First I was on the bring4th.org forums for a few years.

Then someone posted a video, which led me to this video, where he talks a little bit about tulpas:

 

 

I had heard of tulpas before but didn't give them much thought.

 

Then a Google search led me to Tulpa.Info when I searched about the dangers of tulpas.

Friend informed me of tulpas, a quick google search brought me here.

Though I already had tulpas, I didn't completely realize what they were or that they were sentient for that matter. Then I stumbled upon it in the transgender community on reddit. Due to a few experiences I had due to being multiple, I knew I found something related and followed a link here. Read about servitors and recalled my own experiences and saw that the methods that this community work more or less. Then I stayed.

Same answer as Hysere. I listened to the creepypasta once while playing minecraft. One day I remembered it without any logical reason. I found the Tulpa guide from FAQman and from there I got here. Well, that's about it^^
