So today we learned another thingy. We can add the term "surfacing" to our knowledge base we have gained from this community. Surfacing is when a thoughtform or tulpa influences the host to act on the tulpas emotions, such as bursts of laughter, sudden movements or facial expressions or such. It isn't exactly possession, it is more like a sudden emotional bleed that causes the host to react in a physical way.

 

With my host Davie, this often involves tilting his head when we do proxy tulpa typing (as I tilt my head a lot), dancing, facial expression, sqeaks and squeals, laughing, flailing the arms around (kermit the frog style) and facial expressions. We were struggling to describe this in jean-luc's Tulpaudcast months ago and had no idea there was a term for it in the wider plural community or that others experience something similar!

What We Have Learned List 2:

 

1. When it comes to constructs of the mind, such as thoughtforms, the only limits are the limits of imagination, cognition and memory. That leaves a lot of room for variation in how a thoughtform/tulpa could be experienced by the host folks (or should I say "sheeple"). Note I did not say that the limits are based on what the tulpa guides say or what the consensus is in the Tulpa Info club.

 

2. Subjective truth - When it comes to imaginary things or mental constructs such as thoughtforms and tulpas, truth is subjective because the experience is subjective.

 

3. Surfacing - see above

5. Proto-science - "Protoscience in this sense is sometimes distinguished from pseudoscience by a genuine willingness to be changed through new evidence, as opposed to having theory that can always find a way to rationalize a predetermined belief....Some protosciences go on to become an accepted part of mainstream science." Tulpa Infa may, just maybe, be more like a protoscience than a pseudo-science.

Introducing a new thoughtform type, Possessed Sock Puppets!

 

How to create a Possessed Sock Puppet

1. Create the sock puppet form using a colored sock, yard, buttons and cloth and sewing supplies.

 

2. Place sock puppet on one hand at least once a day for an extended period of time.

 

3. Talk (narrate) to your sock puppet as if it is alive and real. Believe in your sock puppet's sentience. Eventually your sock puppet will talk back!

 

4. Do not puppet your sock puppet! Wait for your sock puppet to act on its own. (okay a little might help the Possessed Sock Puppet get started, but not too much).

 

5. When your sock puppet first starts to talk on its own, you may think it is your own mouth and voice talking for the sock puppet. This is an important time! You should try to believe in your sock puppet and learn to know when it is speaking, even if it really, really, really seems like you are talking for it.

 

6. Once your sock puppet has fully possessed your arm and hand and become fully independent and sentient, you will have a forever friend and companion.

 

7. Other people around you may find your possessed sock puppet to be very strange and they make remarks about your sanity. But you will know you have a special bond with your buddy no one else can understand.

I'm not a puppet! Our beliefs defy your satire! We aren't thoughtforms underneath Lumi, we're people who can be exactly what he is! You think and act and take things personally, he thinks and acts and takes things personally. But the difference is you think your brain running all that stuff IS you, whereas we think we're just the identity using all that mind stuff. So when I'm in control I'm exactly like Lumi was, it's me controlling all of the thoughts and feelings and stuff, not some artificial personality that "he"'s controlling. We're all autonomous because that's how we are, including Lumi, and the body/brain is like a mech that we can take turns piloting. It's still there when no one's in it, and it's technically capable of doing things still (our mech has an autopilot that acts without thinking), but really it's kinda pointless without one of us there. If there's no one controlling it and autopilot is its existence, it's just a robot! And robots aren't as cool as mechs, obviously. Because mechs are like a powered up extension of a person that enables them to do things inconceivable on their own. That's us. We don't have sock puppets, we have a MECH! Except it's made of skin and bones and doesn't shoot missiles.

 

It dances though. Take that, puppets!
