How did you or your tulpa choose its form?

Mirage chose a starting template he liked and practiced for a while to make that work naturally. Now that that's easy, he's experimenting with variations and different forms, and we'll see what look he settles on eventually. It's all his call anyway.

Joss:

Every one of us--excepting Ayo--was created unintentionally from characters Sparrow had been writing for a year or more. Even now, having figured out this whole "we're sentient entities in someone else's head" thing, we still strongly associate with those characters and the forms attached. For all intents and purposes, I am the character from the book.

Ayo is the exact same thing, except she was created after the whole "we're headpeople" revelation. I don't think Sparrow knows how to write without creating headpeople, to be honest.

So that's where our forms come from, and so far, seems we're pretty much stuck that way. Not a gripe; just an observation.

The story with Céleste's form is.. Interesting.

I started creating him intentionally, so he wasn't an "amalgam" at the beginning. I made a placeholder form for him, which was inspired by the things that I associated with being "unworldly" and "heavenly", hence the name Céleste. He was really silent, elegant and mysterious at that time. He was pure, just like a child who has yet to experience the world.

After some progression was made, he took the form of a very generic beach-bodied man, shoulder-length blonde hair, muscles and all that. His personality also deviated and he got way more "extroverted" . He was laughing all the time, moving around, dancing.. Like a happy teenager.

And then came the time where I forgot about him. I couldn't see him at all at that point. When I got back to working on him though, I started seeing a mask on his face, as if something was going under it that I didn't know about. And as you may have already guessed he wasn't moving around a lot.

He started changing up his face a lot after he decided to take off his mask, but this last one seems to have kind of stuck with him, because it's a puzzle made out of what we -both- find physically charming, so is his body. So yes, what he looks like right now is an amalgamation, but he didn't start out as one first. His form grew into what it is now through identfying with the life he lead, so did his personality.

I'm SomethingDire, and Céleste is my partner in crime.
