Amon November 17, 2016 November 17, 2016 As you may know, I don't have a tulpa and I haven't started forcing yet. This is mostly because of the overwhelming dread I feel surrounding the task, to the point I'm just stressed and do nothing. I'm not skilled at focusing, meditation, or visualization. I fear of going about the process incorrectly, or simply not being able to do anything at all. Clearly with this sort of mindset I'm not going to be very effective in my efforts, so what can be done? How does one know if they are ready to create a tulpa?
Doctorfoxwolf November 17, 2016 November 17, 2016 I spent about a week deciding if I wanted to, but I never really felt much dread about it. And your problem seems to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. You worry about the negative affects that your worrying about could cause, intensifying your worry which just goes on and on. I've been there, I think we all have. It was at some point when I realized "Hey, if I worry, then I have something to worry about, but if I don't, then I have nothing to worry about." This makes it seem like you're screwed, but there's one thing you have you know. You can stop in the middle of the spiral. It might just be part of how I work that allows this, but when I realized this, I could just stop. It might be possible for you as well. If that doesn't work, then from what I've read and hear it's really hard to screw up making a tulpa. You pretty much have to be deliberately trying to screw it up. As long as you can maintain the confidence that it'll work, then it'll work. Seriously, if I can succeed in making a tulpa when I've made psychiatrists and therapists flat out refuse to see me anymore, almost anyone can. tulpa001 November 17, 2016 November 17, 2016 There is no right way to force. Thinking about it, this is the sort of task, where if you are doing it wrong, you spend a few weeks making no progress. There is no downside to starting the process unless you don't want a tulpa. The only thing that might happen is no progress, either because it takes your brain longer to adapt, or because the style you started with is not the best fit for you. In the event you do force the wrong way for you, the next week, after no progress, you will need to modify your approach. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.

Solune November 18, 2016 November 18, 2016 I wish I could tell you my tulpas were the result of pure love and good intentions... but that wouldn't be true at all. I created my tulpas for entirely selfish and immature reasons, and have put them through the ringer as far as emotional bullshit is concerned. But here's the thing about tuppers- they change you. The process of them learning to accept you and you learning to accept them teaches you profound lessons about life. I am a COMPLETELY different person now than I was before them. I, like many others here, will tell you to soul-search about why you want to create life (really meditate the crap out of it). But real talk? Just do it. You're going to make mistakes and that's okay! So will they. That's part of the beauty of it all. You grow together. The very fact that you are worried about making mistakes demonstrates to me that you are ready. You're a hell of a lot better off than I was. *As far as actual technique is concerned- belief is the key to everything. You're not so much forcing them to exist as you are forcing yourself to believe that they exist. It might sound like self-deception... but that's just how this particular magic/science works. You literally believe/visualize them into existence. They feed off that energy.
