I'm curious as to how many of you who may read this meditate regularly and whether you mesh that with forcing or not. I've meditated daily for about a half hour to an hour since 2010, and I began working on my first tulpa in January of 2014. Meditation brought me to dissociation in 2013, and that ability and experience helped me with possession and later switching as well as provided a very immersive forcing experience. I wanted to know if others here has similar experiences, and if they have not would they consider adding daily meditation to their schedule. Thank you in advance for any answers given.

I did some meditation for different reasons at different times, but not regulary. Normally I don't find the time for doing that. I did some meditation during the early development of Alice, but it doesn't really work out for us anymore. We don't gain anything out of it, but it is good to get my focus back on her occasionally. In any case I think the experience you get from meditation is helpful to handle different tulpa matters easier. You simply now better how to focus, or how to step back mentally and stuff like that.

Tulpa: Alice

Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

May I ask if either you or Alice are interested in eventually attempting possession and/or switching?

We are interested and ,as i already stated in the other thread, Alice is capable moving around parts of my body, especially my left hand and arm, even though I don't detach from it. She is used to it and can even fight my control over it. The rest of my body is a different deal, since we only tested it on very few occassions. Interestingly it resulted in a "boost" for me afterwards, like higher reflexes (reacting before even realizing it) and fast but precise movements for a while before getting back to normal. I also felt some sort of shift in my heartbeats during this.

It is a very similiar approach to the way people deal with vocality. Don't move your picked body parts on purpose, but let every movement happen even when it feels like you're moving it yourself. The movement will get more distinct over time until you can clearly tell the difference, or to be more exact: You regulary don't feel the movements of the tulpa, they just happen. If the movement contains more force from your tulpa the bodyparts tends to feel cold out of nowhere.

Our trials on switching are very lowleveled so far and rather rare. It mainly contained a combination of the full body possession attempt and myself stepping back from the center of my mind, trying to relocate the main focus on Alice, which worked out "okay" for early first tests.

For the moment I'm focussing more on developing her visualisation (visual imposition?) and vocal skills further.

Ah, all right. Well, let me know how the imposition stuff goes. That sort of thing is very difficult for me to attempt, and I think it's because it's in many ways the opposite of dissociative abilities which I have the most experience with.

I still recommend picking regular meditation up, but you know what fits your schedule much better than I do.

David and I used to do haltha yoga and meditation very regularly when he was young, until about the age of 23 when he entered the U.S. Navy. He got quite skilled at it. Since then we have tried many times to go back to it. He and I can't seem to find the mental discipline to stick with it long. Maybe we should try again? For a while we were trying it to help calm me down cause I get too excited and can't settle down and stuff.

It's always difficult to reform outdated habits, but I recommend trying again. Practice makes habit.

New Year's Resolution? :-)

I've been trying to do some basic pranayama stuff for maybe half an hour a day before I start working on my tulpa as practice for doing concentrated mental work.

But what are you talking about with dissociation? What sort of meditation would allow you to do that?

I'm at work, so if you're still interested I could write a longer deal when I get home, but the meditation I do focuses on acknowledging the passive thoughts in your head until you run out, basically. The state after running out of thoughts and active awareness is trance-like, and after practicing reaching that state consistently and in a timely matter, I found that I sometimes entered an even deeper state where I lost awareness of my hearing, the feeling of the tongue in my mouth, my body, etc. as I practiced that more and more, I reached it more reliably, could come out of it with general time accuracy, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm in the process of writing a guide on meditation for dissociation, so I won't go into too much detail unless you have specific questions, but that's the gist of it.
