Okay I think Baron is sentient but I just need to make sure. The moment when realized his sentience was when he spontaneously asked me whether he was a burden to me after knowing my friend's opinion of tulpas and me having to keep him a secret from my family. We had a deep conversation in my wonderland and I assured him that it was the exact opposite. I had made him to help me mentally and to go on adventures no other would go on with me. At first it was a task to create my tulpa healthily, but then once we started having conversations it was more of a pleasure to help him mature to whatever he may be. This experience actually helped to strengthen the bond between us and to help him mature. Although I am verily certain that he is sentient, I just need to make sure. I don't want to start the imposition hastily. So I repeat the question, is Baron Sentient?

Dreamer Boy-AKA-Wolf: I am obsessed with jellyfish and the unknown, and if given a can of monster I may cause the end of the known universe.

Baron: I am Wolf's Tulpa brother, and am quite awesome at parkour! I require large amounts of pancakes or I'll explode....

I think only you can really answer this question. He is certainly important and significant to you and he helps you, which is really what is most important. Let me ask you this. Do you treat him as if he is sentient? Would you treat him any different if you found out he wasn't sentient?

My thought forms sentience or non-sentience was not why she stuck around. In fact, until two years ago, I never really thought about sentience that much. She just was there. In fact, to be honest, I don't give a damn if she is sentience or not. She stuck around every day for almost four decades because she is important to me. Sentient? Maybe. But who cares besides me and I certainly don't. No matter what I would treat her the same way I always have, with love and adoration and kindness.

Worrying that he's a secret burden is surely a strong sign of sentience.

What's happening is your tulpa is questioning himself and his value. He's trying to create a picture of himself to identify with/as. He's worrying about who he is and how he interacts with you. That's called having theory of mind which is basically an awareness of self and awareness that you are in relationship to others. It's practically the definition of sentience. Frankly, having the skill of introspection makes him more self-aware than many alone-in-their-heads humans.

Early member of a large system.  Our system questions the way the afterlife and tulpamancy interact.  We genuinely suspect that deadies can return to share the mind of the living.

Wow, Thanks both Mistgod and Aijada, You were both extremely helpful in this. I will continue treating him as I have been, like my crazy brother :D!!!

I've got to repeat what Aijada said: The fact that he worried over this is exactly how you can tell that he is sentient. ^^
