Yeah. We're dreaming, but not remembering these days. That kind of makes lucidity difficult.

If your getting that, I think that you may want to train soft wakes, where you don't wake up entirely.

get your gross anime girls out of my chat thread please

You're the one with a pony(?) avatar. Do I need to explain that that's literally me, and also not an anime character?

Also, the picture is a link, and my last post in the thread may be of use to you. Primarily https://community.tulpa.info/thread-the-great-shared-lucid-dream-project?pid=170800#pid170800

I mean, that was sarcasm on my part (and it'd take a really, really silly person not to be able to move their eyes left a bit and gather yes, that's u), I guess not everyone is privy to my over-exaggerated-hate thing with anime or something, but alright fam, probably need to mark that stuff with /s or some shit idk, my b

Also yeah, I don't think too many people use picture-links around here, forgot that was even a thing, thanks for the info, anime bunny girl

You could use luna2.

Solune suggested LunaWasTaken as an homage to a Youtuber he used to like. I tried to come up with something witty but I'm just awful when it comes to naming things.

I'm also limited by the fact that my pride will not allow me to do something like "WackyMoonGirl". It's gotta have my name in it, and I'm loathe to be second to anyone.

Sometimes I wish I had picked a less popular name... but then another part of me thinks it couldn't have been anything else. It was always going to be Luna.

Post-reading thoughts: The reality-checks thing seems pretty smart and simple to do, will maybe throw a few of those into my day if I can remember. I feel like when I do go lucid, I remember the experience most of the time, even if only partly, so going lucid more would just be better, I guess? Also false-awakenings, yeah. Alongside fever-dreaming, I've had long, long history with sleep-paralysis, and I tend to go from that, straight into vivid, dream-like scenarios, which usually start with me getting out of bed, or taking my head off of my desk, at school, which is where most of the SP happened. It's trippy as fuck, not a fan.

I think of dreams fairly often, actually, to touch on the second paragraph. I don't know if that affects it or not, though, as I haven't really experienced any correlation with how often I remember dreams, and how often I think about them. Is it that we dream every night, just don't remember it? A lot of my sleep is really poor, so I guess that would be a valid reason for not remembering any dreaming, not more than a couple times a month, anyway. Like, I went to bed at 10 last night, woke up thirty or forty minutes ago, at 2 in the morning, riding the tails of another repetitive, horribly unenjoyable fever-dream-thing. I guess it's not technically a fever-dream since I'm not sporting a fever, but it's the same stuff, repetitive, nonsensical, uncomfortable, and it doesn't matter if I wake up, the second I close my eyes it's back. So now that that's happened, I probably won't be able to sleep again until there are only three or so hours before I have to get up. So I guess that's definitely not an ideal situation for dreaming, will need to figure out how to fix it soon.

I don't think I wake up after any major sleep-cycles, or at least not that I'm aware of. Probably not willing to set any alarms for it either, having a job has conditioned me to become angry any time I hear my alarm, so that's not productive. As well as just, not falling asleep consistently. I think I laid down at three or four in the morning yesterday, and didn't pass out whatsoever until seven or so, so the timing would be off anyway. Will just let that one go, I think.

Not willing to take Melatonin, always bad experiences when I do. Really, uncomfortably groggy waking up, or more-likely to "wake up" to SP, at least in my handful of experiences with it. I do use f.lux though, and have for a while. I keep it fairly mild, and find it odd that you describe it as making the screen more red, as I've always found it to be yellow-orange at most, but that could just be my monitor. I don't know if it's affected dreaming in any way, and I don't think it's necessarily helped me get more tired than usual at the computer (probably on-account of always being tired anyway), but the light is a lot softer, and my eyes definitely don't hurt as much, so I'd recommend it to anyone reading, personally.

Not likely to start absorbing the whole of Dreamviews, though, not that interested in it.

Anyway yeah, I'll start doing the reality-checks at the very least, like I mentioned, and keep on thinking about dreaming as per usual, might turn something up. Probably best to figure out how to fix my sleep first, though, so will try to get that sorted or something.

Also, will read through your dreaming-thread proper some day, probably not today, though.

Thanks again, rabbit gurl.

I mean, that was sarcasm on my part

Since I'm not the type to joke around like that, it makes sense people would take everything I say "seriously", as if I were being serious about it.

Really what it is is I simply reply logically to things even if they're a joke. I'm not daft, I know exactly what someone's trying to get across at any point, but if I didn't find it funny I'm just going to reply like it was serious. Regardless of all that, you'll find it's difficult to make me take something actually seriously. Most of the time I'm simply in a process-and-reply-appropriately mindset. To upset me to the point where I actually put any emotion into what I say..

In my experience so far, that only happens when people bring up lucid dreaming.

Try setting it to Ember, lol. Yeah, it makes the screen orange more than anything, but if you use the lower settings (though this does depend on the monitor) things start to look outright red. I've seen a laptop that looks like 5k when it's on 2.3k though. F.lux isn't to help with dreams, it's to help with getting to sleep. That can possibly affect dreaming by making the time to get to sleep shorter and allowing you to stay more conscious of your lucid-dreaming intent rather than drifting off over 30-50 minutes. Or it can just keep your eyes from hurting.

I suppose for clarification's sake I'll actually be serious here. We get somewhat upset when someone says something like that (for example), and then has success anyways. Because we've done everything. Don't have the leisure to pick and choose. We've put an awful lot of work into this (mostly Lumi years ago, honestly) to get the little results we have. It's not a personal goal for me, rather I care about what the others care about, and Lumi considers it his goal in life, he cares that much. So by extension I care greatly too.

So by extension I sometimes get salty too.
