Do deviations occur in the Tulpa during the visualization phase or the imposition phase?

I am just starting to visualize (been about 2 hours now) my Tulpa, but as soon as I get a glimpse of him, the image becomes something else. I don't want to parrot, but I'm wondering if I'm supposed to keep the image in my head of how I think he should look? And keep bringing him back to that image I am holding of him. I visualize him doing different things. I'm not ready for imposition. I've watched him walking, and can get a good idea of everything except for the head, which changes species even, like rapidly.

I want him to look a certain way when it comes time for imposition, but am fine if he wants to change. I just don't know if it's too early for him to have sentience and changing, or if that's just my mind changing images because I can't hold a steady thought.

It could be either.

You could try for the first little while to hold an image of what you want your tulpa to look like in your mind and let him know that this is what you want him to look like. It takes practice to be able to hold it for long periods of time especially if your mind is prone to wondering.

You could also just ask him if hes trying to change or if it's you. I have issues with this from time to time and faces seem to be a common problem among most people but odds are very good that with practice and time the problem should go away.

At the level you're at, seeing as you've only been visualizing for two hours, nothing is going to be solid or concrete quite yet. You're going to have to deal with a tulpa having a dynamic form that varies and shifts around occasionally, but that's fine, it's all just practice.

Personally, I find that if you both work on a form together, the process becomes cooperative and much easier on both of you. Try achieving sentience or something close to it first, and then you can work on a more fleshed out and final form. While you work on sentience, give your tulpa a very simple, recognizable form, such as a floating ball, or stick figure, or whatever suits you. It'll be easier to give your tupper more independence without the distraction of a body getting in the way.

This is just one way to go about things, so if it doesn't seem right for you, don't do it this way. The principle does work the other way around, in some cases, in that with a body, your tulpa can identify with a voice more easily. Do what makes you comfortable and what works.

Hope I was able to help you out.

I totally missed the two hour thing haha yeah it's way too early to be concerned. Just keep practicing.

He seems to like this form, but it's probably too early to tell. I don't mind the form in the least.

Just keep with it. It is a little too early to tell but you never know.

Also just so you are aware, before imposition can be attempted you have to have a fully sentient, developed tulpa and his form has to be down 110%

Imposition takes a long time and I can only think of one or two people that have actually achieved it.

To give you an example I have had Toby for 20 years and I still don't have him imposed.

It can be done but it's a leangthy process.

Of course I should add that 20 years is not typical. Imposition has been achieved in a few months, possibly less. But as Amer says, it does take time and effort.

After one day I am mentally exhausted. I hope it gets easier to concentrate on my tulpa.

It's like a headache without the pain. And I slept like 10 hours.

Yesterday I didn't sleep but 4 hours.

Kinda sounds like that head-pressure thing that gets talked about by alot of early tulpamancers. Might be the first signs of life. Or it might just be a slight headache from the mental exhaustion, I dunno. But if you're getting headaches and mental exhaustion after 1 day, you might want to dial things back and take things a bit easier.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to dial things back. I've been puking as well, and keep having dry heaves tied to my mental fatigue.

I think of my tulpa a little bit now. Not as extensively as I did yesterday. It may take me awhile to build one.
