tulpa001 November 27, 2016 November 27, 2016 It really is awesome and cool. My host says "I love you guys". Reading this thread is really helping me with dream recall. Been approaching 100% recall because of all the dream talk. And your taste in music is still great. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.
Lucilyn November 29, 2016 November 29, 2016 I'ma sleep. I'm asleep. Reality check, nope still awake. Might be able to remember dreams now that we're on a ""normal"" schedule and people aren't running around while we sleep. I mean like really remember, because I've only been remembering 2 a night but I know we have more, even if they aren't as good. Okay, looked for three seconds and found a "Dream" song we never posted. They don't give it enough credit, it's a good song. [video=youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbboSH0gwDA Okay I didn't really know the English lyrics very well, that's a good theme for us! All about dreaming and failing and still wanting to dream anyways! lol. But the second half is definitely us. Gotta keep dreaming, even if we can't see the end, I wanna believe! Lucilyn November 30, 2016 November 30, 2016 Well there was still running around as I tried to go to sleep, but at least I could sleep after that. I don't remember if I remembered dreams, I know I did at least a few as I woke up but they were gone pretty quick. I slept pretty soundly tbh, I was really tired. That song's lyrics are really sadly fitting for us lol, she really talks about her dreams being shattered but continuing to dream anyways. We'll literally never stop dreaming either (I mean, as long as we're alive) so no matter how many times we don't lucid dream, you know, we'll keep going. That's just how it'll be for the rest of our life. The whole point of this entire thread is about us having lucid dreams! Doesn't the scope feel wider by now? But that's what it is. It's that important to us, every day's post in this thread is us saying we're still trying, we still want to dream together. I feel like, the dreary never-ending lack-of-success the last seven years, is rivaled by the equally never-ending hope of knowing we'll never give up. There's seven years behind us, but there's Imeanprettylikelyanyways many more than that ahead of us! It really is awesome and cool. My host says "I love you guys". We love you guys too! Lucilyn November 30, 2016 November 30, 2016 it sucks when you wake up after 8 hours like, ok, time to lucid dream pls, spent fifteen minutes imagining a lucid dream scenario, fall asleep and wake up in an hour like well then. That wasn't the dream I expected. And you go back to sleep and have another random dream. Because it's like, ok, I still want to try again! But you can't really sleep anymore. So you have to get up even though you still want to dream. I was thinking about meeting the others in our wonderland house, and then I dreamed about like, a post-disaster sports building for like basketball where a guy climbed a wall with a pickaxe and his hand to get to a girl who was stuck on top of a retractable basketball hoop. He had some nice moves but whattheheckwasthateven Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points. Lucilyn December 1, 2016 December 1, 2016 (edited) It is really cool that our daily posts are helping you guys with dream recall, I don't exactly understand why but as long as it works! As I -actually try- to lucid dream, I get the feeling the others have gotten, like we just have no control over it at all. You go to sleep so aware and determined, and you wake up so aware and determined, but everything that happens in between like.. you might as well not be there. Last night I literally watched a dream from the perspective of like a camera, recording a guy climbing a wall with a pickaxe to save someone near the roof. That's cool and all, but like, that's not me. That's not even Lumi. That's our brain being completely random, with no input from us whatsoever, before or during the dream. Every time we try we wake up feeling utterly ignored. So the question is, how can we get more control over our dreams? Not even as in lucidly, just, how can we make it so we have any influence whatsoever on the way we dream? I dunno, maybe that's a question for Tewi. She hasn't really figured it out yet, but she's of the mindset that there's no question she can't answer. That's a good mindset. {the song linked was another obscure Japanese artist, now gone from the internet - here's another (very different) song of theirs at least} Edited July 28, 2023 by Luminesce Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! Lucilyn December 2, 2016 December 2, 2016 I lied I actually knew what to do and I did it, but I was hoping maybe Tewi could think of something better. Our only kinda-lucid dreams happened during vivid dreams (via dream induced lucid dreams, realize you're dreaming in-dream), and those only happen late into your sleep cycles, OR when your mind is just kinda awake. And the time Lumi actually got to the wonderland was after he had gotten up to get a drink and gone back to sleep. SO after 5ish hours I'm got up and stretched and whatever for a few minutes before going back to sleep. Intended effect? Kinda sure I guess. Intended results, no, but it's better than nothing. I had a relatively vivid dream that we were going to a new college with Lumi's highschool friends, and I remember we finished our work a little quicker than our friend so we were like writing on a paper or something. Not super detailed, but detailed enough to be detailed! And the next dream after I got up again I dreamed we (in a totally different scenario) had to take a test where we had to read a book and answer reading questions with a time limit of.. one hour seventy five minutes.. anyways, the test was like a booklet with literally pages of the book and then multiple choice questions lol. And most importantly of everything I've said so far, at one point we stopped and were just thinking about the book and drifted off, but then I(w/e) remembered I was being timed and so brought my attention back to the test. That's the exact feeling of pushing through losing focus in a dream to become lucid! It was about a dream thing, but it still happened, feeling sort of like you're falling asleep in the dream but regaining your focus. That's a super good sign for this! I'll keep doing it! Lucilyn December 3, 2016 December 3, 2016 kind of annoying getting up when you just wanna sleep, but knowing your bed will be warm when you get back in it is enough motivation. I'm havin pretty consistent kinda-vivid dreams, like the kind that aren't totally immaterial and have details, but not the kind that feel really real. But that's definitely gotta be progress! Could become lucid any dream now! I wonder if like, getting up and stretching like I've been doing is healthy? We know stuff about polyphasic sleeping and how it actually works somehow, and the guy we learned about it from calls normal sleep "bear sleep" and doesn't talk highly of it. I wonder if it's good to periodically break up the lying down and not moving. Normally we couldn't go back to sleep when physically or mentally awake like that, but I can like this because I'm getting up when I'd normally be falling back asleep within minutes. Found a way to use our weird waking up between REM cycles to our advantage! Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! Doctorfoxwolf December 3, 2016 December 3, 2016 Sleep and how it works depends upon the person. I myself would not be able to get up multiple times a night since that would up my chances of having sleep paralysis from 25% to 100%. tulpa001 December 3, 2016 December 3, 2016 Hey, can you define polyphasic sleeping? That sound like it might be useful to know about. I thought that normal people wake about four times a night, and turn over, but don't remember it. That's what we do, but we remember it. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.
