dillionchurchill March 1, 2013 March 1, 2013 The thrill of merging imagination with reality! Granted, a tail or wings have no physical implications and could even get in the way, but for many people, including myself, the idea of having a "body" that only you can perceive, making you feel powerful or elegant or awesome beyond how you normally view yourself, is incredibly exciting. The excitement comes from how it would make you feel. For those of us who are inspired by it, having beautiful or majestic wings makes us feel... well, beautiful or majestic! I think it's truly empowering. Even if only the idea that we can transform ourselves however we please... it's quite an empowering idea all around. But as I've said... I WANT SENSATIVE KITTY WHISKERRRRSS :D
GuessWho March 1, 2013 March 1, 2013 Why would anyone do this? Already asked and answered previously: http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Imposition-and-Phantom-Tail-Syndrome?pid=58318#pid58318 Why am I not seeing the appeal of this? Since it is only visual in most cases; and only visible for yourself; why care? I'm not trying to threadcrap; just trying to understand the appeal. Read through the whole topic trying to find what it is. Here's what I said: Because we love ourselves and we don't care what others think anyway. We want to add features we think are cool just for the fun of it. Other people don't need to see them. It's actually better that it can't be seen by others. I like the idea that I can appear completely normal to others, bur secretly have these cool features. I think of it as a fun experiment to try alter my appearance without actually altering my appearance. After I impose a set on nekomimi, I'm going to try make them functional. (as stated previously in this thread) How is it empowering? It does nothing but get in the way. Did you even read the post above you? I thought dillionchurchill actually stated it quite clearly. Do I need to highlight keywords for you? Here: The thrill of merging imagination with reality! To make what you perceive your actual body to be match what you feel it should be like. Some already internally feel like they ought to have the added appendage, as in species dysphoria. Others just feel like it would be a neat addition, like getting a tattoo. Still others just like messing with the brain and seeing what they can make it do. For me it's a combination of the latter two, though continuing to shift my body image to my slimegirl form could potentially create species and/or gender dysphoria. I have my reasons for doing that, and I suppose if something bad comes of it, I can either try to undo it or use what's in this thread to make what I see match what I feel I am. Bedhead March 3, 2013 March 3, 2013 This all Seems like A wonderful Idea. I am Currently working On a Tail; not Sure how My progress Is. . .
Laurora March 3, 2013 March 3, 2013 My boobs are starting to look smaller. YAY! They look small, and are getting smaller and smaller each time I look in the mirror, and when I look down they look flatter. When I go to feel them and feel them out further than they look, they just grow to normal, and when I take my hand off it it shrinks. It's really weird. After this, I'm gonna impose a badass beard! I've secretly always wanted facial hair, even before I found out about other genders and I identified as female.
NekoiNemo March 3, 2013 March 3, 2013 I can understand about boobs, but why would you like facial hair?! It's just so inconvenient. I would gladly gladly trade part of my soul just to get rid of it permanently! 現実に抗え!

I would gladly gladly trade part of my soul just to get rid of it permanently! Pretty sure there's ways to trade part of your money for that instead. TBH I was pretty happy with my beard, though I started shaving again recently. Felt more comfortable without it this time; suspect this has something to do with shifting to my slimegirl form. Cyclone March 8, 2013 March 8, 2013 Seems my question hasn't been answered yet, so I'll bump it. I've been thinking of trying this one day. Probably Wings. Do you know if it would be possible to make them just visually, and not able to be felt? Some user posted that it was uncomfortable to sleep face-up. If they were only able to be seen and not felt, this wouldn't be a problem, right? I might ask some more questions in the future, this is certainly an incredibly interesting phenomenon. And please post the whole paper once you finish it. "The night is young, Yume... JUST KIDDING IT'S ALREADY 2 AM!"
Spice March 8, 2013 March 8, 2013 Seems my question hasn't been answered yet, so I'll bump it. You, with practice, perceive the body parts as completely normal and a part of you. Like touch imposition. It hurts to have them hit, and it feels nice when you massage them. Despite the name, the host bodybody is the one usually using this account. Spice was born in 2013 and Tomoe was born in 2014.
