DragonFriend December 8, 2013 December 8, 2013 Hi. I'm quite new to all this and after quite a bit of debating with myself, decided I wanted to create a Tulpa. I wanted a dragon Tulpa, similar to the dragon Saphira from Eragon, but with an almost completely different personality (I felt it would be wrong for me to completely copy another character). Anyway, I have been rather obsessed with Eragon and Saphira and can almost perfectly visualize her in my head and I feel I know her personality very well. Could this possibly mean that I may have already made some process on visualization and/or personality without realising it? any answers would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance. Linkzelda December 8, 2013 December 8, 2013 Since you’re new to this, what I can really tell you is progression is better than perfection. If you’re having a decent time visualizing your soon to be tulpa, you’re already on the process. The initial stages of the tulpa creation process involves as much application to inward focus into their existence as possible. And don’t be afraid if any deviation or personality/character/behaviors change around a bit, just see them as transient stages that will eventually lead to the form you and your tulpa can be content with. I spend at max 3 hours a day (active) tulpa forcing and I also spend almost all of the other time (passive) tulpa forcing. I was just wandering exactly how effective passive Tulpa forcing is. I usually talk to her about things around me and ask her how she feels about things(as of yet I have had no noticeable response and have been forcing for about 4-5 days which is to be expected) as well as trying to get a general grasp of her personality in my mind and to visualize her. Thanks, I really appreciate it :). Part of the road to becoming a better person lies in defeating the darkness inside yourself, then helping others to do the same. Linkzelda December 8, 2013 December 8, 2013 What you're doing where you're asking her questions on how she feels and such is a perfect example of passive forcing. You're doing just fine with it, and there's really not a lot to it honestly. It's just a matter of consistently doing what you're doing now, and both active and passive forcing can be just as beneficial. They all lead to the same result, though if you can go for active forcing, do it as much as possible. Though it's good to do things pragmatically and take a break and passively acknowledge your tulpa as well. DragonFriend December 8, 2013 Author December 8, 2013 Wow, thanks. This really does mean a lot to me to know i'm doing it right. I think of Saphira all the time and I will make sure to notify you(if you want) when she becomes sentient/vocal.
