Hivseenah May 17, 2016 May 17, 2016 Hello, tulpa community. I've always had interest in tulpas, and it's been lovely to read about your experiences and discussions upon the matter in this forum. As much as I enjoy reading about tulpas, personally, I don't think I am comfortable with the idea of sharing my mind and perception with a different, fully sentient being, at least at this point of my life. So I'm not planning of creating a tulpa currently or in the near future. However, I am fascinated by the mental abilities some tulpas seem to inherit. Reciting whole books by heart, recalling memories in extreme detail, doing advanced calculations, telling time and setting alarms - it all sounds absolutely amazing! From what I understand, tulpas, due to being created in one's mindspace, often have a closer connection with those parts of our conscience which are otherwise extremely difficult to reach. Tulpas sound an amazing shortcut to those deeper caverns of our brains. But, of course, it would feel wrong to create a tulpa - an actual whole person - just for the sake of accessing them. But from what it looks like to me, there seems to be an almost perfect way out of this situation - a similar entity to tulpas, but without a developed personality. I'm talking, of course, of servitors. They seem to be, if constructed properly, a very handy tool for doing mental tasks mentioned above, or at the very least a simple way of automating some of the more stressful and monotonous part of our lives. So I have interest in trying to create - to construct, to program - a servitor. The Servitor Creation Guide by Hail Fall was a very sufficient source of information on this matter, after doing some more research I found it the most comprehensible and helpful. My question is: how hard could it be for someone who doesn't have any prior tulpa making experience? Everyone having servitors here so far seems to have created at least one tulpa first, so it must have been much easier for them. Would it take as much time creating as creating a first tulpa would normally do or would it be faster? Should I be too worried about accidentally creating a tulpa instead of a servitor in the process?
Guest Anonymous May 17, 2016 May 17, 2016 Well... Esterina (the person I share a body with - or, if you want some terminology up in this, my tulpa...soulbond...thingamabob, whatever she is) created servitors before she created a tulpa(soulbondwhatever) for the first time. She says it's a very different thing, at least for her, and that she finds it much easier to create a servitor than to create a tulpa(soulbondwhatever). Creating a servitor is something she can do very quickly by now (more simple servitors are almost instant for her), while creating a tulpa(soulbondwhatever), even with the help of other tulpa(soulbondwhatever)s, is something that takes her notably longer in comparison. She also says that her experience with creating servitors didn't really help her all that much when she created her first tulpa(soulbondwhatever), meaning the two processes seem to be different from the getgo. So I guess... yeah, as long as you follow the instructions well and have good mental control and discipline, you should be just fine without having created a tulpa before. Greets, AG

Everyone seems to make progress at their own speed, so there's no telling if you'd have an easier time creating a servitor than you would with a tulpa. Don't worry too much about how long it takes, anyway, since you'll likely reach your goal eventually.

Haven't made any advanced servitors (spare maybe one) since making a tulpa/soulbond/whatever actually. So yes, it is doable. Now, that all said, I myself could be a tulpa (I think I am a split instead but it is unclear), but if so, I was made some 15 years prior to making servitors and had no real knowledge of such things before I started.
