I have always found extreme realists/skeptics to be cynical, close minded and arrogant. He didn't take the time it would require to be even close to fully informed about tulpamancy and all its nuances. He dismissed Melian without looking deeper into it, without asking me any questions about her or asking what I think in general about tulpas. It is obvious he had his mind set from the get go and came in with a bias and foregone conclusion. He had no interest in learning anything at all or he would have spent more time on it. It came off like this: "You are all not as informed/intelligent about empirical science and logic as I am and only imagining things and making it all up. I don't need to read more or hear more goodbye." He has no idea of the mind power here behind tulpamancy. It is an insult to you guys and to me.

As I stated early there I feel pretty much the same way about his behaviour. He mainly ignored all my points, and at the one time he wanted to prove why I'm wrong he continued to say the same stuff as before without even reflecting anything that was posted in this thread. He didn't even delivered real arguments, just his unreflected opinions.

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

LinkZelda would have buried him. LOL

I think it's pretty much you, Lumi, and Yuki.

Allow me to argue that statement. It's like almost two weeks old, but you forgot Waffles, NoneFromHell, and myself. Odd that half are staff members though...

Then he promptly closed the thread from further discussions. Well, he can't stop us from talking to each other about what he had to say and what he didn't grasp. By his last comment about Melian, he proved that he did not read my responses to his OP very well at all and totally misinterpreted what I was saying. He also ignored FadingSpectrum completely.

I hate it when these supposedly science minded people drop in to announce our illegitimacy after barely reading anything. He was right about Melian being an "imaginary friend I haven't let go of." So what? That doesn't mean she isn't a tulpa or that she didn't develop into something most people have not experienced. Also, I wasn't claiming that Melian has been around since birth, as she wasn't, I was responding to FadingSpectrum, but he totally missed that.

He also ignored my point about lucid dreaming.

Fade: That disappointed me. I wanted to see what kind of rebuttal he had for my point! And I didn't even get to tell him about that one time that solidified my belief in the guys either. :( I suppose I still could, but I'm not sure Sea's even reading the thread anymore. At least, he's not replying.

Yeah he sure put us in our place though didn't he? <--sarcasm

I think we should just disregard anyone who wants to be convinced that tulpas are legitimately real. Anyone like that surely didn't search the forums or even really wants to learn from the responses they get.

I'm not going to listen to you guys since you are all probably just talking to yourself and don't really have a tulpa like me.

So, Davie and I have a new plan for the rest of this year and 2016. We are going to take every third day away from the internet. We already did that yesterday and stayed off for 24 hours! Then what we are going to do is do one day on Deviantart, then the next day on Tulpa Info and the third day off. So you will only see us on the forum about every third day or so (it will be about every three days on the rotation with variations here and there). So sorry bout that but there will be less Mistgod-Melian posting going on. I know, it is horrible I am sorry. I still love you guys. For those following us on deviantart, it won't be so bad for you and stuff.

I will make this as brief as I can.

I have written in the past that I didn't come to Tulpa Info to understand Melian's nature so much as to share her and tell our story to others. But, as I interact on Tulpa Info, I have been learning things about Melian that are very profound. It's more like learning things about her that I already knew but didn't emphasize or really having reflected upon deeply enough in the past. There was never a reason to before talking to other people about her really. Melian just was. In the past, before her going online, I didn't bother to analyze her as much.

Two critical things I have learned about Melian from Tulpa Info:

1. Melian is not "non-sentient." It is clear the way I think about Melian, the way I talk about her that I treat her as a sentient person. Saying she is illusory and non-sentient, but still a person, was an illogical statement. That was how I was first describing her to people. By arguing that all tulpas were like that and that Melian was "not sentient" it gradually forced me to think about what I was saying and how I was saying it. I had one of two choices: Admit that I treat Melian as sentient and think of her as sentient or stop referring to her as a person and stop treating her as a person. There is no way I can stop treating Melian as a person. So. Melian is sentient. I did compromise in saying that she is a form of apparent subjective sentience, or dependent "borrowed" sentience. BUT you guys got me to agree that she has a level of sentience and by default, so do all tulpas. That was a huge step for me.

2. Melian has hidden thoughts, hidden memories and hidden motivations. I have been saying in the past that Melian and I are blended and I know all of her thoughts and emotions and she knows mine. Well, she may know all of mine perhaps. But it is clear to me now that Melian does indeed have hidden thoughts, hidden memories and hidden motivations. When I talk about her, I occasionally say something like "I don't know why she refuses to be summoned to lucid dreams. She just doesn't like it and she won't say why." When I write something like that, it is hard to reconcile that with the claim that she has no hidden thoughts or motivations from me. This is another sign of apparent sentience or independence that I failed to emphasize or reflect on. So, maybe many or most of her thoughts are known to me, but certainly not all of them. So much of her personality is based on things she doesn't want to share sometimes. Melian has private things and private memories, or she wouldn't and couldn't be considered independent from me to any degree at all.

Now I just learned about direct realism vs. indirect realism (epistemological dualism): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_and_indirect_realism

I think, I have a sortof mental dualism myself and conflict about the realness of the universe. One part of me is a direct realist, and another part is an indirect realist. No it makes no sense. I am an enigma of contradictions.
