Other personality creation methods?

first time poster and generally new lurker here with a rather simple question.

 

As the title of the thread suggests, I'm looking for other personality development methods. I've looked around the forums and read a fair amount of guides, but there's only generally 2 methods people seem to use when in personality creation. Those being..

 

1: the ol' an' simple explaining to said tulpa the chosen personality traits, how they effect their morality, outlook, etc, etc.

 

2: the 'ball' method. Where you think about the traits and whatnot and smoosh em' up into a visulaized ball in your head and do whatever. I wasn't too fond of this method, so I never even really attempted it. (I have trouble visualizing things so abstract like that. I need to work on that)

 

Anyways, I've been using method 1 since the 7th, so 5 days and about 7-8 hours of personality work so far. Now, this method works fine and dandy, I was just wondering if maybe anyone out there had any other tips or methods they could share. If so, it'd be greatly appreciated.

There's another method, I think it's in JD1215's guide, you can parrot for a bit (keeping your tulpa's personality in mind when choosing responses), which enforces personality in addition to helping your tulpa become vocal.

I simply went into forcing knowing what personality I expected. That seemed to do the job well enough. Though her personality is based around a pre-existing character, so perhaps that helped.

I use the energy ball method sometimes, but I find that just talking to Maia works the best. Of course, it's different for everyone.

 

There was also one method involving pancakes I tried, it was interesting to say the least.

Pa..pancakes..? o.o I gotta hear this method. Even if it's totally crazy, it just sounds awesome.

One method is going over what each trait feels like, what I reminds you of, ect.

also, some people report accidental tulpas from role-playing the personality. Might as well be a method in my opinion.

I used TOG's jar method, and to me, my tulpa seems to be pretty dense personality wise.

Imo it does not really matter. The main reason of this parts of forcing is to memorize your tulpa's behavior pattern yourself, you may choose whatever way you like. I started with simple explanation of traits but last time I made a small flickering flame as soul, took it in my hands and transfered my thoughts via hands. Its purely cosmetic effect, so you just choose the one you like.

Romm is absolutely correct. Everybody's brain is different. It's all about choosing what is right for you (even if that sounds a bit like an advertisement).
