth. I found this a very natural position that naturally maintained itself.
