This happens alot, often when he tells me something, it is a long explanation and it is very difficult to figure out what he said word for word.

 

In that case, what I usually do is tell Ellie to give me more simple answers when I can't hear/understand what she's saying. This might help for you. The idea is that once you can understand the more simple answers, it will eventually be easier to understand the long, detailed explanations your tulpa is trying to give you.
