Flexionsensor February 16, 2013 February 16, 2013 Meh, you have to have a hypothesis based on an observation at the very least to call it science. Speaking of that motto, that was another thing that caught me to join this site. "DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!" Shameless self promotion!
Sands February 16, 2013 February 16, 2013 At the rate we're going, I'm afraid the motto has to be changed. There's not much science going on anymore. Again, skepticism. That is lacking here and it is important. Not everyone speaks the truth. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)
Nobillis February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 Warning: If you can't take weird then skip reading this post. Unless you are having the tulpa help you with math homework/whatever, I do not see any way a tulpa can boost intelligence. Put tulpae this way: You shred a part of your mind and use it for the tulpa. Of course, the tulpa is a part of your brain, so it has the same or lower intelligence of the host, unless I am missing something. Yeah, what you are missing is "when you goof off and expect your tulpa to take over, and she completes two university degrees whilst you are goofing off" conditional clause. Maybe not "more intelligent," but would you accept better educated? You're writing to others, no one is going to understand you if you explain things poorly or in a completely wrong way. You seem to me to be angry that others are not as articulate as yourself. Some are younger, some do not speak English as their first language, some are dyslexic, and some are just human. Perhaps you can cut them some slack? If a tulpa remembers almost perfectly, then he/she/it would recall answers to problems you've done before. As far as I can tell, even tulpas start to lose their memories as they get older. I used to be able to easily remember the entire Perth Metropolitan Street Directory. Now I can remember barely more then ten thousand streets. I'm pretty good with maths, ordinary sums I do in my head but I can't do square roots without pen and paper. My tulpa Nobillis seems to have only an ordinary high school level of mathematics ability. My Watchdog tulpas can't do maths for beans. So mathematics abilities seems to me to come down to how much training you have. Now, that's just a personal opinion based on my perceptions. Everyone has there own perceptions? "Recall entire books you've read" - well, I can recall entire books I've read, but even that facility is starting to fade as I age. I do keep a few of my favorite books in memory so that I can reread them, in case I get bored at work ("Foreigner", "Going Postal" and "Making Money"). "Spit out the lines to all 6 star wars movies" - no, not every line. Just most of the memorable ones. "Reiterate entire conversations" - Of course. It's called "Spouse memory." It's something every spouse learns to do if you want to survive the question "Have you been listening to me?" Try as I might, I cannot memorize the Periodic Table. Hmm, good as that may be (or not) it is still less capability then my host had when he was 18 years old. However, I've completed more university then my host, so "better" appears to be a subjective , relative term that is context dependent. In my experience, having a tulpa doesn't make you special but it can make you more social. As Nobillis would say, "Ooo, the amount of hostility this is going to get" me. Meh. I'm not as easily naffed off as my host is. Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.

Guest Anonymous February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 You saw big, bwave ducks, at least. I made Kanaya for my previous reasons, and to actually finish a tulpa, start to finish.
Sands February 19, 2013 February 19, 2013 You seem to me to be angry that others are not as articulate as yourself. Some are younger, some do not speak English as their first language, some are dyslexic, and some are just human. Perhaps you can cut them some slack? I'm angrier/more amused at him talking about this mythical vast intellectual gain with tuppers than that writing thing, my writing tips are just those, writing tips. Perhaps the most benign thing I wrote here. Critique is far from an attack and I take critique seriously, no matter how it is written. I never see it as an attack, so I never mean it as an attack, either. I don't see how this is the thing you decided to point out as me being angry, when the other parts are a lot more u mad bro. As for writing in a way no one understands, it is valid critique. It is stupid to assume everyone knows what you mean as a writer, when most likely no one but you totally understands. You can't skip shit that is obvious to you, because it's not obvious to someone else. It makes it difficult to get his point and his points go from one to another so it is impossible to follow along. He refers to "this" and "that" which he never explained in the first place. There have been so many misunderstandings which could have been avoided if some care was put to writing. As readers, we should help the writer. They refuse the help, their loss. He has yet to say anything about the writing critique. Can't say anyone's ever called me articulate, he could be younger I guess but age doesn't always mean shit with immature old fucks and mature kids, English ain't my first language and as far as any of my dyslexic friends go, they have always asked me or anyone else to point out their mistakes so they can correct them. I too want critique, I'm not a native speaker or a good writer, so I want people to tell me what I can do to make my text easier to understand and more... I dunno, flowing. Fluid. I am so on topic, woah. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)

It is stupid to assume everyone knows what you mean as a writer, when most likely no one but you totally understands. You forgot to mention the possibility of them not even knowing what they are talking about, half baked ideas and the like. And to respond to the topic itself: Other: Ennui and more. I had enough free time that I was bored out of skull. I'm now at a point where I rarely get that trapped in a cage feeling being stuck in places I'd much rather not be. My mind is free where my body is obligated to go. And if my mind is busy, my spirit is free. Not especially, it's more related to a writer expressing them self effectively bit.
Sing February 21, 2013 February 21, 2013 Has anyone validated in even a minor form that a tulpa/servitor leads to any form of intellectual gain?
Sands February 21, 2013 February 21, 2013 No one hasn't, which is why I pointed out his unrealistic expectations. The THE SUBCONCIOUS ochinchin occultists frt.sys (except Roswell because he doesn't want to be a part of it)
Sing February 21, 2013 February 21, 2013 No one hasn't, which is why I pointed out his unrealistic expectations. Double negative there. "No one hasn't" so everyone has, right? xD Anyways, thanks for clarifying. As much as I'd like to believe that having thoughtforms/tulpa/mindfolk/ect could lead to intellectual gains; I don't see it anything backing that legitimately at this point in time.
