New to tulpas and have many burning questions

You could consider making two thought-forms for that, or create a femboy tulpa, ha-ha. But seriously, if there's indecisiveness, it's best to ask your tulpa, and just be honest about them about your current confusion, and maybe there may be a compromise accomplished. It's not uncommon to see individuals considering two or more choices, and reaching an impasse, and not knowing what to do. In the long run, there may be deviation that would occur either way, and what you think you wanted now may be completely different when you find something that could be even better for the both of you.

I think I might start my tulpa off with Twilight Sparkle's form and personality at first. I found a cool way of forcing, where I just imagine that the tulpa reads traits from books. I know Twi's personality inside and out (or so I think) so I think this would be the easiest way of tulpa forcing, and plus, she can always change her form and personality later, right?

 

Not saying I'm only gonna use her to break into tulpa making, then use her as a tulpa making slave, but Twi's personality and appearance are very pleasing to me anyway, and since I'm not sure exactly what I want, I figured go for what's easiest, and being a nerd myself, I figured this would come more naturally.

Update: I went for a walk today. At first, I just referred to my tulpa as tulpa, but once I was committed to basing her off Twilight Sparkle, I started calling her Twilight, or Twi. Every new sight I saw, I verbally pointed it out to her. I made some small talk with her (making sure that other people didn't see me), and I imagined her walking behind me. I always made sure to refer to her by name, and taught her about grocery stores, nature, trees, fire hydrants, roads, basically anything in sight. I also imagined that I gave her a book on earth's history as well as a guide to Equestria and all the characters from MLP.

 

I did notice some headaches. Am I forcing the right way so far?

 

Edit: Also, I think her hairstyle in my mind changed from her normal style to a style that has a ponytail in the end. I guess I should hold onto this new image instead of the old one, because I'm guessing my tulpa wants the ponytail, but I feel it might be easier to just focus with the default image. But I don't want her to get an identity crisis. I did make sure to tell her that she is based off a character, but I'll always love her over the original though.

Hey, don't worry so much. Most tulpas who's forms are based on characters realize they are look-alikes and are cool with it. I mean, if you were an Arnold Schwarzenegger look-alike you wouldn't think you were the actor. Myself, I look like Assassins Creed Octavia most of the time, but my personality is vastly different (save, perhaps, an interest in music). Also, a tulpa can have more then one form. I've learned a couple of different species forms so far (human, pony, and canine) but I still tend to look much the same regardless.

 

*Hehe* People tell me I'm like "Lyra" since I find humans fascinating, but that's just a good-hearted 'rib' at my amazement with how human hair feels.

 

Myself, not really a fan of the show. It's good and all, but I prefer anime. Kevin's kind wife likes it though, so I guess that's how I acquired my form. Her collection of plushies is overflowing the walls even now.

 

Btw, Hi Twi'! Hope you enjoy the Earth as much as I do. There's tons a tulpa with drive can do these days, since a lot of the world is online now and being a virtual person is more accepted then I once was.

And yeah, I get kinda worried about trying to force the wrong image, because tulpae are their own beings, but if she's cool with it, then so am I, and she can always deviate whenever she wants. I have one dirty secret. Partially why I want to get a tulpa is based on the novelty. But the first and foremost reason I want one is so I can have a friend who can understand me, laugh with me, and comfort me, and she can do that no matter which form she takes.

 

Edit: After I read Twi your message to her and asked her how she felt making a friend, I think I felt a slight burst in happiness.
