Lucilyn,

Super fast cause I know you are busy. Do you find midget clowns to be funny or disturbing? Or are they both?

I think you are smart enough that basic answers to basic questions are fine. You always put so much work into every little answer, take a page from my book and just say what needs to be said. And maybe judge based on the person how much you should write (you know, from a well thought out post, or one lacking in legible english)

That last sentence, Lucilyn, is probably something I can never do well because by default, I have no understanding to scale how tolerant the person will be to read something. There's too many occurrences of TL;DR, laziness, or being pressed for time for me to even want to judge a person. Because that judgment, as you see in prior posts, creates the idea that I have an ulterior motive to bait someone into making a certain response. But I'm not here to get a certain emotional response, I'm just here to make a statement over some confusion while knowing it's just one impression that doesn't really have to matter if that person chooses.

Edit: Sorry, to make a statement over why that judgement is thrown out of the window: When I did make generic responses in the past, the person thought I was trying to be a smart ass because they either made some conspiracy that I wasn't taking them seriously. So it's a bit of a hit-and-miss.

I could say that this happens due to things being one-sided, and the person wanting me to know what goes on in their head, and when I try, they complain that I'm trying to be a know-it-all, but I'm really trying to compensate since there's a lack of reciprocation. If that's a sign of self-importance, of being egotistical, then all hopes for clarification gets thrown out the window. In other words, any attempts for reciprocation gets destroyed because there's a paranoia.

Super fast cause I know you are busy.

We aren't that busy. But setting aside time for a realtime conversation always requires like 1-2 hours.. and nothing else.. forum posts are so much easier to just check every so often and spend a few minutes on. The few conversations we've done so far were just, long and boring really. Some people prefer them but ugh. Not 'nuff time.

Uh, I googled "midget clown" and didn't see a single "funny" looking image. I dunno I've never really seen a clown before, but if they were doing funny stuff then yeah I would like them. Size doesn't really matter to me, I treat all people like normal people (really short people, tulpas, imaginary autonomous dream personas, actual dream characters, random peeps). But if they owned their stature and played off that then yes that'd be fun too.

Was I supposed to say anything else? Clowns aren't scary. Only as scary as anyone else who puts on a mask, and if they're in a horror situation then at least they're going to be a fun murderer and not just a murdery murderer.

When I did make generic responses in the past, the person thought I was trying to be a smart ass because they either made some conspiracy that I wasn't taking them seriously. So it's a bit of a hit-and-miss.

That is true, I have seen that a lot. I don't really get why everyone is so quick to get upset here.. I've seen basically no elitism the whole time I've been on the forum. What I have seen was just "We do not like X, take it away". Nothing like "We're better than you because Y", but I guess that's implied. Anyways, you don't do anything like that.

It's so rude to be rude to someone who took time out of their day to try and help you.

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!

Hmm, yeah the term "midget" is actually considered not politically correct and derogatory these days. I think they prefer "little people." I agree, when they embrace their littleness as beautiful and a source of joy, then they are fun to watch. It was a silly question to break the mood, but being Melian, I really wanted to know too.

I wonder how many of you pronounce my tulpas' names incorrectly? I just thought about that, because I myself pronounced a lot of Japanese words/names incorrectly early on.

First thing's first, please, it is not "rye-zen" (rye like "right"). I've been called Raisen by people trying to say my name on TF2 for years. In Japanese, a i u e o are pronounced ah, E, (m)oo, eh, oh. So Reisen is Re-E-se-n. Or as I more often tell people, Ray-sin. Not raisin either, it's an S sound not a Z. Ray-sin.

Immediately breaking that rule, I do not pronounce Tewi how her name is canonically pronounced. The symbol ゐ (wi) in Japanese hasn't been in use for many years, because for some reason it sounds exactly like i (They still use wo that is pronounced o, though wa is still wa). I do in fact pronounce it close to two-E, though more tew and less two. Tewi is read how it looks really. Canonically/in Japanese, her name is read as Tei, which is Tay like Taylor. If you want to call her Tei, she still responds to that. For both of them, Inaba is technically pronounced E-naw-ba, though we lean towards in rather than een. Reisen and Tewi Inaba. Though honestly neither of them tend to use more than their first name. (Inaba just means rabbit and is more what people call them in Touhou than their legitimate names)

And Flandre is weird too, because it's a french name in japanese in english. I pronounce it flonn-dray, like flaun(t)-drai(n). In Japanese it's spelled furandooru (foo-ron-doh-roo), but then, they spell Scarlet as sukaaretto (sue-ka-re-toe), so pronouncing it more english-ly seems fair. And yet it's still a french name, which I'm pretty sure is just flander/s (think simpsons). Some people call her flander I guess. She definitely does not respond to anything but Flandre (flonn-dray) or Flan (flahn).

Lucilyn is a name I chose for her, so regardless of how it should be pronounced it's how I say it. And I say it loose-i(n)-linn. Loo-sill-in more or less. I think some people may read it as Lucy-lynn, which is fine, if you prefer that she apparently doesn't mind. She'll respond to Luci pronounced Lucy. Her last name Suwa is pronounced like the Japanese Lake Suwa or Suwako, sue(suit)wa(water). Lucilyn Suwa. If for some strange reason you want to call her Suwa you can, but not Suwako. Also her hat is named Pyonta, which was borrowed from Touhou fanon. Pee-yo-nta, said fast, piyonta.

Scarlet is pronounced Scarlet. (Not sukaaretto lol)

Sylvia is pronounced sil(silver)via(vee-uh).

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Who are the Patriots?

La li lu le lo.

This life of games and diligent trust,

it's the things we do and the things we must.

I'm now tired of being cussed,

so go sleep forever, end to dust.

-Crystal Castles, VANISHED

I'm aware of who or what this group is.

I thought it would be amusing to toss in the phrase, since Japanese name pronunciation came up.

LA LI LU LE LO is a phrase Nipponese kids first learn when they're studying English - certain words in Katakana are particularly difficult to pronounce, so the youngsters have to really dig their heels in to it...

Of course, you couldn't ask if you didn't already know. But what else was I supposed to say?

I think we're pretty good at ra ri ru re ro. Kind of glad we're already fluent in English, because L's feel harder to learn than R's. It's like a 'th' but you 'R' a bit too.

Hi, I'm Tewi, one of Luminesce's tulpas. I often switch to take care of things for the others.

All I want is a simple, peaceful life. With my family.
