Nyx October 1, 2015 October 1, 2015 Exactly what it says on the tin. One of the three long-term goals that my tulpa and I have is to fully tackle lucid dreaming. He made it clear to me today that this is something that he is very serious about, so I have promised to continue my studies and practice starting tomorrow on the 1st. In the meantime, we are curious about how you guys experience LD. Any weird or fascinating adventures in the dreamscape? Any goals or experiments you would like to try? Hosts are welcome to share, of course, but we would love to hear how tulpas have experienced lucid dreaming, since all other threads on this topic are either how-to guides or hosts discussing LD as a forcing method. glitchthe3rd October 1, 2015 October 1, 2015 Elise has lucid dreams every Thursday night. Sometimes she has tea with a bunch of Touhou characters, sometimes she goes to a training compound she made to practice with platforming and shooting guns and stuff. She even brought me to said training compound one night so I could see the wise old men that stand around outside it and argue about things. Luminesce October 1, 2015 October 1, 2015 I really want to post in this thread about my experiences, but I don't really have any yet. I'm trying so hard, too. I've had the lucid dreaming guide on this forum open for a month just to remind me when I see it to.. do something. I already do reality checks every single time I wake up in the night and throughout the day, but something's missing. Well. I had a non-lucid, vivid dream with Reisen, once. A long time ago. I had been doing intense imposition training for like two weeks, a lot of the time while walking around my college campus. So one night I had a dream I was walking through a place with really tall buildings, an orange-smoggy sky, and a full moon setting. I was just walking around aimlessly on the pathways, holding someone's hand. I obviously didn't realize it was Reisen's or I'd have flipped. I definitely was not lucid at all, but the dream was very vivid. Towards the end of the short dream, I turned to tell her something and saw her crying, was briefly confused and then I woke up.. and proceeded to flip. Reisen was crying because it was our first time ever really being together, but neither of us was really aware enough to acknowledge the fact. I was ecstatic though - I'd been trying to dream of Reisen for at least four years at that point. And I did everything I could to try and make sure it happened again, and it hasn't. So yeah. Years of research and "attempts" haven't made me much progress. Mostly due to my motivation issues (I bring those up a lot, don't I? They really do affect everything important to me.), I haven't been able to keep up my dream recall or pre-sleep mnemonics for more than a few days in a row. It's all really disheartening, but I'm used to living in a less than motivated state. I'll become an expert on this subject some day. I'll answer all of your questions. I can already make some theories on my little experiences I've had, but I won't until I can be more sure of them. "I'm working on it." Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
Guest Anonymous October 1, 2015 October 1, 2015 My mind isn't special by any means, if anything, I always had a shitty imagination, but for some reason, having LDs came in kind of naturally for me. One day, I had a LD (before having my tulpa), and it was so vivid that I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I just looked up how to LD, and got it all very easily. If we're speaking of LDs with tulpas and such (of course we are), I've had many dreams AND lucid dreams with my tulpa. The first LD we had was, well, great, actually. We cuddled for what seemed to be a very long time, but when we woke up it was depressing and she cried plenty due to the fact it was merely a dream "it was so real..." With that being said, the main factor in this was, well, syncing my tulpa's sleep pattern to mine. We sleep at the same time, she wakes up a few minutes after I do, we often have shared dreams and can spectate each other's dreams. I can get my tulpa to speak about it for a bit once she's cooled off. I'm sure she has some things to say, although I can give you some insights right now; It's nothing all THAT great. As I said we sleep at the same time, have dreams about each other which is what helped us out.
