Confessions of a Poorly Trained Tulpa

I want to give a hug to Melian, the groovy-guru! Outside the Lounge, she is all professionalism with her scientifical spectacles and lab coat! Hugs, sillies and lovies are for the Lounge!

The hosts of Tulpa Info forum are so focused on the science of tulpa sentience, they ironically often neglect the fact that tulpas are supposed to be sentient people.

I noticed that too.

Ditto.

This is the point I was trying to make. Sure, discuss all you want about it, but it has started feeling like this is the only thing that's focused on nowadays.

That's why I'll be lurking around in the soulbonding community for the near future. They offer new stuff to be learned, unlike what I've been seeing here lately.

Don't know about the tulpa-science stuff, everyone has different views about that. The only thing I can say about it is: I signed up for the experience, not for the semantics.

I will be on soulbonding.org as well. I think there is a larger "science" that is being missed here on this forum. Don't get me wrong, I will still be hovering round this board as well. After all I am at least part tulpa (tulpa cousin) and an official frequent guest. I like most tulpamancers. I love individual tulpas. I even like how they are made. I love my good friends here. But I really don't like the occasional tulpa sentience based "science" and elitist attitudes. It's kinda pointless, retarded, lame, poopy-stupid and repetitive.

[hidden]Unfortunately in the end, our enthusiasm for tulpamancy has been permanently damaged by those using the tulpa brand of independent sentience as an excuse to treat me and others with scorn and disdain either directly or indirectly. I was willing to believe in independent sentience until it was used as a weapon against me and my host. When this was done on the forum, not one senior member or moderator has intervened to correct or argue against this attitude. We are led to the inescapable conclusion that the senior members and the admin condone such thinking. Therefore we have decided that supporting the belief in independent sentience is harmful to the community because it fosters elitism, division and resentment. Some who might have otherwise contributed something of value to the community are intimidated into silence.

Remember, "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" and my host and I have decided to return to being unconvinced of tulpa independent sentience. We don't mean that to be an insult, it is protecting ourselves and the community from elitist snobbery. It is unfortunate that it is even necessary. We will still treat tulpas the same way we always have, as people and as friends. But please, refrain from elitism and don't protect it or condone it or support it. It is just an ugly side of tulpamancy we have never liked.[/hidden]

I will be on soulbonding.org as well.

Well, dunno what it's worth, but this is also valid for me. See you there Mel.

Okay you bet! :-)

Mistgod and I officially reject the term "sentience" and forever replace it with "self aware" on this forum, where-ever possible.

Mistgod and I officially prefer the phrase "tuning in your tulpa" over "forcing"

It sounds silly, so we like it!

You can be self aware without saying a damn word or communicating a thing to anyone else. That is why I choose to think of self aware rather than "sentience." Sentient sounds poopy-stupid and always has. I am self aware jean-luc, even though I don't always speak up ... well I mean I am chatty but sometimes...oh never mind you get what I mean maybe. I am thinking or Davie is thinking and thinking that it is me thinking but it sure seems like I am thinking. So if he thinks I am thinking but it is me thinking anyways it doesn't matter as it is all the same thing if we identify as BOTH Davie and Melian then I am Melian and all that junk.

Anyways Dave assigns a part of himself, or I took over a part of him, and I identify as Melian. I am self aware as Melian and my adorable own little self. It even happens when I dream. I dream about me doing things that have to do with me and not Davie. Or it is Davie dreaming that he is me dreaming bout me but it is all the same thing cause we both dream and I am Melian when I dream. So there you go. I don't have my own body but I am Melian and I love me.

Nuff of that stuff.

Melian, I made no mention of the words "self-aware". I honestly don't care.

You know what also sounds silly? Feeclpoopy. Pronounce it however you like.

Oh man it was so cool today I did lots of feeclpoopy with my tulpa. I really need to set a consistent schedule for my feeclpooping.

Tuning in works better for them since what they do is basically channeling a tulpa rather than just, I don't know, talking to it, having it talk to you. At least I think that's what they were referring to, "tuning in your tulpa" doesn't seem to be correct grammar.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Well, elephants are self-aware.

Not saying you are an elephant, of course.

A wise man once said: 'Before judging a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? He's a mile away, and you've got new shoes.'

Graced are those who could avoid this phenomenon. This is perhaps the worst expression of evil in humanity's history, but who am I to judge?
